After only 1-2 Weeks my experiance is limited but I have the same strange warming afterglow which actually lasts for several hours. Well, not really the feeling itself lasts so long but a kind of memory of the feeling. I do the washing warm and switch to cold afterwards. Also the difference in temperature might have a good effect for circulation. However, by now I tested both, full time cold and 'James Bond', starting cold is harder. The feeling afterwards is more or less the same. From my expericance you need at least 20 seconds to get the 'feel good' effect.
