No, a lot of people here, myself included, have tried to explain what Seddit is about. Have you tried explaining to a devout Christian what atheism is about? Or vice-versa? It's the same thing. Look at it this way: your son will now yearn for his kids to grow up and live in a 'stable' family home, thus being more selective with who he breeds with. Should you have stayed, you may have built up a negative image around a married family due to the discrepancies between you and your ex, thus conditioning him to 'fear' a 'stable' home.
