Thank you for explaining, not sure why that was difficult for people to grasp. It's associative. Most people don't associate "creepiness" with "mental illness". Doesn't mean creepy people can't perform the behavior identified as creepy, etc.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/01/16 04:12 PM

No, it is what characteristic is a creepy person more likely to have, not what characteristic makes a person more creepy.

I do think that appearance/voice/charisma can affect how "creepy" a man comes off, yes. But there is definitely a line drawn in terms of behavior. I don't care if you're Chad 2.0, don't follow me home, don't block me from walking in the street if I'm going somewhere, don't grab me because I'm not acknowledging you, etc. Here's an article about an interesting study on it. It's just a survey, but still interesting I think. What is an example of behavior that you would consider to be "creepy" from …

Heheh in lust. One of my friends is your average white dude, pretty short and not all that attractive, and he had girls chase him down after he got off the bus to talk to him.

Dress smartly and be someone people want to talk to. Work on body language, practice small talk/conversing with random people. See what works for you and what doesn't. Take the qualities you already have and learn how to make them work to your advantage.

Could that also be happening with you, and with your observations of your surroundings? Very likely. It's easy to assume that your perception of reality is the same as everyone else's. But I do think that in terms of dating/hookups/etc., men can get away with being less physically attractive if they have other qualities that make up for it, which is why I'm much bigger on SMV over just general physical attractiveness. Of course this has a lot to do with my observations, but I definitely didn't s…

Hmmm ok I guess I see your point then. I'm not sure where you're going with this? I'm just trying to understand where you're coming from and thus am asking question, not arguing with you. I have no insight into the life of an "average male" as you've defined it. Moreso I was noting that my perspective of "average" is different than as you have defined it because of where I've been living for the past however many years (metropolitan materialistic/party cities).
/r/PurplePillDebate02/01/16 10:18 PM

So to what extent would other qualities such as wealth, personality, etc., other SMV things, be able to raise a man out of 2%?
/r/PurplePillDebate02/01/16 09:55 PM

So the issue is in weight then? Why not just get in shape and increase your chances? Also, location and culture is going to have a lot to do with body weight. Where I live there are very few overweight people, as opposed to in a different location where obesity is more common. According to this article, the average american woman is 166lbs, which at an average height of 5 feet 5 inches, makes them overweight. I wouldn't say that the average women I'm around are that size.

Lived in South America. Far more machismo culture. Men were super aggressive in terms of pursuing women, way too touchy. I heard "yeah I have a girlfriend but so what, we're not married!!" multiple times. White guys were chased after by the locals, blonde girls fawned over by the men. Worth noting that this country is known for having super beautiful women, and very, very few people were overweight. Men definitely seemed a lot more "in control" of the whole dating scene though.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/01/16 09:46 PM

Hmmm I could see that for men over the age of 30. I wouldn't say that is accurate for guys between the ages of say, 18-25.

Yep that's exactly it. Physical attraction means very little to me unless it comes from someone I'm seeing.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/01/16 05:55 PM
3

So would you rather a guy not just crush on you for your appearance? Yep that's basically it. It's not like I'm against someone being physically attracted to me, I just expect an attraction to other parts of who I am as well. Since if you want to start a relationship/spend time with me/etc., I want there to be more compatibility beyond simply "I enjoy looking at you."
/r/PurplePillDebate02/01/16 05:37 PM
2

Depends on their behavior and the context of our relationship, no matter how attractive they are. It does usually make me sort of self conscious though, because it forces me to evaluate my behavior and wonder if there is something I'm doing that is giving them the wrong idea or whatever. I do tend to assume that the more attractive the guy is, the more likely his "crush" is based either on my appearance or on some sort of misconception, so I'm more wary.

Top 20% of what, physical attractiveness?

2% is a success rate many average guys would kill for. I think you have a really skewed view of average here. What is an "average guy" to you?

