I'd disagree. It's 1 factor in some cases. Then we have: failing mental health support, failing homeless support, failing veteran support, failing media support, failing education systems, failing penal systems, failing mandated employment systems failing court systems, failing police systems. And friend groups that rely on all these things to do their support only to fall short because they don't see the man trying to talk... Because the media and education and medical systems all said they are…

Lucky for us, if contraceptives ever fail, we live in the UK. Where for now, abortion is legal. That said, our dick bag of a government is looking to scrap our human rights laws so they can "remake them more British." Cause ya know, when Britain forced them on the world in the first place with the Magna Carter.... We never thought others might like them...

No form of birth control of 100% effective outside of not having sex. Condoms can be damaged. Pill can be ineffective due to alcohol consumption. Same goes for implant. Even having the tubular OP isn't 100% and same goes for vasectomy on that one.

In my wife's case, the treatment she's on to stop her spine fusing into a long calcium stick would fuck up any child she conceived now. The treatment is life long and the only 100% safe option is no sex.... I do side with pro choice but that choice does need to be extended to men too. But I think there's much more important hills to be fighting on before that battle is taken. Like the fight for proper support for male DV victims.

We wife wants to get her tubes tide, first question she was asked was "can't your husband get a vasectomy, it's safer and can be reversed." Reversal is about the same chance of it working according to NHS website. And according to my wife, the ectopic pregnancy risk isn't much higher than standard. In her opinion, me having a 30% chance of suddenly having life long pain in my groin compared to her having an increased chance of something she already has a chance of if we don't use condoms is a no…

I've been a father for 5 years. The only gift I've been give has been "happy father's Day" and about 3 hours of alone time. This year I'm hoping to make a memory for my dad. Gonna buy him flowers, dunno if he's ever had flowers bought for him before but I don't want his first to be his last. Take him to a really rustic pub in town and just chill and listen to his woes... He's not been the best example of a father, but every bad choice he's made I know has been with good intentions. I don't expec…

How can she say most victims are women when all victims are being recorded as women and girls regardless of the gender?... The data is completely biased. In other news, I poked my head outside for a smoke last night to see a woman hitting a guy Infront of his kid shouting "I will never be a mother to your fucking kids." The guy did not retaliate. Made sure his kid was fine, got in his car and drove off after the woman left.

This is a sentiment that I have had for some time but not quite in the same vein. It's not women that have been had, we've all been had by it. With the invention of condoms, sex became entertainment instead of survival. Because of that, they weren't locked to homes raising a constant stream of kids (cause ya know, humans still liked sex...) So they had the ability to work and many of them wanted to with that number increasing as time went on. The people running the show saw the opportunity to lo…

Depends, cause they can all for the same objectifications. Women - sex object, mother, carer, emotional supporter (find that one funny as I've always been the emotional support in every relationship xD), income provider, cook, love giver, teacher Men - sex object, father, defender/fighter, financial supporter (ironically my mother has always been this after my dad fucked his back up), provider, fixer, discipliner, teaching support (jk, still teacher) In both cases, most of it is the same, but as…

If you don't hear the men around you talking, let them know you're willing to listen. Most men talk, but in my experience, people rarely give them as much time to come forward with their problems. So if they seem down, don't ignore it, and if they say "it's nothing", gently pressure them. I've never had an issue getting other men to talk with 3 simple probes. "Hey dude, you alright? Ya seem down." If the response is don't worry about it, followed up with "You sure? I'm hear if you wanna talk." A…

As someone whose wife suffers with anxiety shiz. The holding one actually has a fine line, very fine line, between comfort and abuse. If you know the person well enough you will know if they should be held or just left alone. And what's worse is, a lot of the stuff you do to deal with people with severe anxiety borders very close to what is abusive. Most women won't go for that job just because of the general environment. And depending on the type of machinery some places will specify that they must have a short haircut. That doesn't mean a buzz cut, but nothing below the shoulder, or jawline etc. There's a lot of jobs that would specify that I need to tie it up or tie it back and place it inside overalls for safety. But the women would again have the same rules there for safety. Also, the question originally was do we have a problem with t…

Would I say the same thing? Yes. There have been films that I've thought a sex scene or a nude scene was completely pointless and wished it wasn't there. There's also been films where they've cut it and I've thought it would have actually been better for it. On both sides. On the point of the requirement. I had heard those comments, and honestly as a man with long hair, it's not much different than telling me I have to have my hair cut to work in a machine workshop in my opinion. There are other…

Honestly, no. 1 Hemsworth is hot. I'd love to have the motivation to get into better shape but that motivation is stuck on "average" xD 2 it's Thor. Even historically when he's depicted as being fat he was something to adore. 3 his character has made enough comments of his own to make it acceptable in my opinion. If Hemsworth wasn't up to it, it wouldn't be there. And quite frankly, if it's something that needs dealing with in society, it being done in the film helps that cause as it's then an e…

In my opinion, it has in the long run only done harm as it has completely undermined the judicial system. It has given those women with nefarious mindsets a weapon which they use. The initial point of it, to bring down a prolific abuser, sure, it was good. But it should have been laid to rest a long time ago.

