You had a bad relationship that you should have ended years earlier. We all get attached and see our partners through rose colored glasses when we aren’t emotionally mature enough to enforce boundaries and make people treat us the way we deserve (or remove them from our lives). You were a terrible match with your ex and your relationship was quite bad. You wasted some time and learned some deeply important lessons about yourself and what you need from a relationship, but thank goodness that you …

You aren’t ugly and chin surgery likely isn’t going to significantly alter your looks, but if you feel like it’s important to you go for it. Women are just people and above all they want their partner to be a good personality match. Instead of trying to drastically alter your face and personality to match random women’s tastes I would focus on finding the (smaller, given your diagnosis) percentage of women who will be a good personality match for you. If you’ve seen love on the spectrum you’ll r…

He’s probably lying about his votes to make them sound better to you (even as bad as they already are), he demeans your intelligence and education, and he doesn’t care about your rights as a human being. What exactly is he bringing to the table that makes this relationship worthwhile? You should have broken up with him the first time any of these enormous red flags hit.

Some women enjoy casual sex because it fills a need while they are looking for their more permanent partner (so they don’t settle for someone crappy just because they are horny). Women are just people, and casual sex can be very good and enjoyable for some people. If that scares you then maybe you choose someone who hasn’t had much casual sex, but I personally wouldn’t recommend it because relationships and sex are both learned skills.

I'm sorry for your current pain, but congratulations on being rid of this absolute fucking loser. Move on quickly with emotionally mature men that wouldn't abuse you about your SA and don't let him talk you into a relationship again if/when he comes crawling back. Congrats on getting out, it isn't easy. Dating/procreation is literally designed for there to be no easy answers (unless you're genghis khan and own the greatest era-corrected fighting force in history) so every interaction is completely different.

Women generally want guys that will treat them well (so not “bad boys”) but who also aren’t pushovers. This depends on having healthy boundaries and recognizing when people are taking advantage of you (which is very hard, especially if you have autism). My most important advice would be to find a woman who is as excited to be with you as you are to be with her, and that is rare enough that it takes meeting as many attractive people with similar interests as you can and essentially immediately el…

I think you’re conflating perceived lack of value with lack of salary. If money is the primary thing that a man brings to the table of course he would lose esteem if he lost that. This is why it’s important to bring other things to the table and not make it solely about money (this also insulates the man against their wife meeting a man who makes more money and immediately leaving their husband). I suspect that we come from different fields because I work with a lot of very talented men that don…

This is such a scared response. If good sex in your household primarily depends on how much financial support you are providing your wife you (and her) probably suck at sex. Also, in my experience red pill women are by far the worst in bed.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/12/24 09:06 PM

Women and non-white men largely didn't have anywhere near the educational and job opportunities that white men had for the last few hundred years. That means that lazy and stupid white men had far better chances of getting good jobs than they do now. It's hard for me to know how to explain it to you more clearly than that, but please let me know where you I lost you.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/12/24 08:52 PM

The thing you somehow missed in your prompt is that men aren't educating themselves for high paying jobs anymore, so why would women that have educated themselves want to bother with them? Lazy and stupid men have had it very easy for hundreds of years because they didn't have to compete with women (or really any other races) in the workforce. Now that they do have to compete that approaching equality feels like it's unfair. Men can either adapt to the new situation or keep clinging to people wh…

The post is about men that throw away aging partners so that they can go date children and justify it by saying that their older partners were old and bitter. Your anecdotal claim (based entirely on your reading of your own situation) was that you cherished your wife as she aged but she grew unhappy with you and developed a wandering eye for a wealthier man. You can see how your situation isn't really related to this post, right? OP wasn't necessarily claiming that all women who age with their p…

Yeah, that sucks, but you're clearly carrying a lot of issues into a post about immature older men dating younger women which doesn't really have anything to do with your situation. It also sounds like your ex did you a favor if she was that fickle and shortsighted.

Wouldn't your cherishing her have generally stopped her from looking for "a better deal" elsewhere? If she wasn't happy she wasn't happy, not much you could have done about it either way, people grow apart. Also nobody said that "it's always the man's fault" anywhere in this post

A certain percentage of men think that women's biological clock is their only hope at tricking a woman into marrying them. Desperately hoping that older women are miserable makes them feel like they'll have a better chance at a younger woman who is afraid of eventually being lonely. It’s also why they never stop taking about it.

