I had an ex who went to the doctor's office more times in the 3 years we were together than I had ever gone to the doctor in my entire 24 year old (at the time we broke up) life. To this date, other than growing up and child checkups/vaccinations when I was younger, I can count on one hand how many times I've been to the doctor. Not because I don't want to pay but because I never needed to do much else other than seldomly self-medicate from Walgreens/CVS and a day or two off.

Thank fuck I joined the Marines and went to MCRD San Diego (all men, women only went to Parris Island). This was exactly what happened. We had our squad leaders and then our guide. Out of a platoon of 120 (we had a HUGE rotation), we went through 20 squad leaders and 5 guides the first phase (roughly 4 weeks) before everyone settled into the hierarchy.