I'm from the UK. In my opinion, abortion should not be illegal. There are many reasons for an abortion from teenagers being dumb to health problems. For example, my wife has a condition where the treatment makes it super dangerous to get pregnant again. If her implant failed. 1000% we would get an abortion.

I believe their problem was colour. We have a good spattering of sexuality and gender. But in a mostly white area of the country... You kinda can't make the last quota -.- We don't have enough employees for it to matter though if I remember rightly. Yay small ish company.

But, some of us want kids too? I'm really proud to be a father. Society hasn't programmed us to be providers, men naturally are. If it weren't for contraception, women wouldn't have the option of sex and a work career. The brain washing comes when men are still told they should pay for everything when the current system gives both parties equal opportunity for income. That is the problem. Men nor women are cattle to be used for babies. And it's not just one side that wants them or doesn't want t…

For flat earthers, unfortunately they are just not well rounded in the think pan. For religions. I don't see why they should all be shunned for the acts of the few. Especially when some people need religion to keep grounded, for example, I convinced my sister to find religion when she was going through a very dark spell of depression. She is now a pegan. We evolved a defense against dirt and infection on our reproductive organ. The only reason to remove it is it there is a problem that can only be resolved by removing it, e.g. an injection it injury of it. Just like tonsils, they shouldn't just be removed unless there's a reoccurring issue and bad issue with them. If he decides he wants to be Jewish when he's older and get circumcised, that's his choice, not mine. And that's also why all religious conversations have been "some people believe X, …

No, it's not a product of it. Some men do just hate women. Some women do just hate men. Good examples of this are inward homophobia, racism and religious in fighting. It's not caused by the other side. Some people just can't accept something different. And some people, very few, take it to the extreme. E.g, Hitler -anti-Semitism. It's a product of differing beliefs, and a density that contends with neutron stars...

Patriarchy in a literal sense to me is a society where rules are created and dictated entirely or almost entirely by men. This does not allow for people behind the scenes, Shadow rulers, family, influential associates etc. Because the moment influence can be exerted, it is ruled by whoever has influence. In the sense of "The Patriarchy". I think it's just a shift of blame from classism to sexism. It wasn't until the Great War that the vote was given to more than an elite few in the UK. And it wa…

I'm not moving the goal posts, I was asking a question. If misandry can not and has never caused violence of any sort towards men, no woman has ever been subject to violence due to misogyny. I will not dispute that many serial killers have stated that they hate women. It's one of the reasons those ones were caught. The fact that they targeted not just women, but generally a specific type. That usually looked in someway like another woman in their life. Inceldom maybe misogynist but it's born fro…

Erm... No? My original comment was has there been any murders any at all, that could have been prevented had it not been for the kill all men hashtag. I haven't moved the goal posts at all. What I'm doing is trying to understand your counter arguments which so far have been feminists have never done murder. Women don't do mass murder. Men do most of the killing. Incels just hate women. I said caused death, though now I'm curious as to if you just got your words mixed up, are trying to say misandry doesn't exist, or are saying feminism is misandrist? I really hope it's not the last two cause there are definitely people that hate men as a whole. And I like to believe that feminists on the whole have good intentions, even the ones that call people attending a talk on male suicide scum. Most people do not murder full stop. Most murderers killed "in the moment" too. I agree that there is no justification to actively murder anyone. Also aren't most ideological or political reasons derived from personal experiences? Some people over come them others don't, and if enough suffer the same hard ships they have a chance to form a group. Aka, the 'incel' is born. Wake us up from what? The notion there are bad people? Or the idea of questioning something? As someone who has suffered abuse at the hands of women and in some cases at the hands of men at the behest of women, I can say from personal experience that these questions aren't without reason. I don't think women are evil. Most people do bad things for good reasons. A very small percentage do bad things for personal reasons. I can't remember which serial killer it was that said it but there is a quote. "You only catch the bad killers" it's a very scary thought. Now women are smart. In some ways, much smarter than men. Social manipulation being the biggest one. Many men have done terrible things "in defence" of women. A small percentage of those were also due to lies. Ah, okay then shall we dispense with feminism as 90% of the arguments there are based on what happened 150 years ago? This agenda of "X people bad!" Rather than "what's triggering X people to be bad?" Is literally what's causing the problem. Especially when the people being claimed as terrorists are watching the other side get handed free passes. Obviously, not 100% free passes. But more lenient sentencing, public labelling with less serious crimes and deliberate omission of data such as this wh…

