Obviously anyone who is struggling to find dates may have to re-evaluate expectations especially if they lack desirable qualities themselves.

>And not to mention there are many neurodivergent men and women out there who struggle to juggle work, school, multiple friendships, and a romantic relationship all at once, so it’s kind of a “pick one” Interpersonal relationships are not subject to the ADA. If I can date someone who IS capable of working full-time and having friends, why would I date someone who struggles with it? >But wanting long-term stability, I think I would mesh better with the introvert who focuses on hobbies/books at ho…

The women I know who engage in casual sex do it for its own sake, not because they think it's "liberating" or "empowering." And it's not a zero-sum game. If a woman wants to have sex with a guy she's not dating for sheer enjoyment, she's not giving anything away or being tricked out of it. She's just having sex. I don't think it effects anyone's leverage on the dating market. People who want relationships will find themselves in one at some point even if they were promiscuous in the past.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/08/26 01:44 AM

A man dressed like that would almost certainly be signaling sexual availability to other men, and if he wasn't doing that on purpose, I'd think he was very oblivious.

At the end of the day, if men find that initiating, paying for dates, and other behaviors you describe as "simping" produce the results they want, they're going to continue doing those things, and they're going to be the ones getting dates while the rest of you complain on reddit. They do it because it works, and you're annoyed that women dare have expectations and preferences that inconvenience you. Sometimes I wonder if these posts whining about having to put in effort are men trying to sabota…

You'd have a point about laziness if the woman in question was single and complaining that men don't approach her. As it stands, most women are in a position where men pursue us. It can be convenient, yes, but it's not "laziness" to refrain from doing something we don't want to do, don't need to do, and aren't ethically obligated to do. That isn't mutually exclusive from finding it romantic and attractive when a man takes the initiative and provides, either. Men who dislike this dynamic know wom…

"Someone mentioned they would never date a woman who had been raped or was in a past abusive relationship." I wouldn't date me either tbh. A lot of men feel my good qualities are worth it and they think they can deal with the bullshit. Some find out they can't. Whether or no it's out of my control doesn't matter, because the fact that it's not my fault doesn't negate the effects of behavior. And one's dating preferences are not subject to social justice.

>Blah blah blah Thank you for the thoughtful refutation! The average man didn't sacrifice anything to "allow" women to work outside the home, and even they did, that was in the interest of liberty for women as a whole. Your charity pussy scheme would involve women selecting men to utterly devote their lives to for a year, for no reason other than him being lonely.

>So women don't know when their ovulating, not taking the pill, no abortion pill and no abortion? As I explained, there have been cases of hormonal birth control being sabotaged by a malicious partner. It also doesn't change the fact that some men do engage in reproductive coercion via "stealthing" when normally a condom is reliable. >So you're saying men CAN'T or shouldn't be stay at home dads because women need to recover? >No men have I ever heard of have even the intention. They couldn't even if they wanted to because women have complete contraceptive control. This is absolutely something that happens. Men have interfered with contraception by "stealthing" women (removing the condom secretly during sex). Some even poke holes in condoms or sabotage hormonal birth control. >I'd love to be a stay at home dad with a wife paying the bills - a total dream. Allowing women to work outside the home did not suddenly double the workforce just like that. Economics is far less simplistic. Men and women are not perfect substitutes. For example, I can't plop the average woman into a construction job and expect her to be as productive as the average male. The types of labor that this would impact are industry dependent, and this should be obvious. You can only generalize on industries where your gender doesn't matter. From psychology, we know that women on …

Being in a relationship with someone means spending a good chunk of your free time with them, and if you're not actually interested in them or getting anything out of the relationship yourself, you're losing opportunities to meet someone you actually want to be with. I wouldn't ask men to devote a year of their life to helping a random woman. There's also the risk that he reacts very poorly to the inevitable breakup.

If they're that anal about going tit for tat, they can pay for the cleaner to half the house and ask the poorer partner to do the other.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/07/26 08:07 PM
2

If you both spend the same amount of time working it makes no sense for one of you to have to spend more time doing housework. If one partner earns more and they don't want to do housework, they can pay for a cleaning service.