I didn't respond that way, I wouldn't hold a high partner count against a SO. However, in regards to your questions, while I don't think he is obligated to tell me, per se, I think honesty in an important part of a relationship. Playing the "I plead the 5th I'm not obligated to disclose my sexual history" card is pretty immature, IMO. I think it's reasonable on both ends to disclose.

I agree with you 100%. I've seen objectively very average looking dudes swarmed by women because they're frat bros at a table at some expensive ass club. Just because you're not born attractive as a man does not mean you're screwed for life in terms of the sex/dating game. What I'm trying to get at is that if you lack in looks, you can make up for it with other things like game and status. Confidence, above all else, is the driving force behind what triggers lust in women. Yep. I've actually bro…

Yes. I used to be a frequent club hopper/party-er but never had a one night stand, have turned down many a "desirable" rich Chad, pay for my own shit and always will, etc. Don't care about dating, much prefer to just focus on school/work and argue with people on the internet. That being said, I still won't deny that I do see a lot of the trends TRP points to in terms of the dating game, gender dynamics, behavior of the genders, etc. Are a lot of women "like that"? For sure they are, I've seen it…

men who rape and beat women get laid all the time. Criminals are actually more likely than the average population to get laid. Uhh not ever criminal is a rapist or a wife beater. Even if you can statistically prove that criminals get laid more often than the general population, definitely doesn't prove that rapists and wife beaters are getting laid because they have "bad boy appeal."

it requires an inference from specific cases, and therefore cannot be a totality. It would mean INFERRING that your GENERALIZATION is ENTIRELY, UTTERLY, OUTRIGHT true in ALL CASES to which your GENERALIZATION refers. Here is an example: I see 3 women steal things. (specific cases). Therefore, WOMEN steal things. That is a generalization. If you were to take it further to say, ALL WOMEN STEAL THINGS, you are making an ABSOLUTE claim about WOMEN, which you have GENERALIZED from, because of your SP…

So then what does TRP do for you then? If you never cared, and accept full responsibility for that, why turn to TRP? Curious because I can relate a lot to what you wrote, especially this: Both times I told myself that I should let it go and focus on my grades because those two girls wouldn't matter in the long run but my academics would. Okay, I'm saying that it's really difficult to have a generalization that is universally true. Which is all I've been saying during this entire conversation. You're being so unnecessarily pedantic. The words "absolute" and "generalization" do not make an oxymoron. If it would make you feel better, take it to mean "making absolute claims and assertions of truth based on generalizations."

Being a smart, morally upstanding, hardworking guy who plays by the rules has nothing to do with whether you are able to attract women. In fact, being a 'bad guy' who is violent/into crime probably means you're getting laid more than the guy who does everything 'right'. I'm not going to attempt *to change your view here, because I think the statement is backed by the evidence you provided. No, you missed the point. The point was that it is nearly impossible to obtain absolute proof of anything. We haven't measured the gravity of every star in every atom of the universe. Therefore, technically, we do not have absolute proof that our understanding of gravity is ALWAYS TRUE EVER. I'm making a point against absolute generalizations. Seems to be lost on you too.

Oh god I do understand what a theory is. Again you're presuming ignorance, or like I'm making the stupid argument like "oh evolution is just a THEORY aka NOT REAL or PROVEN." The point I'm making, is that you are saying that a positively-framed generalisation is good for feminism. But, a negatively framed generalisation for RP, is also good. Never said this at all, you totally projected that onto me. All I just said was that the points made by OP aren't equivocal. Just because I'm disagreeing with OP doesn't make me blue pill. As a general rule, how could I know if a generalisation was true, or not? How can I know that your generalization about generalizations is generally true? It just doesn't even make sense to argue that, I think you're missing the point. Lets say there is a group. And the group is about loving cheese. And all you do in the group is talk about cheese and eating cheese etc. etc. Can you say for certain that every single person in that group loves cheese? Well no, probably not. But is it more likely …

