I've seen it too. Doesn't end nicely if those burnt out ladies don't undergo intense emotional healing. which is why that dudes suggestion to get laid, fall in love, wake up-old-and-gray-and-everything-is A-OK sounded ludicrous. Its not (often) a reality for women; though it is sound advice for a laid back man who decides to upgrade his plate after years of being with happy with her.

No offense to your perspective, to me this sounds like get on the cock carousel ten years too late and hope everything just works out. I feel like this advice could work perfectly for men, you have got the time to spare, and men mostly still call the shots in deciding whether a casual fling is even permitted to 'naturally and organically' evolve into a LTR. The thing is though, it doesn't often happen where women stay with just anyone they are in love with then wake up older and realize, 'hey ,w…

Remind yourself that everyone is the wrong one until you meet the right one, whether that's 1 or 100 men. Often there's nothing wrong with you, or them, that's just what dating by definition is. I don't truly enjoy meeting strange men, even more so when they are from the net, but at my ripe old life stage post college and in a small firm job, it's something I need to do to increase the chances of meeting the best man for me . When we meet him all the failed past encounters will be worth it, IF w…

True. Just because we don't have a partner to display on our feed means we have to unload angst on Facebook. I think that will more likely only attract schadenfreude from acquaintances who don't really care.

I'm gonna come in from a different perspective. First thing's first. You have abusive parents. That will and already has scr*wed up your love life on account of never having an appropriate model of parental affection for which you can then imitate with your dates. I grew up never being hugged by my parents, never seeing them hug, and getting torn to pieces verbally whenever trying to get emotionally intimate with one of them. How do you think I fared when I began dating at 20? That's right, I su…

This is confusing, I thought red pill men by definition swear off marriage, commitment and any semblance of long term relationships with one only woman.

The compliments I'm getting from guys I date are different from before. They used to be focused primarily on looks, now they say more things like " I love that you smile and a lot" or "I love that I can be real with you", and the occasional "you are so different from other women" when they are enamoured. Well of course I ain't different, but it's amazing how rpw behaviour makes one stand out in the dating pool.

That concept makes sense now, thank you. Your last paragraph brings to mind Tim Tebow with the ZFG attitude, he pulls it off not because hes unattractive and needs to, but because he can.

So are you saying that what's considered high value in such a way that will garner respect is pretty arbitrary, and it will defer for every woman?

I reckon this could be a separate post, but in case it was answered elsewhere, what essential characteristics according to RPW describes the high value man? Is having a high SMV as demonstrated by actual sexual experience with women necessary for a man to be considered high value?

I have made comparisons to Disney couples to help me understand the structure of your relationship models and because this happens to be a really fun topic. High dominance man, high dominance/low threshold woman (HHL) - Rapunzel and Flynn Rider for the most part of the movie. Rapunzel spends the initial phase of her budding relationship with Flynn arguing with him, aggravating him and literally challenging him with saucepan attacks – albeit in a lighthearted way. After she directs her pent up ag…

You are not unattractive, and there must be men in the woodworks who like you. There always are for gentle feminine girls :) I made a rigid post when I first joined here and so much has changed since really applying femininity into my behaviour. Thing is you can be incredibly beautiful, accomplished, well spoken, and perfect on the outside - but that doesn't inspire a man's affection or protection - and eventually provision. It's actually part of the feminist lie that we have to BE like men and …

Wow, that's sad. Do you wonder if people have truly internalised this cynical and contemptuous perspective towards love, or if most of them were booing to fit in with the crowd? I wonder how many ladies are going along with the scorn and dying just a little inside because actually, they would really love to be cherished like that.

"A captain with seven children, what's so fearsome about that?" Old fashioned romance, and even more recent romance movies like Disney's Enchanted has conditioned me to see the governess/single father union as almost romantic. The ease of those fictional romances are a far cry from real life though, but never say never ;)

Thank you for for the informative reply, I take it to heart :) I admire religious guys, that's the type I hope to attract. Many of them also voluntarily wait for sex which I think is amazing when men get shamed for it to a much larger extent than women. I adore kids and have been sitting on the idea of re joining kids ministry. Kids just bring out the best in me, and this feminine calmness, and distract me from this stupid self absorption.