I had a similar experience to her. The guy wasn't an incel. He called himself a male feminist and had female friends. The relationship lasted a few months, he blocked me, then reached out on other platforms to "check in" and tell me he "wished me well" even 3 years later. That's why women don't want to be in the position of dating these guys - they will become obsessed.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/07/26 06:55 PM

That's a lot of pressure to put on a partner. Self-improvement ultimately starts and ends with an individual. Women don't want to the responsibility of being her boyfriend's reason to be.

It's extremely weird to bring up someone raping your kid out of nowhere too. You were replying to a woman saying that we shouldn't be expected to literally clean up after our male partners like they're children, and you went off about how you expect "the bitch" (your imaginary girlfriend) to do more chores if she doesn't earn as much money. Very concerning!

I briefly dated a 27 year-old morbidly obese virgin who never had a girlfriend and worked as a janitor. He claimed to be a male feminist but turned out to be psychotically jealous and controlling, saying he didn't want other men to even look at me. Ironically whenever we were on the outs he would DM other women, including one of my friends. Women being more likely to be vegetarian doesn't really mean anything in terms of how common they actually are. If these things are hard requirements, you'd have to multiple the percentage of women willing to be providers by the percentage of women who don't eat meat by the percentage who want three children, and so on. And not all of those women will necessarily be attracted to or want a relationship with you, or be open to being "converted" to your way of thinking. That's probably why people a…

Men will goon to a lot of women in porn that they'd never date IRL and feel absolutely ashamed once the post-nut clarity hits. I think a better comparison would be female love interests in media like James Bond, and Bond Girls tend to fall within a narrower range of beauty standards.

Some do have the kind of friendships you describe with women, it's just not common because it blurs the boundaries of friendship and a romantic/sexual relationship if the woman is male-attracted and the man is female-attracted. But that takes time to develop and you need to come across as a safe person. Right now you don't because you respond to women stating their boundaries by arguing how valid they are, and expressing irrational anger at the idea of being denied emotional intimacy with a woma…

"I need it with both men and women." What you want from people who aren't interested in giving it to you is irrelevant. If you've never been able to develop the kind of friendship you want with a woman, it's possible you creep them out. Appropriating leftist discourse about discrimination to demand cuddling and sleepovers will not fix that.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/06/26 04:16 AM

You may know that, but other people can't take your word for it. And it's not just about safety. Some women just aren't going to relate to you the way they do with their female friends. Maybe they're not worried about you developing feelings, but they're worried they might so they don't cross certain lines. Or it's religious/cultural. You've had multiple women describe the uncomfortable, dangerous, and traumatic situations they've weathered because they didn't discriminate and made friends with men, only for you to brush off everything they said and respond with passive-aggressive remarks like "You're bigoted! Sorry for being born with a penis!" You are not entitled to intimate friendships with women, and your desire for them does not outweigh women's desire not to be sexually assaulted or stalked. I hang out with femcels and I never heard this. The ones who are hostile towards men just don't befriend them. There are certain forms of emotional intimacy and vulnerability I only share with my female friends, though, because there are issues that aren't appropriate to discuss with men, and ones that cross friendship boundaries knowing that most men are heterosexual, and I am too.

Past a certain point, a large height difference isn't desirable because of logistics. A taller man by 10 inches would be 6'2" compared to the average woman at 5'4" and that's when it starts getting into "weird tall" territory.

Women make poor soldiers, so of course they weren't used as cannon fodder. They were breeding stock and domestic labor instead. They weren't being elevated above their brothers or husbands just because they were women.

I have seen anti-feminist men kvetch about Selective Service/the draft and pointed out to them that most feminists are anti-war and anti-draft. In response they say they think the draft is actually necessary, but also women aren't suited for the military (even in support roles) so the only "fair" solution is making us go back to the kitchen. Very disingenuous.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/06/26 12:59 AM

It's interesting how people who draw this comparison always propose taking away women's right to vote rather than abolishing the Selective Service. Also, repealing the 19th wouldn't automatically disenfranchise women, it would just make states able to do so individually, which probably wouldn't happen.

