Great sub!

I read most of it. It's obvious you're overthinking this. I can tell because I do this too. You agonize over sending the "perfect" text, then suddenly it's three years later and you realize you never texted her. Sending an average text is better than never writing at all. If she's actually somewhat interested, she'll reply. If not, then there's probably no "perfect message" anyway.

This past weekend has me kind of worked up, should I have just made the move? I'm gonna go with yes.

Sending another message really doesn't take much time or effort, even if it tends to feel like it. So you may as well give it your best shot. Who knows? Another message (that doesn't imply you "hate" her) may have gotten a positive feedback.

You have to be attractive enough for them to even check out your bio in the first place.

don't... you will most likely will be rejected. You say that like it's a bad thing. Is getting rejected worse than not even trying? I'd argue not.

So I shouldn't ask out the girl who was interested in me during high school 4 years ago?

I don't see the problem. If she's single she might feel lonely on Valentine's too. A date could be exciting for her.

If I already get a girl to give me her number, I'd rather have it myself so that I don't have to rely on her whims and whether she'd remember to text me.

Cute can seem "nice guy", which women often don't find attractive.

I meant next time you're in a situation like this not with this girl specifically. You might have weirded her out already, but I suppose there's no harm in approaching again as long as you can accept possible rejection.

Say something about her bio. Ask questions. Make a cheesy pun. Pretty much anything you say will be better than "hey" though. Try to pique her interest.

small tips: don't ask a lot of question try to make conversation Are you sure about this? Granted I'm not too great at text game but one thing I did find effective is to ask questions. Just seems a girl is more likely to answer when you're asking her something directly. Otherwise the conversation is likely to die off unless she's very invested already (which isn't likely on Tinder).

These all sound super cheesy. Do they really work?

If she doesn't reply in a couple of days I'd text back. If it doesn't work after that then I'd stop contact.

I'd be afraid she'll never text.

Kind of depends on how you know the girl, but in general, not really weird.

It sounds like you acted really awkward. Just sitting next to a girl you don't know without talking is pretty weird. The physical signs you said you have probably didn't help either (that might have worked in a club but a cafeteria is entirely different). I'd just talk to the girl directly next time.

I know the feeling. I'm afraid of success. I have no idea what I'll do if I'll actually succeed for once. Rejection is simple, you stop and move on. I find I self-sabotage sometimes. I'm actually more likely to pick on girls I feel I have no chance with (and I'm not just talking about attractiveness but personality-wise as well).

The first time I asked a girl for her number she smiled and was happy to give it to me. The next few times I trued I was rejected but still felt good about trying. But I'm still afraid of approaching more often.

It's a cool line but the word "heavy" has the potential to be misunderstood.

I'd personally wait a day before messaging again, just to presumably give her a chance to see the first message.

It could be many things, maybe she really didn't like your joke (honestly I didn't either), or maybe she didn't even see your message (hot girls can get literally hundreds of matches), maybe she's just using Tinder for self-validation to see how many matches she can get, and not because she actually wants to meet anyone. It could be all that and more, obviously I'm not a mind reader and cannot know why she actually ignored you. I wouldn't get to hang up about her though, I'd message her once or …

Yeah probably, they kind of slightly elevate it from regular small talk to very subtle flirting. I find I am pretty good at regular small talk but flirting is hard.

I pretty much always ask the first 3 questions too. Never thought to ask the last two though!

It wasn't clear. It still isn't even after reading again. I have no estimate of how many times you actually tried. I only got rejected about 4 times as well but actually asked girls out only 6 times, so that's a high failure rate. I have a feeling if I tried more I'd get rejected just as much but will still have more success because it's a numbers game (I'd ask out more girls but it's not often I meet someone that feels right).
/r/seduction19/07/18 12:16 PM

Is this because you usually don't get rejected or because you haven't actually done it that much?

That's impressive. If she's an Instagram model she must receive dozens or even hundreds of messages a day, yet she still paid attention to you. I find it hard to believe you're ugly, but I dunno. Anyway don't let me get you down, good luck!

Yeah OK. I was missing the word "promoters" because I didn't know what they were called in English.

It's not a joke, many parties hire people just to spread the word.

Despite my name I can't really help you. Everywhere is different so I can't guess how people find parties in your area. You just have to befriend the right people (easier said than done I know), maybe try social media as well.

Not only do I go on inexpensive dates a lot, but the woman pays for me more often than not. I can understand splitting 50/50, but why would a woman pay for you?
/r/seduction15/07/18 12:21 AM

Parties often have people whose role is to spread the word. You just need to find those people.

Thanks this sounds genuinely helpful! I'll really try to keep all this in mind... After reading this it seems dumb to not just try to approach someone I like the look of. I think I could make some small talk (though I don't know how loud the party will be). On the dance floor though it seems there's no place for talking, which is why I find myself just dancing near...

Haha I'm not trying to be a "vagina slayer" or whatever, but I think it's reasonable that I could end up kissing someone in the party if I sorta know how to approach it (which I don't really). And then there's always the chance to get lucky but I'm not counting on it. Honestly even if nothing happens I think I'd consider it a good night if I get to have some laughs with the people there, but even that is not something that I'm sure would happen. I couldn't find a friend that can go with me. But …
