I was cleaning up and the bitch said to meSure, the *anger* is justified, but not the names & yelling. I like the submariner advice. Run silent till you launch your nukes. Three lawyers have told me that being reasonable, calm, and collected is one of the best ways to improve your position in court. The more you lose your temper the worse it'll go for you. | /r/Divorce_Men | 09/11/21 08:06 PM
I was cleaning up and the bitch said to meIf those are the words you yelled at her (and I'm assuming you yelled based on the all-caps) then you're not peaceful. You're just not. Do better. It's the right thing to do, and it will help you get the upper hand in the divorce. | /r/Divorce_Men | 09/11/21 07:49 PM
| -2 | I was cleaning up and the bitch said to meThe both of you sound angry and abusive. Get some help for your own anger. Name calling like you described is never justified. You're settling a terrible example for the kid. | /r/Divorce_Men | 09/11/21 06:17 PM |
What are ways you stay connected to your kid(s) when they're not with you?My kid (9F) has a phone and we use text messages. The phone is locked by Verizon so she can only get messages from approved numbers. I don't write every day but I do send her cute cat pics or pics of our puppy. Her mom texts multiple times every day with questions checking in on how I'm doing as a parent.. eg "did you have a shower today? What did you do after school? What did you have for dinner?" She also wants to have a video call most nights at bedtime when the kid is supposed to be brushing… | /r/Divorce_Men | 05/11/21 07:12 PM
Is this a trait of a narcissist or maybe borderline personality disorder?Yup, so much this. I did most of the cooking and all the dishwashing. If I wanted to slack off for a night or two and not cook she'd criticize me for ordering unhealthy takeout food. If I did cook she'd say I was using cooking and dishwashing as a way to zone out and not be present to the family. Once early in the pandemic I used some carrots to make a vegetable stock. She hit the roof because we couldn't be sure we'd be able to buy fresh carrots anymore. She was angry for a week on that one. | /r/Divorce_Men | 30/10/21 11:35 PM
Meal TipsWebsites: NY Times Cooking is very good if you subscribe. America's Test Kitchen recipes are always good but always labor intensive. thekitchn.com has great easy recipes for everything. Very reliable. A lot of times the recipes that come up on a Google search totally suck. Be careful. | /r/Divorce_Men | 29/10/21 09:16 PM
Meal TipsI cook a giant pot of pasta e fagioli and then freeze about 2/3 of it in Ziplocs. A half-full quart-size Ziploc feeds 2 people. Thaw in the microwave. Put on a pot of boiling water for pasta. While that water is coming to a boil, cook some broccoli in the microwave -- just put broccoli with a little water in a covered bowl and nuke for about 5 minutes. Cook the pasta, spoon hot fagioli over it, put broccoli on top. Dress with a little extra virgin olive oil, Maldon sea salt, and grated Parmesan … | /r/Divorce_Men | 29/10/21 09:08 PM
Did you get yourself a "Divorce Present"?That's my plan too, after STBX buys out my share of the equity in the marital home. In the meantime I racked up a bunch of CC debt on a new bike, a puppy, and a sim racing rig. Who gives a shit, money is just a number. And the house equity will wipe all of that away, then I can drive away in a really fucking nice truck. | /r/Divorce_Men | 28/10/21 02:02 PM
Luchador MaskMore power to you for being you! That feeling of liberation is so powerful. Since I left my wife I'm free to watch baseball, or an F1 race, or play a video game, or leave the lights off while the sun goes down just because the evening light is fucking beautiful and no, it doesn't cause depression (in her house she runs all the lights all day and all night long because of a study on seasonal affective disorder that she misinterpreted). I'll leave you with a great old song, "Almost Cut My Hair" by… | /r/Divorce_Men | 27/10/21 07:48 PM
Parent's Rights Class Action LawsuitWhat you quote here is obviously not written by a lawyer or even anyone remotely familiar with the legal system. It 100% has Red Flag Scam warnings all over it. The site isn't secured properly, the grammar is terrible, there are obvious sucker bait signs like "Communications Army! SIGN UP HERE!" | /r/Divorce_Men | 20/10/21 05:58 PM