So are we to disregard the early activities of the extremists of the feminist movement? The ones that were performing arson attacks and the like? I'm not saying that there aren't extremists in the incel group. There are extremists in every group. Is that from that FBI report claiming MRAs were terrorists? -.- I'd never say people won't go too far on either side of the argument, but I think there's definitely a some research into the "kill all men" side to be done. For example, would the woman a couple years ago have killed her ex over child custody have committed murder had it not been for that? And did she take part in the hashtag? It's a bit of both. Clinical depression is something wrong with the brain, as little Hagrid (can't remember actual name) says in his Stanford university lectures on the matter, somebody who wakes up and just can't appreciate the sun rise. It's more of unintentional harm. You're more just trying to vent the frustration without destroying what's causing it. If it's an irrational fear, it's still 'okay', but why is there that fear? Lot of friends have terrible relationships? Again okay, fear by proxy. I've feared getting back on a motorbike for 6 years after losing my brother in a bike accident. I was the safer rider, so it's a little irrational. But it's by proxy and for me to work through. Creating …

Am currently trying to find the one my wife found last week. Unfortunately I dumbly don't save these things and then have to spend ages trying to find them again. Will update my comment as soon as I've found them. Unfortunately finding ones that show the accurate data and not the curated data that expunges all the dropped by male victim cases, which is most of them is annoyingly hard. However if was an ONS official from their site report.

My gran use to say it to everyone. Rest of my family do it to everyone traveling long distance. Everyone else I know bar my wife who says it to everyone traveling at night says it to women. Overall, yes, primarily women and children. Which is sad cause I'm always worried going to the shop at night to get some bread and milk or walking home from a night out. Cause the people who would mug me are desperate. More men do these late night runs though so we get the higher stats.... Yay winning? XD (jk…

This is the same in all situations. Suicide, attempted at equal rates, UK, stats 4:1 male to female deaths. Most common method, hanging on for both. Second most common, poisoning for both. DV happens at approximately equal rates, too. Based on ONS figures, but the home office uses convictions which then shows that women suffer DV at a rate of something like 9:1 against men. Actual stats are closer to 5.2:4.8 female to male. Sexual assault, happens at equal rates, but women have a special word fo…

Catcalled, if I have, I didn't know it was for me. Comments? Once in a bar. I was sat on a low stool in the top end of the bar (quiet end) and a girl tried flirting with me with the lines. "I think you're really handsome btw, like cute, like you look like Tyrion lannister..." Paused for a moment. "I don't mean to offend, I mean... I think he's hot." She blushed, I then thought it only proper to stand up as the stool made me about 4' tall... I'm 6'4" without shoes... She followed me up, and finis…

I was very lucky with my wife and she only advises me against certain topics with specific people that she doesn't want me to fall out with over a subject xD Mainly her cousin and women's rights. Otherwise she finds it funny listening to me go off on a rant ^ ^

My wife has been doing some research into suicides recently and honestly I think it's a lot worse than people realise. Lot of arguments I've seen in the last year put forward (though it's more of a "look we're the better victim" claim,) is that women attempt suicide more. My wife found that actually, attempts are pretty even split with it swaying by a few percent year by year one way or the other. That to me is much scarier the fact that in almost every country in the world, men die more often. …

Point out to her that at least in English history, in terms of marriage, a man literally had to treat his wife like a queen and if she wasn't satisfied she had the legal right to leave him. Sorry don't have any links for it but there's some good YouTube videos that break it down in depth. Also men were never "allowed" to sell their wives. And it was common when it did happen for women to refuse the would be purchaser and they'd "go back on the market" as for how marriage use to work, if a wife w…

Never forget, common doesn't mean 50% plus. Common side effects of drugs only have to be like 0.1% But this is common enough to say yeah, actual medical reason, you had to do it. Some women like it, most won't care. :) Just like having a finger amputated after it broke cause it was too dangerous to just fix it in place. Sometimes, it's just needed.