Well it depends on the generalization. You can probably argue that all feminists have this in common: the belief that men and women should have equal rights and opportunities Although I'm sure every feminist has their own ideas of what "equality" means. And maybe you could find some person who calls themselves a feminist who has TRP ideas, because they think equal rights and opportunities for women lie in the domestic sphere. Generalizing in general is super risky business. I'm not condoning it …

Yeah of course, both sides generalize. It's a really bad way to make a point. I'm not saying TBP doesn't generalize or that it should, I know many TRP-type people and have had some really great convos with TRPers in this sub who don't fit any of the generalizations the OP linked to. But I didn't say anything at all to defend TBP, to criticize TRPers, or even say "generalizing is okay" etc. Generalizing about 50% of the population is not the same as generalizing about members of a group people el…

A generalization about men and women is not the same as a generalization about TRPers. A group of people on the internet who share a common ideology, talk to eachother about this ideology, behave a certain way because of it, see the world a certain way because of it, etc? Not the same as a group of people who share the same genitals.

I would say that women respected the hell outta me for operating like that. It was like "Finally! A guy who gets it!" more than anything else. Exactly. From a woman's perspective, when you are constantly getting hit on and approaching by guys, everyone starts to blend. A female can go out to a bar with a group of her friends and get hit on/approached/ by a minimum of 5 guys a night. If every guy you talk to is trying really hard to impress you, it gets old pretty quickly. To have someone treat y…

It's not possible to say that one gender has it "objectively" better or worse. It depends on the context, the individual, the situation, etc. Most straight guys probably don't know what it feels like to be grabbed and pressured for sex by a person twice their size and strength. Most straight women probably don't know what it's like to have to be responsible for initiating almost every act of romantic/sexual interest. A woman can't be babytrapped like a man can, but a woman also has a much greate…

I think people do that with any ideology, in terms of pursuing a personal agenda under the guise of a larger theme/message. Some TRPers do the same thing.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/12/15 11:09 PM

I mean, a woman also doesn't want to lead on a guy who she doesn't want to have sex with. If a woman is too nice or too passive with her rejections, it's possible the guy might not get the message. Not saying women need to like, crush a guy they're rejecting into a million pieces, but sometimes being cold, direct, and to the point with a rejection is the clearest way to get your message across. I don't really see that as such a horrible thing. God forbid a woman be direct, right?

I think that sort of behavior from "feminists" can be summed up by people taking an ideology and misrepresenting/misapplying it. If feminism is all about women having equal rights/social mobility to do what they want, then a SAHM who is happy with her choice should have just as much respect/feminist props as a woman who goes out and gets a Phd or whatever. Attempting to shame and bring down a woman for her choices, whether it be to fuck a bunch of dudes or be a SAHM, is pretty anti "feminist" IM…

This is so true. Reminds me of a time I was at a bar and this clearly nervous guy started to talk to me. He asked me what my name was and his response was,"wow that is a really ugly name. I mean you're too pretty for that name, you know?! Ha ha!" My reaction wasn't positive. He then got awkward and slinked away. Uhhh how does calling someone a misogynist appeal to people's emotions? that doesn't even make sense. Calling someone a nasty name with a negative connotation to discredit them is not an appeal to emotion. More like an ad hominem. I know this is semantics, but I'm making a point because I know people are really all about calling out logical fallacies here, so if you're going to do so it should be done correctly. First of all, you're not even using the term "appeal to emotions" correctly. Here is the definition of the term: Appeal to emotion is a logical fallacy characterized by the manipulation of the recipient's emotions in order to win an argument, especially in the absence of factual evidence. Calling someone out for making a claim in the absence of actual evidence, and then saying,"what you said has no basis in reality and is motivated by your emotions" is 100% a valid point and not an "appeal to em…

It might not be your game to make other people laugh. But I do think that making someone laugh is a great tool to alleviating awkwardness or making someone feel comfortable around you. I think most people don't,"make jokes," like preconcieved "hey did you hear this one thing" joke. Those aren't great. Usually, it's comments about things that happen in the moment. You NEVER make jokes or say things that other people find funny in your day to day life?

