While we obviously don't know the finer details OP didn't discuss in his post, this: Edit: Op has a post history asking about cocaine and alcohol... you know I'm starting to think there are some extremely important details you're leaving out... Is arguably the stupidest thing I've ever read. I don't normally check someone's post history, cause that's sad as hell, but this prompted me to go check. He enjoys whiskey and cocaine, but none of these suggest in any way that OP is addicted or has a pro…

Nah, the issue is the notion that women cannot perpetrate. When a man is accused of rape, the alleged victim gets some degree of sympathy (if a male victim, obviously a lower amount). Not so when a woman is alleged to be a perpetrator. Imo this comes from this idea that men are naturally inclined to criminal activity, here rape or sexual misconduct. And I believe this stems from this disgusting idea that male sexuality is inherently repulsive, in contrast to female sexuality, which is seen as mo…

You're right bro, because a couple people watched a rape video on pornhub (which, of course, is only used by men because women don't watch porn lol everybody knows this), this random dude who might not even use pornhub deserves to not get a high-paying job.

Honestly I'm seeing this in other areas too. There's this push to make men show their emotions and cry, and that's cool, absolutely wonderful. But what about the men who've been taught to, and have become used to, processing their emotions through silence and self-introspection? I'm one of those people, and I don't want to express my emotions constantly - that's just not me. I fear that this "masculine" method of processing emotion will become extremely vilified and its users marginalized. For s…

You make a fair point, but it's unfair to put the blame on those young men's ex-lovers. They need proper, psychological help, but I mean, if a young guy never had a good male role model, was never loved by his parents, and is constantly bullied, I think it's unfair to expect anyone to take on all that emotional baggage to their detriment. I mean, come on, if I'm dating a girl/guy who appears to be constantly bipolar and aggressive, I'm dropping them quick. Whatever they do afterward isn't necess…

"Happy IMD to everyone we agree with!" Lmao. Are men worth nothing more than their allyship and support for their cause? Would it hurt them to celebrate men, in general? Of course, I get that they're called UN Women but a simple "Happy IMD to all men" would have sufficed, and it wouldn't really detract from their purpose anyway. Just disappointing.

It's been a very very long time haha I remember reading the discussions on this sub when the allegations first came out, long before the court case began

Signed this around two years ago haha, it had barely any signatures then. Time really flies, glad to see this getting traction!

Yeah I completely agree with you on the first part! As for the second, it's not really my place to contest your beliefs, is it? I do disagree with you on it, I don't think it's an obligation but rather something useful for public discourse. But, I can live with finding some measure of common ground haha, and thanks for the conversation, you've really made me think!

I do feel like any potential critiques I have could be taken wrongly? Well, as long as you're respectful, and your critiques make sense, there shouldn't be a problem. Obviously, people get angry, and they downvote, but if what you said makes sense, you've added to the discourse, maybe gotten at least a few people thinking? people in privileged groups (me being someone who presents female/other women in general) would have the obligation to shut up and listen to a degree, no? I feel like "obligat…

Somewhat, yes, but most people here don't really care about who you are as long as you make good, logical points. I will concede that since you can't understand what it's like completely, your arguments may not have as much emotion/passion as people who can. But we're still subject to criticism from you regardless, we can't say "oh you're just an ally, you can't really understand." I don't think that's what we're about here

While it is true that it's impossible to fully understand something if you haven't experienced it, I think the word "ally" needlessly maligns and excludes people who aren't cis men from the movement, like your opinions on topics don't matter or that you don't truly have a hand in furthering the movement's goals. Also, "ally" is an oft-repeated feminist word, so I guess people are just naturally averse to that.

"being obsessed with us." This is insane. Everything is about them. A man has to act in a way that benefits her, because SHE is more important than his self-worth and self-respect. Disgusting.

The eighth one is just straight up incorrect? It makes no sense that a minor, who cannot legally consent, recieves a blowjob from an adult, and that is not considered statutory rape, at the very least.

Because if we let rapists (specifically people who forced others to penetrate) get off scot free, they might rape another person again. And if that person faces unimaginable emotional torture, all that pain was avoidable, but occurred simply because someone said "it's not the same for men as it is for women."

Why did they oppose gender neutral child sexual abuse laws?? These people disgust me, there is absolutely NO logical reason to be opposing gender neutral rape law.

I accept that, but when you say "it was a legitimate practice" it's safe to assume you mean a legitimate practice everywhere, when clearly in more cold climates it was not.

I'm not outraged in any way, nor am I looking for a "platform from which to virtue signal." I simply try to understand different points of view, even if I don't necessarily agree with them. I asked you for your rationale behind the statement simply because I wanted to know. Stop reading into my words too much.

Why do you think people with anorexia are "complete fucking retards"? I'm curious about your reasoning behind the statement.
/r/MensRights28/11/19 06:54 AM

Right, but men still do get anorexia, don't they? Your argument doesn't make sense: we're talking about people not thinking men can be anorexic at all, not about which gender experiences higher rates of it. Don't get too carried away with your outrage, either.

Not necessarily. For example, Hindu texts would not mention MGM, for the simple fact that it does not occur in India at all. While the texts might be evil, in this case, they certainly aren't because MGM is not condemned.

Conscription isn't "mandatory" in the US either. There hasn't been a forced draft since Vietnam in the 1970s. There probably won't be again, but if war comes, the draft will be enforced unless you are a conscientious objector to war.

Maybe, before commenting on something, you should read the post. He asked for confirmation for point 2. I STATED point 2, and then gave him a source for that. I did not think about whether the article was "bullshit" and that "there is no way in hell" such could occur. I did not even state the facts detailed within the article, I decided to let him do so. Maybe understand the discussion at hand, after reading the post, before commenting aggressively on something.

30% of young American women believe that a male co-worker asking them to go out for drinks qualifies as sexual harassment. https://www.dailywire.com/news/23852/study-lot-young-people-think-compliments-drink-amanda-prestigiacomo

Oh no, feminists want such: Feminists have argued that military conscription is sexist because wars serve the interests of the patriarchy, the military is a sexist institution, conscripts are therefore indoctrinated in sexism, and conscription of men normalizes violence by men as socially acceptable The patriarchy, gentlemen! Men killing other men and dying on the battlefield for no fault of theirs panders to the patriarchy!

1 in every 10 rape victims are male. Some estimates say that 1 in every 6 men have been raped. This is of course, not taking into account the fact that men are less likely to tell someone that they have been raped.

In addition, you have just quoted a random jumble of facts and statistics. No matter if they do not apply in this situation. you just wanted to show off your knowledge, yeah?