My wife has been doing some research as she intends adding her voice to the chaos around these subjects in favour of hearing men's plights. Here are something's she found a few days ago inline with suicides, something which is currently very close to our home as her brother committed suicide last year after years of abuse from his "girlfriend" (a story I intend to post here at some point when I have the time,) a close friend and the brother of another close friend also attempted suicide in the l…

I agree with you whole heartedly and try to temper a lot of arguments I put a comment in to the same regard. People need to not see the conflict happening as a war to pick sides over the little things. Stand behind the men wrongly convicted yes, help them. Help the men who are survivers of abuse, but also help them to see that not all women are evil. I had a woman accuse me of stuff, I felt shit for a while, but it was at her, not women. Be angry at the system, not the people inclined to abuse i…

As an explanation to the situation, think of how videogames have changed over the last 2 decades. They started really complex, full story great mechanics etc, unique in their own right. Since their inception, a minority of players have made it their point to complain about all the things that made them unique and challenging. And so, they were simplified, cause the majority liked what they had and just played. This continued in a cycle until they had to make a big change, all the while the major…

I think the term is a really old one and was probably more in line with any desire. Like a man among women when you're looking for a date is the thorn cause who's his partner? And reversed. Or in a MacDonalds burger, then damn pickles.... I can remember my gran using it to describe weeds that kept growing in here flower patch and once to my brother to describe a girl who cheated on him. [Edit] my gran truly was a saint. So wish life hadn't taken her last year...

I can't see a response from OP, so I really hope that this isn't your last words in this world. There are people out there that will hear you, people here that will hear and listen and try to help. Several others have suggested things to do but above all else, get out of that apartment, run to anyone or anywhere that she can't get to, and stay safe there. If it's your parents, tell them what state your mind is in and why. If needed, go to a crisis team and let everything out. They will get what'…

I want to down vote this for making me feel sad for my friend who didn't get to spend father's Day with his kids... Wife cheated on him now he pays her about a quarter of his wages, and this is just a slap in the face when he tries his hardest working any and every bit of overtime he can get now to do things for his kids when he gets to have them. :(

Luckily I live in the UK, usually the most extremist thing we see is a sternly worded letter while tutting over a cup of slightly darker tea... However looking around the world, there is more polarity occurring on both sides, whether it's Australia and blatant dissent with a nice touch of abuse from their daytime TV presenters to anyone that claims the feminist argument has holes to America where talks on male issues have protesters screaming rapists at anyone attending. But it's happening the o…

I'm referring to the growing number of extremist feminists. I'm not saying that all feminists are good or bad, I'm saying that overall, they'd probably say "should have been harsher" but at the same time in line other the comments, feminism as a whole has been twisted bad the worst, like the 2012 Warren talk on suicide that resulted in dozens of men going to understand a serious issue being told they should kill themselves. It's a minority group doing the abuse, but either feminists need to rebr…

But great science has come from philosophy. People musing "why the f* do we stick to the ground" coming up with crazy and whacky ideas eventually bore gravity as an example. It has also helped us understand many psychological things from religion to what is love. And helps to better handle many psychological traumas. However philosophy never stuck a man on the moon either soooo. XD [Edit] wrong word stuffs

I would say yes you're right here. I know several feminist friends that would say she deserves more time. But at the same time there are too many people that go against that definition. Just like nationalism was once patriotic, it is now more racist. The term should be dropped, left to the radicals and a new term created for those that actually see the issues and problems on both sides.

What he means is more along the line of what I have. I work, my wife does not. We have also chosen to homeschool cause we think the education system is flawed in almost every way. We have made a partnership and decided it as a couple. If my wife didn't have AS and could do the job she wanted she'd be on double my wage and I'd stay home and teach the kids. (She wanted to be a climbing instructor, sadly, currently struggles to stand up for more than 20 minutes at a time...) That said, you are righ…

I'd say no but... If there is any reason for them to be splitting up where he is as is usually the case, being made to pay her support for the child, he should immediately be offered one. It should be his choice to take the test not hers, and if the test is negative paternity, he should get the choice in whether to pay, how much to pay, and the option to stop paying. But along with this I also think that if parents split, and the father is paying support, he shouldn't have to keep paying support…

In the UK, it is legal to walk around in public completely nude, so long as, if asked to cover up you do. If you refuse and the police ask you and you again refuse, it is then considered exposure with intent to distress and you can be attested. Got curious a couple years ago and looked it up, genuinely expected it to just say 'indecent exposure illegal' but it actually isn't unless it's done with intent to distress i.e. flashers.
