What makes you think that?

Vaccinating near-zero risk folks was partially done to slow down the spread of covid which made things safer for people who actually were vulnerable to it (though I don't fully support mandatory vaccines, but that's a whole other conversation). Also when it comes to MGM parents still blindly go along with it, they haven't learned anything.

What's there to discuss about homosexuality? It exists and it's natural - there's not much else to it.
/r/MensRights18/07/25 06:56 PM

My stance on homosexuality is unchanged for 30 years, because there’s been nothing to change it.. Not sure what that's supposed to mean.

Don't know if I agree that being hated is the #1. Being seen as lesser or worthless altogether, perhaps?

Homophobia is alive and kicking, let's not kid ourselves.

Gay men still face some anti-male demonization Often enough that is coming from other gay men. Both homo and bi men have a huge bias towards women who they cheer on for the most mundane things while looking down on men. Not all of them, but far too many. There is a shockingly low amount of love for men to be found among them.

LGBT ‘hate’ of males...is fully recognised, acknowledged, addressed and dealt with by their advocacy groups Those advocacy groups themselves are sometimes filled to the brim with misandry (and sexism in general). Trust me or not when I say "I know". Society's hateful rhetoric is directed at heterosexual men, predominantly That might be true. People who trash talk hetero men are trash talking 99% of all men, so yeah that is very misandrist. As someone who is not hetero I try to call folks out on …

If you are a man you are bad. If you are more masculine bad. People will blame and shame you for being a man. They will also blame and shame you for not being man enough. People really are just obsessed with hating men. It's no surprise though if you look at the media landscape of the past 10-15 years in particular. It's all been about running boys and men into the ground and continues to be like that. I mean right now one of the most popular movies, K-Pop Demonhunters, is about a group of heroe…

men choose to side with women, whether they are right or wrong Men will stand up for women's rights but refuse to do the same for men. It is frustrating beyond belief.

Why don't the "not bad ones" ever speak up? We've been told over and over again that it's "not all feminists" who are misandrist yet we never actually get to see this supposed majority of feminists who are good. I believe folks today would call that "gaslighting".

"teaching men to be empathetic" Men are speaking up for women and participating in their marches all the time. You don't ever see women do the same for men. What everybody needs to be taught is having empathy for boys and men.

how many issues can be caused by having a foreskin None.
/r/MensRights17/07/25 02:33 PM

he idea behind it seems more innocent and sincere There is nothing innocent about trapping a baby boy and cutting off pieces of his body.
/r/MensRights17/07/25 02:30 PM
4

You are spewing lies. Everything you said is completely wrong. Source: I have been living with foreskin my entire life. Cleaning it takes about 3 seconds while in the shower. There are literally no issues. Countries like China have hundreds of millions of men with foreskin and they're all doing fine. Anyone who claims not to know better is delusional and just wants to push away responsiblity for being complicit in the mutliation of boys' genitals.
/r/MensRights17/07/25 02:27 PM
5

Why are parents so quick to believe that the male body is wrong by default and needs to be fixed by cutting off pieces? That's just crazy.
/r/MensRights17/07/25 02:23 PM
6

who are saying genital mutilation isn't that big of a deal Because this is about male bodies. After all they are not seen as worthy of protection and empathy. What's even more upsetting is the amount of men who go along with this - where are the fathers standing up for their sons' body autonomy?
/r/MensRights17/07/25 02:21 PM
5

Were they really? Or did they just go along with it because you were a boy and therefore your body autonomy and condition is not being viewed as important?
/r/MensRights17/07/25 02:16 PM

Then these parents are useless. You have one job and that is to fight tooth and nail at any time to protect your children. In this instance all that is needed is them saying "No!" and sticking with it and yet they fail to even do that. We all know they would stand their ground if it was about girls instead of boys. Vile and evil.

not able to will ourselves free of the sex drive I never claimed that we can. Sure you can make choices Exactly. asking why cant all men just basically ignore sex No, I'm not asking that. What I am asking for is men taking accountability for their actions and stop using biology/sex drive as a scapegoat for all the bad decision they are making when it comes to women. bla bla Why are you acting tough? In this sub out of all places. There's noone here who you need to impress. *sigh*