I'm in my early 20s, yes. But I do know that my 26 year old friend likes to sit around with his work buddies and go through his facebook to show off all the girls he's banged. Could just be the people you associate with. I would never deny that I've come into contact with women as described in the OP. But none of my girlfriends sit around and compare their boyfriend's physical attractiveness. Then again, I don't surround myself with women who do those things.

So women are only attracted to Chads, it's obvious who is a Chad, but women can't figure out if a man is attractive without the approval of other women? Uh. You should go test this hypothesis by asking a random woman in isolation if she finds a certain guy attractive. If she gets really nervous/confused and then bursts into flames, you'll know you're correct.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/12/15 06:54 PM
13

Most men I know (myself included) think a woman is attractive or not regardless of what other men think. Meh, wouldn't agree with you here. Men look to other men for "approval" in terms of how attractive their SO/the woman they're banging or how desirable a woman is just as much as women do with men. Looking to others for direction/approval/etc. is not exclusive to one gender.

Hmmm how is not standing out a reward? I won't say I disagree with the general premise, I've noticed downright vicious catty-ness from women who get pissed off if another woman isn't "conforming" enough or whatever, but wouldn't it be beneficial to stand out/get noticed by more men?

Unfortunately true. I'll never understand this. Yeah some of it comes from men, but the majority really is from other women. Even some "feminist" women like to look down on and shame more red-pill type women. Smh. Why can't we all just let each other live?
/r/PurplePillDebate19/12/15 08:56 PM

Exactly. Sure, women are technically "allowed" to do whatever they want, but that doesn't mean there isn't social stigma or pressure dissuading women from entering certain fields or acting a certain way.

All things considered I just get the sense that women relish emotional conflict. It seems to provide them energy. Hence their preoccupation with gossip etc.. This really depends on the woman. Perhaps if you didn't accept this as an inherent female trait, you wouldn't surround yourself with women who act this way.

maybe this is my INTJness, but the only compliments that offend me empty ones. i hate being complemented for traits i don't possess. it makes me question someone's intelligence and authenticity Yep. A "compliment" I get relatively frequently is that I seem "sweet and innocent." Wtf? I know I have a baby face, but if you say that especially after we've been talking for a bit, I'm going to immediately write you off. It's just inaccurate. Don't use me as a screen on which to project your nonsense.

The problem is that for a lot of "intelligent" men there are a lot of correlating negative traits that outweigh their intelligence (betaism, sexism, arrogance, demandingness, mommy issues) Truth. Intelligence is attractive, being condescending isn't.

I have never seen any indication that men are more competitive than women. Sure, the "average" man might seem more competitive than the "average" woman, but it's just a matter of to what pursuits they're focusing that competitive energy. Why do you think some women need to post a million pictures of them and their boyfriends everytime they're within a few feet of each other? Also, you've clearly never made another woman's boyfriend laugh. Oh boy.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/12/15 01:06 AM

Couldn't you argue that the woman who tries to out mom/ out wife/ out perform other moms/women is just as competitive as the guy who works to make it to a leadership position? That the genders have the same level of competitivness, just in their own seperate fields?

much the same as they believe all women to be good and true also. Most BPers don't believe that "all women are good and true". It's ridiculous to assume that 50% of the population is automatically good based on gender. It's just as ridiculous to assume that 50% of the population is evil, lying, and manipulative based on gender, but you know. Nonsense is okay here if it comes from the right side.

A few issues here. First of all, BPers in particular Im just confused at how putting faith in the neutrality of science is a BP issue. Both sides do this when they post and cite random studies that support their view. Also, as an actual scientist, why not comment about the many TRPers go around spouting about the "naturalness" of gender roles/evolutionary bio like it's a well established fact?