It sounds like he needs a friend more than a partner right now (I tend to believe that people should be at a baseline level of being able to take care of themselves before getting into a relationship), and you need to date some other people to help get over those feelings. If you only want other brilliant autistic people put that on dating profiles, or use one of the new autistic dating sites (Hiki, Uneepi). If you actively date around for a while and search for the right people for you without …

Give yourself a break, everyone does dumb shit at your age and your brain isn't even mostly baked until you are about 25. Apologize to the people that you hurt (you can be vague for some of the apologies - "sorry i was an asshole, i was going through some shit.") and tell your friend that you lied about his girl. It's going to mean losing some of the people in your life now but it will also likely mean that you are a better person down the road. Get some therapy if you can. There's a lot of stuf…

I think the main thing that you have to do is recognize that you are rationalizing and supporting largely flawed and cherrypicked statistics with personal anecdotes. If you are going to choose specific instances from your own life (while ignoring many others) and say that they back up a hateful and short-signed philosophy then you are never going to find the actual truths of the matter, never mind what is most important to you. We can't talk you out of illogical beliefs if you continue to cling …

It's never wrong to not be attracted to someone for any reason, nobody gets to choose who they are attracted to. Outside of the fact that there are like 10 red flags already in what you said about him you are turned off by his experience. Move on and find someone who attracts you since you've just learned that body counts in the 200s turn you off. Edit: Just recognize that it’s very easy to lie about your body count, so don’t use it as your primary sorting mechanism.

Only a ridiculously tiny minority of women write to serial killers, and the vast majority of them know that they aren't going to actually do anything with them (writing to a gay serial killer being a perfect example). It's a way for a very small number of insecure or fetishizing women to harmlessly flirt with the danger that they feel in one way or another every day of their lives, and so isn't really applicable to women in general. If you think that men act like assholes because women incentivi…

Abusive partners tend to not be abusive up front and slowly trap their partners before their true side comes out. Arguing that women should preferentially get in relationships with nerdy and timid men is telling people who they should be attracted to, and nobody chooses who they are attracted to. Smart men who aren’t timid tend to do very well with women, even if they are nerdy. The opposite of this is saying that men should know better not to date hot but unstable women, which often takes a lit…

Only desperately insecure men want to seriously date women on their early 20s when they are older. Women in their 30s reach their sexual prime and have the maturity and life experience to have far better relationships than women in their early 20s. The quantity of male attention may go down slightly (but probably not), but the quality of attention will be much, much higher, so just keep working on and enjoying yourself.

More doesn’t mean all, and I’m going to need some research to back up these broad assumptions if you want me to believe that it isn’t just coming from general misogyny and self pity. It’s a big difference to say that a male six dates female fours rather than imply that sixty percent of men don’t get any women at all and female ones and zeros are still having all of the sex that they want.

The answer to this problem isn't that you have to keep spamming random girls, it's that you need to know more girls. Joining clubs, outdoor groups, teams, museums, dance clubs, etc are the best ways to meet women and women friends tend to know best who you might get along with. There are a ton of lonely women out there (especially in cities) and your chances will only drastically improve the more of them you know.

You don't have to look hard, here's one from 1994 with both sides of heterosexual couples agreeing that men have more power and have a better deal in relationships. If women have less power in relationships men have freer rein to control and manipulate them, pretty simple. https://link.springer.com/article/10.1007/BF01544589

Source needed. Power imbalances have always existed, especially between men and women, so claiming that those imbalances weren't exploited for gain in relationships is unlikely to be true.

There are far more desperate men on Reddit, though, and they seem to have had similar experiences hence the influx of RP users. You've stumbled into the actual crux of the problem with this sub. An upvote/downvote system in a debate doesn't work when one side has 10x the number as the other and votes largely on emotion. Reddit is chock full of lonely and angry young men who have no idea how to interact positively with women, so easy answers (especially those putting the blame mostly on women) ar…

The divorce rate for people that get together before the age of 25 is enormously high. What your metaphor doesn't consider is that the houses can't decide that you are the one that actually sucks and go find a better owner. This process in relationships tends towards people finding better matches as they get older and know themselves better along with what they want in relationships.

Recognizing that they are doing you a favor in the long run. Believe me when I say that finding out that someone either isn't into you enough, or is selfish/afraid of conflict enough to do something like that early is far, far better than finding out years down the road when you are more attached and have mixed your life up with her. Unique is not the wording that I responded to (not normal and weird), both of which carry significant negative connotations. Unique feels both patronizing and largely incorrect, given the huge overlap in types of kink among kinky people (who, again, number somewhere in the range of 40-50% of the population). Missionary sex is wonderful to me, but I do prefer having the possibility of different dishes from time to time. The fact that there are generally more openly kinky men than there are women …

I've never said that people should make their partner feel boring for not indulging in their kinks, I think you are bringing personal feelings and insecurities into this conversation again. It seems like you are focusing on a relatively small portion of unethically kinky relationships in which a man forces a woman to do dangerous th…

Some of the most passionate sex that i've had has been plain, meat and potatoes, missionary-style. I think if you looked into the kink community you would largely find that it is women-dominated, in what seems like a result of the higher number of men with open kinks leading to a comparatively large amount of power for the smaller number of women who are into it (at least openly). Consent is a concern for any type of sexual activity, regardless of whether it is kinky or not (and i would have to …

