I'm just glad that violence isn't in the form of bullets flying at me.

You're going off base. My point is, if someone had a knife pointing at your stomach, you wouldn't even think to pull out whatever gun you have, because you'd immediately lose your life. You'd empty the contents of your wallet and hope he/she doesn't kill you anyway. A knife at that distance is far more lethal. Are you gonna pull a gun on a random person just because they're walking suspiciously?

You don't need to live in an ideal world to not need a gun to walk home. I walk home all the time. And theres plenty of problems where I live.

That shouldn't be her job. She shouldn't need those skills or those devices to fucking walk home. How disenfranchised with the rest of the world are you yanks that you can't see that guns are a bad thing?

See, that's the problem with your hypothetical. Where the fuck am I if not front of someone when I'm mugging them? Am I shouting at them from my apartment window while they aim at me with their Browning .50cal?

I'd be wondering why I didn't stab them immediately once I saw them reach for something. If they managed to do it without me seeing, while they're infront of me? I'm a shitty mugger.

Calm down and use your words to form an argument rather than angrily type at me.

You're right, in a perfect world, gangs and disenfranchised men would stop commiting crime and doing drugs. Legal guns don't help, and only serve to put guns into the hands of criminals and mentally unhinged people. Knives have plenty of applications outside of killing. I mean, you butter your toast with a knife all the time.

A gun doesn't help anyone. They should be avoided at all costs. Your police force can help, but yours is pretty shit, if everything I've heard about them is true. Honestly? I've never been mugged so I don't know what you'd do in that situation. But thinking a gun will save you is stupid.

A guns sole purpose is to kill. Which 'side' the gun is on doesn't matter. But you're right, culture does need to change.

But I'm not talking about robbers? I'm not talking about guns. I am talking the physical differences between men and women and how women are inclined to be more afraid of an altercation. Stop putting words in my mouth and try and make a solid argument.

That's true, but I don't believe I inferred that. I said a man would have a better time against another man, because they are a man (read: generally bigger and stronger).

I mean, it's pretty safe over here, and I live in a fairly rough neighbourhood. Never been attacked or mugged or shot at.

One can also be used to murder people at an alarming rate, under the guise of "protection". The other should be the governments responsibility, so yeah, under your current gov? Nonexistant.

AS IF A GUN WILL HELP. Is that better? :^)
/r/PussyPassDenied08/08/19 11:02 AM

What? I didn't say anything about a gun. I said women, generally, are more likely to be seriously hurt if attacked by a man. Not a man with a gun, I would have specified; I said just a man.

Men are also a whole lot bigger and stronger and more capable of defending themselves. Women are generally weaker and smaller. They do have genuine concern to be afraid. That's not bs.

Concealed carry is the most American thing I've ever seen suggested. As if a gun will help, rather than safer streets.

You're arguing semantics. Japan's is 13, Phillipines is 12 and Nigerias is 11. Is an 11-13yr olds brain developed enough to reasonably give consent? Probably not.

These are people that are sick enough to commit ephebophilia and you don't think you were deceived in even the slightest way? And at 18, you're already old enough (In most places of the world) to give consent, so this doesn't apply. But a 16-17yr old still has some development to go, and is still unable to fully give consent. Whether or not you had a good time, however, is invalid. That was never my point. It was that the fascination with wanting a fully grown adult to have sex with an adolescen…

Age of Consent isn't puberty. It's the age at which we believe the person mentally capable enough to give consent. Please stop.

That's a hilarious double standard right there. "If she's hot, then she can force herself upon me"

You asked for how many Chinese were killed by their own regime. I think 18m - 56m approx. people dead is quite a few more. And that's only one incident.

Dude, do you think legislators just threw a dart at a number line and said 'Yup, that's now the lawful consent age.'? This isn't about a law term, this is literal biology. I'm not even talking about actual rape, because that can't even happen to a child (My mistake, it can. Statutory Rape is non-forced); Again, a child genuinely cannot consent. I also never said rape is the same as statutory rape; Nor did I ever say that a rape victim is always traumatised. I said that sex between a consenting a…

Yes they are, until they reach the Age of Consent. They arguably are even after that; I'm early to mid 20s and only now do I begin to feel like I know what I want.

15-16yr olds are naïve as fuck. I guarantee you absolutely didn't know what you wanted. You may have known what sex was, but you wouldn't have been able to discern what you wanted from sex. You don't have the mental capacity. This isn't me on a high horse either, this is every person ever. There's a reason it's called 'Age of Consent'.
/r/PussyPassDenied23/05/19 06:47 PM

Why do you think it's called statutory rape? You literally cannot consent to it, because you are a child.

r/ihavesex No matter how much you think you'd have wanted it, you wouldn't have. It was rape. That, by definition, means you wouldn't have wanted it. Male sexual assault is still considered a joke by a good chunk of the world and you are doing it an extreme disservice by spouting such shit.
