1	Beard VS makeup. Zing! That's a beard. It needs to grow for a year if you want it longer but yeah, you just need Rocco tongue to brush it. I went to school for hair and stuff, and worked with men's hair and grooming, so I know plenty of men that would get stuck at this phase and felt like it never grew - but all you gotta do is groom (brush) and go to sleep and wake up, and forget about it.