Hey I agree with you. I think the last thing anyone should ever bitch about is their SO improve themselves. I also think it's important not to let yourself go in a relationship, physically and life wise, but most people aren't like that and see a relationship as the end game as opposed to something worth keeping up. To me getting comfortable reflects a mindset that the person you're with is change-adverse enough to stick around.

I don't think any woman would be complaining if their husband lost weight, got a six pack, and started screwing her senseless every night. Actually I do see stuff like this on /r/relationships pretty frequently. My favorite was a woman who made fun of her boyfriend for being fat, then he got in shape and lost a bunch of weight. He then started getting a lot of attention from other women and she got upset.

If you go into a relationship expecting your SO to never change or grow, you're going to be upset. If what a woman says conflicts with what she does, a man would be a fool to believe what she says. Yeah but that's all humans though. Both genders do this. The reason TRP doesn't care about women's advice is that it claims that all women are delusional and lack self awareness. So basically, it means they have an "out" to reject anything a woman says that doesn't align with their preconceived worldview.

There is definitely a lot of truth to TRP. Especial…

I have been on the BB misc. For 3 years, have a ton of books, you don't see what happens behind the scenes because as far as TBP is concerned everything is the man's fault and he should Just Get It Funny, I wouldn't consider TRP/TBP being behind the scenes, nor would I consider reading books to be "behind the scenes". It's layers and layers of separation from reality.

I don't openly ridicule anyone or bully anyone who I "shut down" after approaching me. I understand that for a lot of people, it's not easy to approach someone. There's no hatred, just indifference. But honestly, I genuinely do not give a shit about the way my rejection makes a person "feel". The feelings of random men who I don't want to sleep with is not my responsibility. I don't know how or why it would be.

Can guys prefer girls with vaginas? Can bald men date long haired women? You know the difference between these things, and it has to do with what you choose and what you don't. Can a short guy prefer to date taller women, and visa versa,? of course. It's about what you have control over and what you don't. You can choose to have sex with a lot of people, and you can choose not to. Decisions and consequences.

Really? I find that to be a super hypocritical thing to say, to expect something of someone that you yourself are refusing to provide. But i you're sticking here to it being about "preference", it's hard to argue really.

Meh, I think it was either a chummy "high five" thing or just an unspoken "boys will be boys" thing. But It was just that men were more easily forgiven of such transgressions. Okay, so you're being pedantic in an attempt to detract from the actual issue. You behave in a certain way, but think negatively upon someone who behaves in the exact same way you behave. That's hypocrisy. It doesn't have to be about what is and isn't "moral" behavior. I don't know a single person who isn't uber religious who thinks that your N-count has anything to do with "morality". This isn't about morality, it's about behavior.

Huh so I actually see what you're saying. if you're a woman and you're a slut, you're deciding to sleep with a bunch of men. But if you're guy and you're a slut, it's because there's something about you the opposite finds attractive. Therefore, women are less likely to "slut shame" a guy who has a high partner count, because those same women probably find that guy attractive in some way.

If anything I think "height-shaming" should get first priority over "slut-shaming" because height isn't something you can change. I think there's more of a contemporary SJW audience for things like "slut-shaming" even though "height-shaming" is arguably way stupider, because like you stated, it's something a guy can't control. Nowadays it is hypocritical though. We don't have generations of family property (most of us anyway) on the line in terms of procreation. I think women find this attractive about men; but I don't think men find this attractive about women especially once a man gets to know her. It's exhausting and it's frankly frightening to think you're in an LTR with a woman you don't fully know. What's she going to spring on you? This must depend on the man then. If you cannot socialise then there must be a pathological cause. I fear a lot of Incel suffer from a delusion of persecution. No one owes you sex and love. You have to find someone willing to give it to you and that requires a reciprocal conversation rather than insane demands. I agree with you. I'm sick of people having shitty entitled attitudes and then externalizing blame on others, especially because I or other women don't want to sleep with them. It's way easier to call women 'evil cunts' t…