Movies, Book and TV Shows are not created by nature; the long-lasting mindet of "men live to serve women" has been hammered into people's brains using every venue of media that exists. This is by design and not simply the fault of the male brain. Stop framing men as machines who are incapable of making personal decisions. If you subject yourself to the will of everyone else that's your choice. But not every man is making that same choice.
/r/MensRights10/07/25 10:29 PM
-2

So many words to explain that you refuse to take accountability for your own actions. Men could stop simping for women if only they would choose to do that. It's very disheartening seeing how men keep systemic misandry alive through their own actions (and also inaction) and engage in mental gymnastics to reject any personal accountability. "It's just my nature bro, I can't help it!" Enough with the excuses, please.
/r/MensRights10/07/25 10:26 PM

Why can't men be the revolution instead of waiting for sexbots to do it for them? *facepalm*
/r/MensRights10/07/25 10:22 PM
-16

That's a very passive way of looking at the problems: "I'll just wait until the world around me changes so that I won't have to." What about personal responsibility?
/r/MensRights10/07/25 10:21 PM

Society is failing boys and men, not the other way around. But they keep refusing to acknowledge that and instead double down on misandry. It all seems so hopeless.
/r/MensRights07/07/25 11:49 PM

Men seem to want gender equality But only if it supports women; whenever someone brings up systematic misandry suddenly the same men will mock & insult and have no compassion for themselves and each other. Insults and shaming are their weapons that's why a 'real man' Interesting how people will insult men for being men but also insult them for not being man enough. People really will delude themselves to no end to find excuses to hate men.

Unfortunately men have done a lot to earn that reputation of being "unreasonably horny". I very much dislike this stereotype and how it gets constantly repeated throughout media. But I would be lying if I said I had no idea where that stereotype comes from. It's the sad truth; men really need to improve when it comes to managing their sex drive.

I wasn't talking about your choices in particular since I literally do not know you. I am aware of the power of instincts and hormones and the fallacies of the human brain, but still: I refuse to let men run wild with this "I'm a slave to women against my will because NaTurE" defense. You can choose dignity and self-preservation or not - but it is a choice that's entirely up to you.

They programmed us, in the womb. That is ... not how that works. They KNOW that they can use our sex drive to control us Only if you let your actions be directed by it. Men are not some mindless sex machines who magically lose the ability to make rational decisions. Stop using nature/biology as a scapegoat for your bad choices.
/r/MensRights05/07/25 06:29 AM

Because men often times do shut up for fear of being labelled a certain way by the court of public opinion. Which is now wielding more power than ever due to social media and virtually instant traversal of news all around the country. As long as men keep backing down this is not going to change.

whereas females evolved to be more aesthetically pleasing That is not true. The female body developed differently from the male body due to the possiblity/necessity of pregnancy. There is hardly anything natural about today's beauty standards for women: fake face due to make up, fake body shape due to high heels, fake hair due to products like hair dye and tools like straighteners. All these things have been made up by society to be "pretty". So the way we view the bodies of the sexes has been m…

They only have as much power over you as you are giving them. Men need to stop framing women as some supernatural creatures with psychic abilities. The reality of the situation is that too many men are too weak willed and that is something that needs to change.
/r/MensRights02/07/25 05:37 PM

Well, for virtually all of human history beauty has been associated with feminity. That is now, however, changing - movie/TV producers have woken up to the fact that there is an audience for male bodies being displayed. Netflix in particular is often times using the attractive male characters to advertise their stuff. It definetely would be nice if men stopped being all weird about men's bodies. Pretending to be disgusted whenever a half-naked male character appears on screen, for example. Or th…

At this point I'm pretty much tired of hearing about masculinity. In the end it's just gender role rubbish that's actively being used to police men's behaviour. Blame & shame them enough in an attempt to get them to do your bidding for fear of consequences (bullying, harassment, exclusion). If people actually cared about boys/men they would talk about all the issues that they specifically are facing (court injustices, physical/sexual violence not being taken seriously, discrimination at the hand…

Then why are they not talking about things like MGM, the draft and lack of funding for men's issues? Instead they complain about video game characters not being attractive enough and lack of nudity in anime and other nonsense.
/r/MensRights02/07/25 02:48 PM

That double standard makes litteraly no sense. Unborn children can be human or totally not human, depending how the mother feels about it. It's another example of the law - and society - bending over backwards to acommodate women, even if they make/made terrible decicisons that have grave consequences for other people.