The words "weird" and "not normal" to describe ~45% of the population enjoying something that you clearly don't understand is absolutely smug and close-minded, yes. This study found that something as fundamental as sexual orientation changed significantly in early adulthood for many people, so i think it's silly to think that the other parts of the sexual spectrum also don't change as people understand their bodies and tastes more. I would also hesitate to rely on personal anecdotes for your cla…

I'm certainly kinky, and if you just blithely say that all kink is sex then yes, of course sex is sex is sex, but you can't say that 45% of the country is abnormal, weird, or "unique," and then just lump them in with the other ~50% that aren't kinky (or asexual). Experimental and kinky sex is an enormously complex spectrum of physical and mental practices that people tend not to grow out of in the fantasy realm, even if they tend not to practice it every time that they are sexual with their part…

Ok, I didn’t say anything about that, and as glad as I am that you and other vanilla people enjoy your own sex lives I’d still prefer that you don’t describe non-vanilla people and sexual desires as weird or just people that like checking things off of a bucket list. So here's an actual study that finds ~45% of the population as being kinky, in some way. It's wonderful that there are plenty of vanilla people that are perfectly happy with their sex lives, but I'd ask that you don't judge the people who clearly aren't like you that enjoy experimenting with kinks, etc, and en…

If you're vanilla that's great, vanilla sex is wonderful and absolutely enough for many people. A massive percentage of the population is not vanilla, though (likely on the 30-50% scale), so dismissively categorizing all non-vanilla sex as abnormal and saying that sex is sex completely ignores the experiences of a huge number of the dating population. https://reason.com/2014/11/11/kinky-sex-survey-finds-everybodys-weird/

If you aren't bad looking and you live in a city as an engineer your dating pool will expand dramatically after you graduate. No, I've grown through my relationships and learned about what makes a good match for me and what I need out of a LTR. Sexual compatibility is also critical for me, so I would recommend having sex at some point before you are completely attached to the first person that you want to have a serious relationship with. Virginity isn't important, the first time you have sex will feel special but after a few times you'll realize that it wasn't that big of a deal.

I think a better metaphor in this instance would be if Candidate A had never had a job before and Candidate B had a long string of jobs with glowing references.

Your examples are all college boys, most of whom have likely spent their entire lives being steeped in the culture of slut-shaming sex-positive women, and boys also care far more about the opinions of their peers than adults. From my experience adult men care less and less about something as (IMO) insignificant as an N-count or what their friends think and focus far more on the woman herself.

Every incel's father somehow managed to reproduce, I'd have to bet that with most incels it largely comes down to their choosing not to have sex with the women that would like them. There are a shitload of lonely women out there.

Then take it up with OP, it's his (red pill) question and premise. If trp behavior was 'effective and better morally' it should absolutely be used, and if you've somehow managed to convince yourself of that then more power to you.

If you're just talking about more pliant women then you've already proven my point. What thread do you think you are in? OP's question was asking why unethical and abusive behavior shouldn't be used if it works in the context of red pill tactics. My response was that it works for short-term gain with damaged, stupid, or insecure women, and you've attempted to argue that you've gotten better women after (presumably) unethically abusing them. You've further seemed to conflate OP's question about a…

Then I think we'll just have to agree to disagree, because there's no way that I can agree that abusing women and then seeing which ones stick around is the best way to select the more intelligent and self-assured ones.

It seems like you're defining "better women" as "women that want to date you," which is the exact opposite of what we're saying if those women are reacting to manipulation and abuse by wanting to spend more time with you.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/06/16 10:22 AM

Yeah, we're saying that the women that fall for red pill tactics aren't the kinds of people that we would want to be in relationships with.

It's over simplistic thinking like that that keeps you from meeting decent women. People aren't race cars, with literally one dimension of attractiveness and competition between them, there are huge numbers of dimensions that people can find attractive and compelling about each other. The people who are happiest in their relationships are those that both believe that they are lucky to have found the other person, and that doesn't come from sitting around and trying to force shitty relationships …

I would advise them to look/wait for the women who don't exclusively look for abusive assholes, because there are plenty out there. If a woman doesn't want to be with him because he's a nice person it's a huge win for him because relationships don't tend to improve from that point (assuming lack of sexual attraction is the reason).

Purely from a self-interest perspective I think of it as short-term vs. long-term goals. To me, any woman that responds to abuse with a desire to sleep with me is someone that likely isn't worth spending significant time with going forward. If my end goal is to sleep with as many stupid/insecure/damaged women as I can (once each), then yours would seem like a fine strategy, assuming that what you are saying about abuse is correct. If, on the other hand, my goal is to find a partner that I get al…

So you're just going to ignore the study that said that they put in at least 2-3 hours per workday at home, and the study that found that elementary teachers should be paid far more if we accurately take their long-term impact into account. Of course I'm ok with all of that, it was part of my original point that DNA testing is a boon to men today and that it largely takes away all of the risk of duped paternity.

