Here's a post about boundaries, maybe it will help spark some ideas: https://www.reddit.com/r/marriedredpill/comments/2vr5ih/how_to_build_boundaries_during_your_transition/

Is this what you're referring to? https://www.reddit.com/r/askMRP/comments/4fe7pk/how_to_handle_a_wife_that_is_always_sick_andor/d28l473/ For those who skim, his deconstruction is 3 comments long, one right under the next, if you sort by "old" or "top".

Of course I want my man to communicate, but if he came to me and told me about every little cut, scrape, and twinge, or if he complained about hurt feelings every time someone looked askance at him, it would get old really quick.

I strenuously disagree with that rule. If I know whether a comment/advice is coming from a man or a woman, it helps me to better understand their perspective, and thus to more accurately evaluate their advice. I understand there were problems in the past with men coming in and starting their comments with "Man here...", and people were reacting badly to that, so a rule was made to address it. I also understand the natural tendency of people to feel that because they are a man/woman (depending on…

Do you have any suggestions for how to handle that kind of situation, when you can't link it with your SO? For instance, maybe your SO has a new, full beer, or maybe he's on the other side of the room or whatever, is there a way one could smooth it over a little and not just let the man hang there, all embarrassed?

Ah, okay. Yeah, some of that seems pretty blatant, like baking cookies for a man with specific dietary goals; and others might not be conscious--like your example of insisting on ineffective diet plans--she might genuinely think she's helping, when she's really not. But either way, it seems to me, the end result is the same, and thus it illustrates why a strong frame is so important for a man. Thank you! :)

Would you mind expanding on the 'sabotaging MAPs' part? And maybe give some examples?

On the ring thing, if you haven't already, check out some small-time, independent jewelry makers. Every artist has their own style, so you'll want to check out a few, but it may make it easier to find/get a design that you like and that fits your practical requirements. I know nothing about prices anymore, but back in the day, one could get a much better ring for the money with the small independents. (Still can get pretty pricey though, depending on what you want/materials you choose.) Also, if…

It sounds to me like she's trying, but you can tell by her "slightly begrudging" effort that she's not all that into it, right? And then she flat-out told you: "It's called foreplay". So perhaps when she's asking for a backrub first, she's looking for a way to at least get relaxed, and maybe get some of that time we women need to shift into "sex mode". Maybe the backrub thing is the best she can get as a foreplay alternative, and maybe you touching her like that actually turns her on a little bi…

Thank you, that helps. I felt the High/Low scale part was clear, until I started thinking about and trying to apply it to my husband and I. On rereading those paragraphs, though, I realize that I had zeroed in on the scale and forgotten about the ratio part. And I guess I had to see "betas", "greater betas", "lesser betas, and "alphas" all together in one sentence like that before I picked up that you did provide a further divided scale. I was a little slow on the uptake, there. This is such a c…

Earlier in the post you mention number scales, but then you shift to using Low/High as descriptors. I am wondering if you could put together a kind of a set of guidelines for the numbers/how to rate these traits? Perhaps not a description for every single point between 0 - 10, just a few going up the scale. I think I have a high threshold for dominance, but as far as where my husband and I are at with regard to dominance levels, I have no clue. We seem to be all over the map, and I'm not sure ho…

You might think about doing the sex part early--before dinner and drinking and suddenly it gets really late and you're both tired as well as a bit desensitized by the alcohol. (Maybe plan a late lunch so you aren't too hungry in the early evening!) :) That way, you've got that 'primal urge' sated, top it off with a nice steak, and then both of you can be more truly relaxed for the rest of the evening. You can let things flow more naturally, and you won't have to stress about making the evening g…

I don't see your mental exercise as parallel to OP's situation. The way I understood it, it's more like this: The child makes a mess, and you tell him/her to clean it up. The child does not clean it up, manages to avoid it until bedtime, and your authority has been undermined. I've had moments in the past when I've lashed out at my husband in a similar way, and either it's been because I'm afraid that he's just going to let the child get away with bad behavior and I'm trying to force him to step…

D.N.B. stands for "do-nothing bitch". She said: “I have this one term for the kind of woman that my mother raised me to not be. And I call it ‘Do-Nothing Bitch.’ Or I call it a DNB a lot of the time. The kind of chick that just tries to be pretty and be taken care of by somebody else. That’s why I think it’s hilarious when people say my body looks masculine or something like that. “I’m just like listen, just because my body was developed for a purpose other than f--king millionaires doesn’t mean…

When my kids were getting bullied, they were afraid they'd get in trouble if they stood up for themselves. We had tried everything else that had been recommended (reporting, calling parents, etc.) and nothing ever worked. So I acknowledged to them that yes, there's a possibility they'd get in trouble. We discussed different scenarios, I told them how to handle various authority figures. I assured them unequivocally that I was in their corner, and if they got in trouble I would back them 100%. If…

I think the awakening of a Red Piller can be likened to following 'the rules' and trying to be a good person your whole life with little to show for it, until one day you saw other people break the rules with a smirk on their faces, have fun doing it, and be rewarded for it more than you've ever been. Ohfercryingoutloud. Within the context of the quote you are referring to, the "internal reward" you are so fixated on, is loneliness. Edit: I was quoting the quote tailboworks was quoting, for revi…

FWIW, I don't see a problem with the phrase about 'addressing a council of captains'. It didn't sound imperious or demanding to me. It's a sub for married men, and they are wholly responsible for the content. They are trying to repair other men who are hurting and broken, so I don't see the problem with them wanting others to be sensitive to that.

Regarding suggestions to record conversations, a quick search brought me to these links (be aware I did not read these carefully, I sorta skimmed them): The first is a pdf file, titled "Reporter's Recording Guide", published in 2012 by a non-profit journalist organization: http://www.rcfp.org/rcfp/orders/docs/RECORDING.pdf The second is from a place called Digital Media Law Project. It contains links to more information, within the article itself: http://www.dmlp.org/legal-guide/recording-phone-…

I knew a young woman in high school that was tall, like you, and she was quite feminine. She wore clothes that hinted at sexy in that classy, understated kind of way. She stood up straight, and carried herself with feminine confidence, and received a lot of positive male attention. Use your height to its best advantage! Anyone who says that tall women can't be feminine doesn't know what they're talking about, or else has a very limited view of femininity and masculinity.