Think it's prudent for an update. My self assessment of looks got some private messengers in a huff. With the sort of effort and enhancement we take to look great at prom or a wedding, I am nine. That's rarely 7 times a year. If I dash out of bed it is eight and a half. Being on the cusp of say top 15% means that in one small school cohort of 200 girls, I could be the 20-30 most attractive. When you think about it, it's not a huge deal at all. There are hundreds of millions of 8 and 9s. The top …

I don't have problems attracting men, but I am trying to get the right ones to approach me, which are the nice ones. I have cocky players try to pick me up, literally they tell me they even do PUA! But are too promiscuous for me. i may have to give the shyer guys the green light that I am available? and as mentioned before I need to work on my openess and approachability with men in general so that's given me food for thought. Thank you :)

Heh, my biology is probably making me paranoid, and coupled with a massive dose of impatience makes me anxious. Which is the theme for the OP, how not to screw it up. Cos if I'm frank, sometimes I feel like my CC riding friends are doing it right. I'm sitting here with a massive sex drive, but resisting it because there's a certain type of man I'm hoping to attract. Whereas they get it on with strangers from a club, and eventually get commitment from one of those guys who ends up being really sw…

I don't mind you asking. The one I feel comfortable disclosing was that someone I liked in a working situation and previously had a good dynamic with went verbally off on me in a very personal way. What triggered it was a playful comment I made after he teased himself. It was public and I cried, even this dude's friends were like "mate stop it". I found out later that two girls were spreading vicious rumors about me to management so it would turn him against me. The guy in question was an except…

Yes I can be stiff to the point tensing up around men. I suppose my demeanour after that could be taken as critical when in fact it's a cover up for fear of being humiliated by an angry man in public, which has happened times before. I would like to improve on being playful and pleasant with them, but am not sure how to. While not nasty, I am incredibly serious with them. It's encouraging to hear that they are easy to please.

Oh my goodness! Men come up to me all the time, but I am very lousy at noticing when a man is trying to impress me by demonstrating his value, or if he is just talking generally the way he does with his own male pals anyway. Like your Whole Foods example, I have men becoming offended if I offer them help, now you say that's their way of demonstrating masculinity, that they can help themselves and you? The post may have seemed trollish and too good to be true, but the points I mentioned are accur…

Right! When the question was rejected, I did not know that it was in some sort of limbo until I gained points for commenting on other posts. It was very strange logging on to see replies at all. Hello by the way :)

Must excuse me, I am new to reddit as a poster. As mentioned below my username is sardonic. I didn't delete my question, is it not showing anymore? An auto moderator rejected this post at first so it was actually a surprise to wake up and see replies. Could they have deleted the question? Affirmative, I ideally want to date a man who has prospect of being a good husband, instead of doing casual relationships which is what people in my age group are encouraged to do.

Hey htbf, thank you. It would be great for more in depth discussion about dating culture in church! This author called Josh Harris wrote a book called I Kissed Dating Goodbye, starting a social revolution of Christians refraining from all dating until they met their future spouse. Great help hey, how are you supposed to know that soneone appeals to you as a spouse if you don't date them? Chaste dating is challenging enough but now no dating? This attitude seeped into the Christisn community, now…

Hey fhigurethisout, would you elaborate on the last sentence? You could be the most good woman on earth but if you are not in the position or social circle to meet that good man, you won't.

I travel for fun with tour groups at least once a year, and really don't have any qualms about saying it's just for the fun experience. If anything it's way I tended to brag about it to guys, not deliberately, but more like my tone when talking about places I've been to was kind of like one-upping them in no.of countries. Understandably that deflates them, no one likes to feel unaccomplished just because they haven't deigned to hop on a plane - or because they haven't been blessed to. These days…

Wowies, I'm twenty three, never did the CC but sometimes, oh yes, sometimes I have entertained the thought, that hey, I could have been like my high school friends, having casual sex fun from 18-22, having boyfriends and cheating on them because these years are supposed to be inconsequential right? I could hop on now even, but don't want to resort to that. Admittedly I have felt resentful that they can have their cake and eat it, but when thinking deeply about it, no they won't. Like my friend's…

Wow I feel like this could have been me posting except I'm two years older than you. It can be really demoralizing when your dating track record is so nominal, even at this 'prime age'. I freak out and think, hey if early twenties are supposed to be the hot spot for meeting eligible men, and this is where I am NOW, what hope is there for the future? That sounds desperate and pathetic right, but that's how I genuinely feel. I have sunk into despair more than once over it. Don't know if we speak a…