Yeah, that makes more sense, it seems like that british study was far less biased because it was looking at all children in child support, as opposed to people who actively believe that paternity is wrong, but it's probably even then biased towards the higher end because, presumably, couplings that result in child support are a little less stable than those in monogomous relationships and marriages, so I'd probably wager that the real number is even lower than 1 in 500.

Having a husband fail to get and pay for a paternity test if he believes that the child is not his and then having him pay child support for that kid is dumb on his part, but to me it is a much lesser risk and evil than not having enough people take care of the child, which I would argue is a far far larger problem today if you look at single-parent (usually mother) households and the lengths some men will go to to avoid paying child support. http://abc7.com/family/man-uses-lookalike-to-fake-his…

The British study that had a much larger scale and a less-biased study population (all children that were getting child-support) found about 1 in 500, which might still be on the high end because these are likely children from acrimonious divorces or breakups (or unmarried), when I would think that people in more stable and still-married relationships would be far less likely to be duped. I'm fine agreeing that there is no solid evidence in either direction on pre-marital promiscuity and infidel…

We have no idea what "evolutionary unfit" means from day to day. Evolution might end up meaning that all the dumbest (or less evolutionarily-fit by today's standards, IMO) people don't get depressed at the meaningless nature of everyday life and their kids grow up happy to have lots of grandchildren, or perhaps a new plague comes along and wipes out everyone with a BMI below 45 or that doesn't have red hair. I would agree that biological attraction rules likely change more slowly than our societ…

0-2% doesn't mean 1 in 50 at best, it means 1 in 50 at worst. It sounded like those studies were biased by those people that asked for paternity tests, meaning that they should be on the higher end, and that other british study found 1 in 500, which I think is probably closer to the truth for not ridiculously horrible relationships

It's a biological difference, not "bias." As men it makes no sense to get jealous of breasts and the ability to conceive, it's not "devalued" because it had no value in the first place, it's just a biological difference. I said that it doesn't matter to the state because biological parentage really does matter (to anyone besides the parents themselves), or adoption would be either unheard-of or massively regulated. Your arguments make no sense because it's not a large problem in the first place …

Some inequality happens naturally and other inequality is caused by our own stupidity or selfishness. I personally don't like inequality when it significantly hinders one segment of the population without any simple way to fix it, and I don't think that having definitive biological fatherhood is a large problem in the first place, and if it was we now have the technology to quickly and easily fix it if any individual man feels very bothered by it. edit: Sorry, responded to your original message …

Biological motherhood is easy to determine because of how babies are born, biological fatherhood is only something that we've been able to definitively know for ~30 years, we don't have to qualify biological motherhood because it's usually pretty apparent who the mother is, outside of neonatal ward errors. The primary goal of the state is to see that the child is taken care of (because the state has no inherent interest in who inherits what, or which parents take care of which genetic children).…

No, not really. Frankly, I don't want to pay extra taxes so that the government can catch (for some reason...) the very small number of duped pregnancies in which the father was too stupid or lazy to get his own test. I can't imagine why the state would find it important to know exactly who fathered a child, as long as that child is adequately being taken care of.

I don't personally agree with banning them, and I also don't think that the ban in France has that large of an effect, since even the paternity testing wikipedia article says that Spain has a huge testing presence in the regions that border France due to the law. I don't live in France, so I don't really care, or think that there is any sort of vast conspiracy to undermine paternity testing in the Western world, and I can't believe that you really think that duped paternity gets anywhere near 10…

Yeah, France, good point. Even there you can still get one with a court order, which I can't imagine would be particularly difficult if you had any evidence of cheating and if it was relevant to divorce/other court proceedings. Or you could just send the sample to a lab outside of the country, which is illegal, but I can't imagine that they are policing it very strictly in Europe.

To question 1, I genuinely wouldn't care at all as long as the sex is good and that we get along and have a good connection. I would be annoyed if I was in a sexless marriage (and probably divorce), because to me a sexual connection is an extremely important part of a relationship, but in my (anecdotal) experience the relationships that I've have the worst sex in were those in which the woman had a low partner count, so I don't worry too much about a high partner count as long as she has a good …

Doesn't that just happen naturally, anyway? In my experience everyone that starts dating "puts their best foot forward" subconsciously because they always want to impress this new person, which tends to make some people nervous and act a bit strangely. I think "be yourself" is more an admonition to not overly sugarcoat things in the beginning so that the inevitable disappointment is less after a few weeks/months/years.
