honestly its a natural progression thing. if you want a deeper connection with someone its something that just has to happen by itself. think about the relationships with your friends and how over time it slowly gets more meaning full. I don't believe their is a quick fix to a relationships connection. deep and meaning full conversations are another matter tho

start by just talking more to random people who you honestly dont care about, people in petrol stations are great for this there usually so board they will initiate the conversation for you. Seriously tho, just little steps to begin with, and most importantly have a mantra for example say "fuck it" before initiating a conversation because fuck it what do you have to loose I apologize for grammar and spelling mistakes.
