I don't get why everyone is so offended by this. Just because she says 'as a woman' doesn't mean she devalues anything that men go through. It is impossible to infer from this quote what she thinks about men's struggles.

It sucks that good, loving fathers have to go through this. My old boss is in a similar situation, currently living away from his kids because the mother has full custody and she threatened to say he abused the kids. I've never been in your situation so I don't have any really tangible advice for you, but just wanted to say you have my sympathy, and that I hope it gets better.

I rarely agree with Ford and generally agree she is a man-hater, but I don't really have any sympathy for this guy. It's OK to not agree with her, but no need to call her a slut. Play the ball not the (wo)man.

You make it sound like there's no middle ground between skinny bikini body (and she is skinny, you can see her rib cage) and obese. The point the complaints were making was that women of normal-shape (or anything in between skinny and obese) feel like they don't have a 'beach body' unless they are skinny, which can be potentially damaging in terms of body image.

I don't think this has anything to do with men vs women, because in Australia we get similar coverage for men vs men street fights. What people are missing here is the seriousness of a potential head injury. There are many ways to hold down a 60kg woman without giving her a head injury. His mate wasn't helping him at all, neither were the guys filming.

This isn't my experience, but I can't really argue with you because I don't know the women you hang out with and are in contact with day to day. If they are like this, cut 'em loose, they're not worth your time.