To be fair it gets reapeated over and over in pretty much all of media that we consume. But yeah, it is very frustating seeing adults not being able to acknowledge reality and instead keep believing what they've been told their whole life without questioning it.

This is also why stasticially gay women apprear more likely to be an abusive partner, even though they are not more violent than hetero women: it's just that their victims are other women instead of men so these abusive women actually get viewed as abusers, unlike hetero women who abuse men.

1) Female priviledge. Everyone is raised to care about girls & women and only them. 2) Men are being groomed not to get too close with other men. People will say it's natural that they view each other as nothing more than competition but that's not true. In the past, everyone said that it's natural for women wanting to be stay-at-home moms caring for children. And many women did so. Then the message changed to what it is today: it is entirely up to women to choose whether they want to care for k…

I used to quite like him but his video on Star Wars The Last Jedi really made me scratch my head. It was uncharacteristically irrational and defensive. Turns out he's one of those men who understands that misandry is real but somehow always ends up massively downplaying it and at the conclusion that ultimately misogyny is behind everything. Disappointing.

In both Riverdale & 13 Reasons Why there are scenes where girls run into the boy's locker room. The boys then hastily try to cover themselves up with embarassed faces while the girls are having a chat with one of them that apprently could not wait until he was fully dressed. What really stands out is the way its framed: we are supposed to be amused by the boys' embarassment and the girls ""tough"" attitude of not caring about being inappropriate. Because being a terrible human being is a sign of…

Way too many men do behave like that and even seem to enjoy it. I assume it gives them some kind of validation of their "manhood". They seriously need to stop acting like fools for women's approval all the time and take themselves - and men in general - more seriously.
/r/MensRights30/06/25 03:55 PM

But it also reveals that if that were actually the championing opinion, we should have seen a lot more healthy interaction from women, There is no shortage of women saying the most horrible things about men. But what's equally concerning is the deafening silence from all the other women. You see misandry everywhere but never any woman speaking up against it. Why is that?

Women are now more misandrist than ever and it's not due to "thEiR nAtUrE". It's all of media actively pushing these thoughts on women from when they're still young girls. This is by design.

People started inserting misogyny in conversations that have literally nothing to do with women: for example homo men get accused of mysogyny and femmephobia for not being interested in dating effeminate men who try to look and sound like women.

After over a decade of wielding the "woman card" as a trumps-all weapon&shield many women simply are unable to engage in actual discussion. Like muscles deteriorate if you stop using them their debate skills have vanished because they did not need to use them. Why argue in a rational manner if you can simply cry "Misogyny!" instead and have everyone clap for you like trained seals?

I see your point about men disguising themselves as feminists to attract women. That's how I used to view it in the past. In recent years though I started more and more to believe that these men actually support the hateful ideology they are spouting. Internalized misandry is ravaging men everywhere after being groomed their whole lives that they are bad for being born men and also they need to attone for anything bad that was done by men in the past.

From what I see online women are much more obsessed with other women. They don't see the average men as being worthy of ... anything, really. Just like the staff of a hotel: they're supposed to do all the work but make sure to be seen by the guests as little as possible. The average woman seems to be fully unaware that men are providing virtually everything that they depend on. “The female brain isn’t even quite half developed, the part of the brain that regulates emotion. That kind of talks sense into this. I have a few thoughts on this: 1) How are parents going along with their newborn baby getting their genitals partially cut off? Any type of language that ties certain characteristics to a specific gender is bound to be sexist. "Man up", "Have some B..." etc all are phrases that are 1) misogynistic by excluding women from being brave and heroic 2) are constantly used to police men's behaviour. It's upsetting how often in TV shows and movies men get physically assaulted and it's being portrayed as a way of "teaching men how to behave". Females make up 50% of the population so where are males supposed to go to stay away from them? That's virtually impossible. Additionally, even if men would leave women alone and make them feel lonely - that's not going to undo misandrist laws and sensibilities. Only actively working towards change will create the necessary change.