Could you deal with it if a man had settled for you physically but he still enjoyed sex with you and acted like he wanted you? Do you feel the need to be beautiful in your Husband's or partner's eyes even if you are not? I mean, the other posts make a good point. Technically most people settle for someone less than "10/10 most attractive person in the world". But obviously there are other things at play in terms of who you date/marry beyond simply physical attraction. Do you feel the need to be …

Can you define vulnerability here for me? Because in this thread, I've seen it range from reasonable things like "losing a job or a pet dying" to "crying in your arms every other night". Losing a job or having your pet die, totally reasonable to be vulnerable in those situations and I actually can't think of any woman I know IRL who wouldn't agree. Crying every other night? Fuck no. Most men probably wouldn't even want to date a woman who did this.

So is saying that someone "giving" you something is oppression. That "refusing" it is just fine. But them refusing to give it has to be justified. But if you refuse it you don't have to justify it and if he gets upset then he's just an evil patriarchal shitlord. Do you not see the double standard here? Saying "Rape= oppression" then "taking someone's last name= oppression" therefore "rape=taking someone's last name=they cause the same amount of harm to a human" is a ridiculous equivocation to make. It's like saying "petty theft=crime" and "murder=crime" therefore "petty theft=murder". I mean, come on. Either way, same response. I want to keep my last name. Yeah /u/Bekazzled, you don't ACTUALLY empathize or genuinely care about the men in your life. This person knows. Further, as a woman you're incapable of reconciling negative ideas about yourself with reality. Seems to me like you're the one with a convoluted argument attempting to validate the claim that 50% of the global population can't empathize because they have vaginas. Who is the one who has trouble reconciling ideas with reality again?

But if your man cries to you every other night... do you still want to have sex with him? Is this the only alternative? NEVER being emotionally vulnerable and crying every other night? I don't want to date anyone who cries every other night. How annoying. AWALT though.

It works if both parties are open to it. There are definitely some women who prefer to be in the submissive role, and men who want to make all the decisions. This: Who wouldn't want to be with someone who plans for the future and is willing to take on the majority of responsibility for the relationship? For me personally, is unnecessary. I plan for the future and I take 100% responsibility for myself. I don't need a "First Mate", just a partner.

How could there be any doubt that men are polygynous in nature? You didn't prove anything here. You referred to sperm and egg count and two historical people who have fathered a bunch of children. Just because casual sex is mainstream doesn't mean a girl who frequently talks about sex or puts out often isn't considered "slutty" by our society. It's the definition of a double standard; women are both expected to put out and be chaste at the same time. I agree with you here. Even in terms of relationship dynamics, there are very few in which one person is 100% dominant and the other is 100% submissive. Some people want that, hence the whole TRP surrendered wife thing, but IMO someone who needs to be 100% one way or the other has some confidence issues (i.e, needing to be in control all the time or being too afraid to be in control of anything). There is a bit of dishonesty here as anyone you define as alpha can hook up with chicks. I totally agree with you here. I actually don't think this is the definition of alpha that TRPers use. Nope, not at all actually. I mentioned my own preference which was required to properly respond to that comment and then mentioned a study. No offense to you, but I've found that the women who aren't visually turned on by seeing a hot guy like I am when I see a hot woman, it usually means that she doesn't have that much of a sex drive, or that she's not attractive to begin with, and feels that she would never have a chance with the male model, so sh…

