Today, game developers shoehorn female soldiers in WW2 games, unabashedly erasing men's coerced sacrifice from popular culture, all for money. "Mr. Wilson this textbook can't be right. I just played battlefield the other day and there was lots of women, but it says here it was mostly men on the front lines." Like battlefield 1 where they found the most fringe tech around at the time and made it commonplace? People didn't run around with fully automatic weapons in ww1, they didn't wear full metal plate, and tanks weren't a part of it till close to the end. But playing battlefield 1 you'd think everyone was running around with machine guns. Battlefield games have never been realistic, and never will be.
