Another tip that is similar: it's better to hype yourself up than to try and calm down. If you can get to a bathroom stall and get yourself pumped and excited, your mind will perform better than if it is fighting against nervousness, which you should look at as an invitation to get shit poppin

often, the being entertaining and charming is a way to keep them away. When anyone shows interest in the past, I have panicked and began distancing myself. I tell myself it's because I am not into them, but I can't deny that I do try and put up the barriers. I also feel guilty about hitting on people, like it's crude or bothersome.

Am I the only one who thought his attempts were sort of forced, and poorly executed? At best, they were sort of sad, at worst, just sort of creepy. I always defended seddit when people said they are crazy, but this isn't really a good case for it. Besides, they are drunk girls at mardi gra. 'Nuff said. Not that I'm some expert, just my opinion.

I forget which post it was (a while ago), but it was essentially all these different techniques involving things like placement at the table, certain words never to say, and how to effectively use your friends and the people around you to your advantage in making her want you. I am sorry I don't have specifics, it was a while ago, but all I remember is rolling my eyes.

Certainly it is great for giving confidence to guys, and also a sense of self-worth. Both worthy things. I'm not saying it isn't legitimate, because those theories contain lots of accurate insights about modern human interaction. But not all. And sometimes I feel like those kind of books are steering us away from meaningful interaction because "Oh, well it's just a game. Better study up on some strategies!" mindset.

That is a good point. But one has to admit there is more than that, if the endless posts about negging and other like strategies are far from 'being more yourself'. Those seem like deliberate attempts to manipulate, or at least treating women like some sort of object or commodity which needs to be cured or tempered before purchase. What do you say about that kind of content on this subreddit? Certainly you can't say it doesn't exist.
