1	I don't understand why would anyone willingly consent to raising another man's child But Joel also had his own biological daughter who he lost, and it's pretty obvious he ends up using Ellie to fill the void by the end of the game. Otherwise, if you're going to spend a sizable portion of your life raising a child, it might as well be your own (unless you can't have kids).