These aren't really great contrasting examples, and I think you're getting the wrong message. Female and male sexuality is pretty different. Male sexuality is much more visual, whereas a picture of a random guy model shirtless isn't going to do it for me. The role of game is to teach a man how to present himself and his personality in a fun, exciting, and inviting way to a woman. It's not meant to deceive women into believing a false premise about a man, it's just presenting a man in his best light. I don't understand how this falls into the strategy of game. Well, if the guy can at least semi-reliably get 7s, why should he compromise on it? Never said he should! I just answered the question that some low SMV men would not be happy with a low SMV female. I think society teaches women that emotional manipulative behavior is an okay way to operate and get what you want. We dissuade women from speaking directly and being upfront about things, so instead we encourage them to get what they want through more covert means. I prefer not to emotionally manipulate. I'm not even good at it. I've always been upfront and a straight shooter, but I've noticed that there are people who are not comfortable dealing with a woman like that. Sometimes I have to resp…

Attractiveness in general is a very subjective thing across both genders. Example, I think Channing Tatum looks like a farmer with 2 brain cells. A lot of women think he is very attractive. Some men have more "socially delineated" standards for beauty, (aka blonde, white, red lipstick etc.) while others have their own tastes.

Yes, that's why I said "this is probably the reason TRP exists in the first place" because TRP has to tell guys that they need to get their shit together and that they aren't entitled to anything. It's amusing how you guys constantly use the "TRP'ers are entitled" trope I haven't said that ever actually ;)

Attitude and entitlement. So much entitlement when it comes to middle/upper class American guys. Not sure if it's cultural or parenting or what, but this stands out to me more than anything. Actually, this is probably the reason TRP exists in the first place. So many guys thinks they deserve a hot blonde with a killer bod, and then get extremely offended and butthurt when the 9 isn't interested in the awkward and entitled 3. I'm just going to start off by saying that the things I'm posting are personal anecdotes. I can only provide my perspective here and can't speak for each individual female's preferences. First of all, I think it's silly to say that black women as a whole are "too masculine and alpha" and that's where their dating woes come from. I'm definitely not masculine looking, but my personality is frequently described as masculine, I have a direct manner of speaking and emotions/being empathetic isn't real…

I asked where the idea came from, because in my mind it's a false premise about reality. Attention is attention whether it is from unattractive men or attractive men. Some of TRP guys in the sub did a pretty fair job of elaborating in a,"general attention vs. attention that women want" way, which I'm sure guys can relate to as well. Problem is, more often than not, there is ALWAYS a more attractive man than the one next to you. If we go by women's rules, we'll have a majority of men being underm…

Ok here are a BUNCH of links referring to the phenomenon I'm talking about: 1 2 3 I'v seen it frequently in my own life as well, I used to live in a very money/status driven city and it wasn't unusual to see super hot gorgeous girls with gross guys. Mmm yeah but there are definitely some facets/reactions/growths of TRP that I would consider to be bad like dread game and aspects/reactions/growths of feminism that I would consider to be bad like "all white men are literally evil they do not deserve a voice in society lets take pictures of them sitting on the bus with their legs kind of open and shame them on the internet"

Haha well I can't say my mind changed here, I always felt this way. Seems like common sense IMO. Nothing more annoying than listening to someone who doesn't take care of themselves rant about how they deserve to be with a model.

HA that's funny, maybe. From my perspective it just means literally nothing when a random person tells me I'm attractive. If you want to chalk it up to dopamine receptor saturation then that's fine with me. So my question then moving forward from you theory, would that mean that high SMV women would care less about how attractive/ the SMV of their SO is then? I mean it's pretty well established that men seem to be able to "date up" more than women can but still.

Hmmm interesting question, and I actually think about this pretty frequently. From the perspective of someone who is pretty introverted, I don't like when I try and go out to the grocery store or go for a walk/jog and people draw attention to or make passes at me. I also don't like when I'm trying to do something practical in a work or service setting and I'm getting hit on or oggled. I read the thread but unquestionably women have it easier in the dating arena then men. Our dating culture is based around the idea of men being the pursuers and the initiators who women get to say yes/no to. That doesn't mean that feminism is worthless or that TRP is all good and all right but yes, I definitely think that TRP analysis of our current sexual marketplace is correct. I've written a couple posts about it that I'm too lazy to link to but yes.

