The fact that less women are oriented to politics than men is the result of a deeper cultural issue, not just misrepresentation. I have seen a lot of so called "feminists" (as all critics of the movement) ignoring that fact, focusing on some apparent "unjustice" of the results, and trying to force more women in some field. If women weren't allowed to use twitter, misantropy wouldn't be that common. And internalized misogyny is a thing in highly repressive environments. I'm aware that vocal minorities are minorities, but just because neofascists are a minority doesn't mean we should condone their vocal hatred, because that message can seed intolerant thoughts in less radical people anyway. Yes, it is more common than ever since thanks to feminism women are freer now, and a percentage of them grew resentful of patriarchy, given birth to a wave of misandry.