Kinda reminds me of an old joke: How many Jewish sons does it take to change a lightbulb? No, it's fine, don't worry, your mother will just sit in the dark... The punchline being that they're more concerned with everyone knowing that they're suffering than alleviating the issue.

Selfish and immoral women exist just like selfish and immoral men exist, they simply have different modes of behavior on average. And they both have their enablers who will find a way to explain how it's actually reparations or whatever their justification is.

You aren't attracted to men, have you considered that women aren't attracted to the men who apparently need pity sex? Straight women are attracted to men, just not all of them, and we usually need to get to know them first.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/06/26 03:41 AM
2

It's weird how some men don't understand how costly sex can be for women, like we're only refusing to let these poor chaps stick it in because we want them to suffer (and not because it risks our health and safety or anything). How many of these dudes would be willing to have "pity sex" with a gay guy? Come on, he's in a DARK PLACE!
/r/PurplePillDebate24/06/26 01:43 AM
2

Having pity sex with a desperate man you're not interested in is a terrible idea. It's not like he's going to be satisfied with just once especially if he gets little romantic/sexual attention otherwise. That's a good way to end up with a stalker.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/06/26 12:10 AM
4

I think it's reductive and misogynistic to suggest that the only reason another woman would hold a certain opinion is because she wants male approval. I only describe a woman as a "pick-me" if she debases or endangers herself or other women to impress a male romantic prospect.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/05/26 06:38 PM

/r/PurplePillDebate01/05/26 12:11 PM

/r/PurplePillDebate01/05/26 10:56 AM

I don't understand why you think when I say there shouldn't be total obedience, the only alternative is constant arguing and contrarianism for the sake of it. That's not what I'm suggesting.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/05/26 12:50 AM
3

Challenging in the way a piece of media makes you think, or strength training makes you stronger. A challenging partner wouldn't be completely submissive and devoted to you to the point where you could do no wrong and they'd continue to stick around. That would be boring, not to mention unsettling. There would be no point in having a conversation with such a person because they'd just mindlessly agree to whatever you said.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/05/26 12:07 AM
2

When I say "challenging" I don't mean unpleasant. Just a woman who isn't totally submissive (the female version of a simp, as described by OP).
/r/PurplePillDebate30/04/26 08:11 PM
6

I disagree. I think men - actually, people in general - get bored of things they don't have to work for. It's part of the human drive towards achievement.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/04/26 08:10 PM
35

A "pick me" is not simply a woman who's devoted to her boyfriend. It refers to a woman performing internalized misogyny for the sake of male approval, and not the approval of one man in particular. I also disagree that most men would respect the female version of a simp. A woman who threw herself at a man and sacrificed everything for him would be taken for granted and ultimately discarded for a more challenging woman, especially if she wasn't particularly attractive to him.

"Mating strategy" would be more accurate. "Natural selection" is a scientific term that doesn't really apply here, and I get the impression you're using that phrasing because you want to legitimize passport bro behavior as the secular will of God. The children of passport bros would need to have an innate trait (not one they learned) that allowed them to produce more offspring. This can sometimes turn o…

I think a lot of people are inclined to feel personally attacked when they're told they have it easier, even if it's true. "Just world syndrome" runs rampant in normie psychology. It's very troubling to think that some people will suffer through no fault of their own, so others comfort themselves by saying the person must have brought it on themselves somehow. Women like socially adept men because we find them attractive and easy to relate to. Deliberately choosing a partner I'm not really interested in because I think they won't cheat on me is counterproductive because I'll just end up resenting them and they might cheat on me anyway. Someone who doesn't get a lot of attention from the opposite sex in the first place might paradoxically be even more inclined to cheat because they're so starved for validation.

There's no winning with these guys. If you're dating a short man, they say you must be old/fat/"ran through" and settling for a betabux short man because you couldn't get a tall man.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/04/26 06:00 PM

It's cherry-picking. There is nothing I can say to this man to convince him that his height (which is probably within normal range anyway) is the only things standing between him and happiness.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/04/26 05:50 PM

They place her on a pedestal and lovebomb her, but it's uncomfortable and not even flattering because their standards are "be female" and that's it. Unfortunately this tends to scare dates off and make them even more desperate for the next time until they learn to cool it and be less clingy.

