| 1 | About 2.5 million temporary restraining orders/ orders of protection/stay away orders issued annually in USA. Men are more likely to be the spouse who has an order enforced against them. The order forces man to leave the marital residence. Now it is easier to separate him from his kids and stuff.In domestic abuse cases men are more often the assailant and therefore the restraining orders can be for the benefit of the children.