Ahhh you know what, your last point makes a bit more sense. Yes average/even somewhat unattractive women tend to get frequent positive attention from the opposite sex. Yet when you ask women, all you hear from them is that dating is unfair and how they never get any positive attention and validation whatsoever from men. The RP interpretation is that they don't get the attention they want, but mostly or even only the attention they could very well do without (i.e. attention of guys they don't con…

When, you walk up to a woman and start talking, you are making an assertion that you are in her league. If she disagrees, then the fact that you thought so offends her. Hmmm okay I see now. So the argument is that women do not consider unattractive men making passes at them to be hitting on them because they use it to gauge their own SMV? Whatever caliber of man hits on a woman deter…

Women liking to be dominated in the bedroom ≠ woman need to be dominated in a relationship to be happy. You're taking one specific trend of male/female sexual interactions and projecting it onto a generalization about what all women need to be happy in a relationship. If feminism doesn't work in the bedroom, it might as well not exist Uhhh what does this even mean? Why would feminism working in the bedroom be the bedrock for the success of feminism? We have to, as it were, find a way to fight to the "front of the line", and that can be an arduous process. Yes, this is totally the way things are in our dating culture. Someone would have to be closing their eyes and covering their ears not to notice. Of course it is subjective. Some women are more interested in relationships than casual sex, some women have trouble not being promiscuous. In general, I find the idea of "having trouble" controlling your partner count to be shifting responsibility away from the individual. If you consent to sex you consent to sex. It seems like you're confusing promiscuity for infidelity here. how do you think it works for attractive men, who tend to be more amenable to casual sex? Uhhh it's almost like you're …

If you can sleep with a bunch of girls, you most likely are attractive, which leads to a bunch of other girls being open to sleeping with you This is about whether male promiscuity on it's own is desirable, not whether or not a promiscuous male has certain characteristics that are desirable. Women do not actively get involved with a guy because he sleeps around. Most likely, the guy has certain traits that allow him to sleep around a lot that she finds attractive. The promiscuity is never a sell…
/r/PurplePillDebate05/08/15 01:50 PM

And if you can't? Not every person who has the ability to sleep around a lot does. It's not either "I can get laid a lot and therefore I do" and "I can't get a girl ever". There are many degrees of separation between a 30-yo virgin and a guy who has slept with a very high number of people.

I don't even think you need the word "should" here. Male promiscuity is undesirable, point blank. Depends on the individual. I've known highly emotional men and stone cold women. Society definitely gives women more permission to be emotional and discourages men from acknowledging their emotions. Imo, this causes some women to be superfluously emotional and some men to suppress their emotions and in turn act highly irrationally.

Yes, this is absolutely true. We women make career and major life choices based on horoscopes. Maybe TRP should start writing their own about how the Sun in Leo means that you should defer to the men in your life and devote all of your time to raising children, cooking and cleaning. Women do not make our hearts skip and give us butterflies. Women either are sexually desirable to us, or they are not. This is an interesting argument to me. Isn't a part of the Red Pill Philosophy that women can never love men as much as men love women because women will always put children first?

higher intelligence correlates with behavior that's simply unattractive This. I commented it below, but this is exactly the issue. Some of the highly intelligent men I know either find the need to brag about how smart they are or constantly patronize others, and on top of that they tend to have poorly developed social skills. Those reasons alone are enough for me to find them unattractive. Intelligence isn't enough to cancel those traits out.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/07/15 02:36 PM

Intelligent, yes. Condescending, no. Poor social skills, no. I'm attracted to intelligence, but some of the smartest guys I've met have either been incredibly condescending or socially awkward. Those two qualities are enough to nullify any iota of attraction I have to how bright they are. I'm more forgiving with the social skills, but being condescending is a big no for me.