/r/PurplePillDebate18/04/26 11:58 AM

The impression I get from red pillers is they acknowledge a young attractive woman might enjoy being single and dating a lot of different people without committing, but it loses its luster as she ages and her looks as well as libido diminish, at which point she wishes she had a steady partner to come home to. The problem is when they think men are immune to loneliness and capable of maintaining a swinging bachelor life into old age. A lot of it is wishcasting and revenge fantasy.

People dislike pickup artistry when it promotes treating relationships like a system to be gamed and promotes manipulating women for the sake of hooking up. Someone who resorts to PUA tricks is unlikely to be able to maintain a real relationship when he's no longer "running game." Women don't wear makeup or show cleavage with the intention of tricking men, just enhancing their own looks (and said woman might not even be interested in men in the first place).
/r/PurplePillDebate17/04/26 04:25 PM

It's disingenuous to suggest only women are guilty of this because there's certainly a contingent of men who demean women for being overweight or older. People in general can be mean, especially online when they're pseudo-anonymous and there's a layer of separation that allows them to depersonalize the subject of their ire. Traits perceived as low-status are easy targets.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/04/26 03:28 PM

It happened more when I lived in an urban area. I don't think it's common for women to approach random men.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/04/26 09:45 PM

Yes, because you're picking and choosing. You want women to defy gender roles by asking you out while still conforming to feminine appearance and sexual behavior.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/04/26 03:21 PM

You're the one saying women are obligated to do the same things men do or it's not equality. But just like you're accusing women of "picking and choosing," you don't really want that.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/04/26 02:40 PM

>So where is the equality? Where are all the new aged women shedding rigid gender roles and embracing their 'masculine energy'? Okay, every woman has just gotten a buzzcut and is now wearing work boots. What color strapon do we wear to penetrate our boyfriends, in the interest of equality?
/r/PurplePillDebate09/04/26 02:37 PM

What privilege? Men choose to approach women. It's like giving someone a video game they're not interested in so you can play it, then asking them when they're going to give YOU a present. I think a woman should absolutely approach a man if she's interested in him, but unless her reason for not doing so is explicitly based on gender roles, it has nothing to do with feminism or equality.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/04/26 02:02 PM

But that could only be the case if you treat every action a woman does or doesn't undertake as political. When I fail to approach a man, I'm not thinking, "It's a man's job." I'm just not approaching for personal reasons.

It's only a gender role if women aren't approaching men because they think it's inappropriate for a woman to do so. The reality is women don't approach for the same reasons men do: they're too shy, don't want to be rejected, don't want to put in the effort.

Men and women have the exact same obligation to approach the opposite sex, just as we have the same obligation to perform domestic labor in a partnership. If a woman doesn't have to approach men because she can rely on them approaching her, why would she? Similarly, a man whose wife is perfectly happy doing the bulk of the cooking/cleaning has no reason to start doing it himself. Feminism doesn't necessarily mean we have to stop performing the gender roles we're suited to and comfortable with. M…

But attractiveness wasn't what was being measured. What was being measured was swipes on a dating app. Like I said, you could be visually attractive but a woman could still disqualify you for wanting children when she doesn't, or because you're right-wing and she isn't, etc.

If you were to have a poll on which gender they think has it worse, men are more likely to say men do, and women are more likely to say women do. People are biased and inclined to think of themselves as persecuted, so they'll cherry-pick or handwave away whatever data they need to keep that narrative going. The "male loneliness epidemic" actually refers to men who are socially isolated even from platonic and familial relationships, not just men who are unhappily single. A vocal minority of women exaggerate the potential implications of cold approaching women, but most women really aren't interested in unknown males striking up conversations when we are aware of their ultimate reason for doing so and we prefer to date men in our existing social circles who we're already comfortable with and have informally vetted. The appeal of dark romance to women is the idea of a man who considers you his entire world, has the power and resources needed to make your life easier, and will do whatever it takes to keep you with him. Pornography that involves real people being abused and exploited isn't really the equivalent and I'm not sure what would be. Fantasies about being victimized aren't the same thing as fantasies about victimizing others.