Women have been groomed to hate men for over a decade now in all of popculture and media. If you are looking for emotional support and affection you might have more look getting that from other men. Although men obliviously are raised consuming mostly the same media so they overwhelmingly(?) support radical feminism. Virtually everyone who doesn't actively work to not be a misandrist is a misandrist - because it has become the default.

I had a violent boy in glass when I was a kid. He threatened to beat me up and I told my teacher about it. Her answer: you boys need to figure that out on your own. I was around 7 at that time. Girls/women throughout their life never get educated about making boys/men feel uncomfortable or unsafe. It's basically an alien concept to them that they could be an aggressor/perpetrator and not just a victim.

Unfortunately it doesn't seem like large swaths of men are holding politicians and activists accountable. Most men will defend the status quo and radical feminism because their whole life they've been told that this is the right thing to do.

I agree with you but there is no need for using slurs. Fighting misandry with misogyny is never going to work (besides it being ethically wrong, of course).

Basically it is a made up set of rules that boys and men are expected to follow. If you refuse to do so society will punish you for it. Standing up to it is difficult but is is the right thing to do. These rules do not exist to help you; they exist to keep you in line.

That is because men are not seen as people but as public ressources. Everyone can take from them whatever they want; after all they only exist to "provide".

Men seriously need to stop centering women in their lives. There is a whole other half of the population out there that you can be friends with and connect on an emotional level.

discussions about male issues are increasingly common now, even more mainstream. I do not see that at all. And whenever one of those discussions does happen, it always ends with "men = bad". Anti-male stances are mainstream and fully baked into our political systems and people's conscience.

Capitalism will chew and spit out anyone who's not participating in it That is true. The difference between men and women under capitalism is that the latter can fulfill their assigment by giving birth to a few children. After that noone bothers to ask her "When are you going to have child no. 4, 5 and 6?" With men it is never enough. There is always the expectation/demand for him to contribute more, work more, sacrifice more - as long as he has not given everything he has not given enough. That…

I saw an online discussion yesterday where people talked about heightism and how it factors into how much value females see in a male. Nobody blamed the females for having these mandatory height standards. Instead they came to the conclusion that females are simply victims of social media normalizing this type of thinking. So even when females are discriminating against males somehow it is not their fault, instead they are made out to be the victims.

It is almost like the system is specifically designed for men not to win. Men are always at fault even if they are the victims. No other group of people gets victimblamed the amount that men do.

The problem is that even if you do not care what people think, the way they see you influences their actions and how they treat you. These things often times simply can not be ignored, unfortunately. It is difficult.

The truth is: the biggest obstacle to overcome in the pursuit in equality for men - is men. There is absolutely no shortage of men who perpetrate misandrist stereotypes (and seem to even rejoice in it) for the approval of women. Men tend to care way more about women than men; 1) because that is what they are being told their entire life by all media, politicans and people around them 2) because they care way too much about getting sex (which is also something that they are being told to do)

They are in for a very rude awakening the way they keep importing Islam into their country. It will be radical Feminism vs Islam and muslims are not known for pulling their punches (or respecting laws, common sense and basic human decency). It is like watching a video of a nuclear reactor epxloding in slow motion.

The whole spiel about "toughness" is total non sense. Men are human beings and therefore have as much right to feel emotions as women. Anyone who says men need to be stoic, strong, fearless, confident, dominant et cetera is sexist. These men on the internet with their programs for men to be better are all grifters who are exploiting men's disadvantages and suffering for their own financial gain. Anytime I heard on of these alpha males speak it is pretty much all about insulting men, calling them…

Republicans do NOT care about men. They are trying to start wars all over the globe - who do you think they are going to send to fight and die? Because it's not going to be women.

Millions of boys and men getting abused by society and the system on a daily basis: nothing happens. One girl in a fictional TV show gets murdered: it sparks a national conversation. What do you even make of that...

Men's bodies belong to everyone else but themselves. They are meatshields who are supposed to take the hits in conflict so that others (=women) won't have to, they are the tools being used for back breaking and dangerous work that leaves them damaged and crippled so that others (=women) won't have to do said work. If you imagine the whole of humanity as a car then women are seen as the internal parts that need to be protected at all costs and men are seen as the bumpers, their whole existence ev…