A man's involvement in the reproductive process ends when he ejaculates. A woman's continues for the duration of a pregnancy. You both had the same autonomy to decide if she got pregnant in the first place, but she is the only one who can end her own pregnancy. This isn't an unfair advantage for women.

If men and women collectively switched sex drives, I don't think there's any reason that women wouldn't do most of the initiating and pursuing while men were more passive. It's not laziness, it's just lesser desire and higher selectivity.

Women are usually less interested in pursuing men than men are in pursuing women. Of course the most attractive men were getting messages. But if feminists say that they would believe women just based on their words, we should be allowed to believe that the woman is lying just based on words of the accused man. Since they don't need proof, we shouldnt also need proof. People already do this. If a man says he was falsely accused, plenty of people take him at his word. The position an individual takes will depend on their relationship with the involved parties and personal biases. You mention Amber Heard. A lot of people believed Joh…

Pimps don't make a prostitute charge more. If anything they have her charge less so she gets a higher volume of customer and therefore more money. There are also plenty of independent escorts without pimps. Hiring a prostitute who isn't being exploited will never be a bargain.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/03/26 04:14 AM

If the government is involved, that would just make the state her pimp. Why not just decriminalize it? Why do brothels need to be government-run?
/r/PurplePillDebate07/03/26 04:10 AM

Since most women don't want to have paid sex with a possibly maladjusted stranger, they're drawn to prostitution by flexibility and and compensation higher than whatever other work they're qualified for. If the compensation is low, they're likely disadvantaged in some way: childhood abuse, mental illness, addiction, extreme poverty, or they're just trafficked. So these cheap government brothels would be staffed by the latter. Society's most vulnerable members should not be written off as walking…
/r/PurplePillDebate07/03/26 01:55 AM

Legalizing prostitution already increases human trafficking because the supply of prostitutes isn't enough to keep up with the demand from men. Legalizing it and deliberately making it as cheap as possible would compound the problem even further. >State sponsored pleasure house would benefit both men who either don't want to improve or don't like to play the rat game The state doesn't benefit from men refusing to improve or participate in the rat race, so it won't happen. I think it's a good thing that people are free to leave a relationship that no longer works for them. But I think you're overestimating how widespread the phenomenon you're describing is. Most guys aren't Leo DiCaprio. They're not interested in divorcing their long-term partner because she got older, and the ones who are don't necessarily have that option.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/03/26 03:20 PM

Every other form of fraud requires intent. There is no other form of fraud where the offender is automatically sentenced to twice the length of time the fraud went on. Why should paternity fraud be treated any different? Doctors have duty of care because they're licensed professionals who chose to enter the medical field. Regular people aren't held to the same standard. Just require DNA tests before child support is ordered. Nobody has to go to jail.

Two possibilities: She found you attractive initially, but decided you were incompatible based on the date. She didn't find you attractive initially, but thought that could potentially change during a date, and it didn't.

I've been using the internet since I was 7 years old in 1999. Back in my day, we referred to people who posted ragebait as trolls, and it was understood that you shouldn't feed them. If somebody posted inflammatory shit like "men under 6 feet tall aren't men" the most engagement they'd get is people calling them a dick until a mod logged on and banned them. Nobody was protesting "only men" having the draft duty. Because they are against the draft full stop. The point is to stop forced conscription, not oppress more people in the interest of fairness.

I am completely against cold approaches from strangers. They don't know anything about me except what I look like and at most have a vague idea of my interests or lifestyle. I've seen this study. It defined "single" as not in a committed relationship - they could still be actively dating or having sex. The same researcher did another study where the percentage of men and women who were sexually active was about the same. Women are attracted to personality. They're also attracted to appearance and success. I don't think there's a contradiction. Your whole premise seems to be your bafflement over the fact that some men will fuck unemployed loser women, while women as a whole won't date unemployed loser men. They're role models specifically because they're extraordinary and something to aspire to. Nobody is obligated to pay, but the fact that many men are willing to take on the burden of courting, planning dates, and paying for them means other men have to compete with them, and accept that they might fall behind in the race if they're not willing to do the same thing. Dating isn't supposed to be 100% equitable, not can it be, because men and women are different.
