If a Kennedy goes for a Marilyn, it's in order to use her for sex while being happily married to a Jackie It's exhausting listening to people here constantly try to argue with common sense. We aren't scholars. It's unlikely you just stumbled upon some ground-breaking truth and the rest of the world is wrong. I urge you to consider the reality that both Marilynn and Jackie were both beautiful, high-value women. It's a simple calculus: JFK slept with both of them because he could; he remained marr…

Well she's rationalizing on behalf of a stranger who literally broke her husband's heart so I'd say her reaction is pretty biased. Women's knee jerk reaction is often to defend other women. Case in point: You just advocated for the ex-wife despite not knowing anything about her. Instead of trusting OP's firsthand accounts of the interaction with a woman he's likely known for years, you went with your intuition which is biased in favor of women.

Name one celebrity chick that most guys find hot who looks as godawful as Post Malone. His point is that male attraction is more concrete/resistant to peer pressure and mob mentality.

Lmao. I read your comment and I definitely agree with YOU. So I think it’s safe to say we are on the same page.

Read the thread carefully. Someone referenced a study where men and women were shown pictures and asked to rate them. The women found only a small portion of the pictures attractive. Siukslinis_acc is saying this discrepancy is consequence of women being “less impressed by still images.“ Ironically, this statment is actually more trivial, baseless, and presumptive than any of the opinions expressed in OP’s post. I’m pointing out the hypocrisy in their thinking.

I said it is more stable. You've only been able to muster ONE phenomenon in which it is not. men select a chaste mate then fall apart when she doesn’t morph into his personal kinky porn star after marriage and kids. Also, this is the opposite of the Madonna/Whore complex... The Madonna/Whore complex describes the tendency of men to view partners as either "sanctimonious" or "whorish". In the case you provided, the man chose a sexually conservative partner and somehow also still expected her to…

Or... it could be that women are less impressed by still images. You're implying that women's brains are arbitrarily less receptive to motionless pictures than men? This is more sexist and strange than anything OP has said.

Women are specifically a "hivemind" when it comes to dating and selecting a mate. Men's attraction is more concrete, stable, and predictable. As such, attracting a man is quite simple for women. Whereas, attracting a women is more elusive for men.

It blows my mind that this is what passes for a “good“ argument. Explain milf porn Easy. It’s porn… I’m not going to ask out older women just because I‘ve jerked off to one. That’s idiotic.

What is considered attractive is established by the opposite gender (barring lgbtq couplings). Moreover, literally the definition of “sexual attractiveness” is the quality of ‘attracting’ sexual attention. If you are heterosexual and you are not appealing to the opposite gender, then you are NOT sexually attractive. You can’t be “beautiful” in a vacuum. It makes literally no sense. You‘d need a straight man/men to confirm your attractiveness. The fact of the matter is determining a straight wome…

male attention isn’t validating tbh That is absolute bullshit. I’ve seen women jump through hoops for an attractive guy’s attention/love. I’ve experienced it first hand. People want attention from the opposite sex. Full stop. I can’t believe I have to explain that. I don’t know if it’s pride or ego or whatever, but the women here need to stop pretending like they could care less about validation. It’s a basic human need. You aren’t fooling anyone.

You’re backpedaling. You weren’t arguing that it would hypocritical to ban certain sexist subs and not others. You explicitly said the “being misandrist“ was a “dumb reason” to be banned. That is a pathetic, femcel, morally bankrupt way to think. Spreading racist, sexist, etc. ideas is inherently harmful. You shouldn’t need to be literally hurting people to warrant a ban.

I don't need to be a man to understand this, do men need to be women before they make their generalizations about us? Trying to turn this into some kind of contest is embarrassing. You’re wrong. Simple. Men enjoy sex for sex sake. Men forgo easy sex with prostitutes because it is looked down upon and dangerous even if it’s legal. Prostitution has had a social stigma that has persisted throughout all of history. It doesn’t matter if it’s “legal.” Also, you are still at risk for STD’s and the like…

You realize that men are stronger, faster, and basically better/more efficient than women in almost every way? Society “cares” about whoever is more productive. Hence why practically everyone in power has a penis. If you removed 60% of women, the world would recover. If you removed 60% of men, the world would end overnight. They idea that women are somehow “special“ or the “key to life” is a female power fantasy.

You’re creating a straw man. OP’s assertion is that women are often more passive than men when it comes to dating. This is common sense. Men as the “pursuer” and women as the “pursued” is a paradigm that has existed for literally thousands of years. You’re trying to twist his words into something bigoted, when all he did was speak the truth. If you don’t agree with someone, then provide a counter argument. Trying to paint them as a literal villain because you don’t agree with them is pathetic.

That’s ridiculous. If your late for work and skip breakfast, it doesn’t mean you aren’t hungry. It means you just value your job more. In OP’s case, the woman valued her friend‘s opinion of her more than fucking a guy she clearly really liked. It‘s a testament to her fear of judgment not a reflection of how much she liked OP.

Most often it means that the woman you thought was into you really wasn't and her friend was helping her out. If she was into you, she'd stop her friend from doing it. This is so false it makes my head spin. I’m assuming you are a women so I understand why you may be ignorant about this aspect of asking out/flirting with women. The women’s interest is hardly a factor to an overzealous, drunk friend. Also, she’s inclined to NOT resist her friend too obviously lest she be labeled a slut.

I think men are more likely to have developed a good sense of humor, friendly disposition, confidence, and self awareness because of their lack of attention. Basically a personality. I think this comes way to late in life for women. Girls in their 20s have the WORST personalities because they can get away with it. But the most laid back, humble women are usually older. Something about no longer being untouchable and free of accountability tends to mellow a person out.

Dude, being white is the most advantageous racial demographic in general. For this reason, it’s a bit inaccurate to say women are more attracted to white men. They’re subconsciously attracted to the social benefits of being white not necessarily the “whiteness”. popular, handsome, and/or white status I think this is what people are confused about. Because an Indian doctor can FOR SURE get laid over white guy who works 9-5.

You’re right that OLD isn’t worth it for most guys, but your criteria are wrong. Popularity and race are not as important as you’re making it out to be. Poc’s can get away with just their looks if they work with what they have. Girls will lie and say they don’t date black guys, only to go to bed with Tyrone because he’s tall, has a deep voice, and has game.

Yeah, exactly. This is what I was trying to hint at. Men don’t dislike promiscuity because we hate women or that were jealous. Promiscuity is a pattern of behavior that is often indicative of a value system and disposition that is incompatible with monogamous relationships. In the case of K (her friend) it was directly tied to insecurity, ego, and a lack of self control. I hope K is doing better now, but it is undeniable that her sexuality in the past was NOT healthy. I’d say the vast majority are below average on OLD Saying the “vast majority” of ANY population is “below average” is always going to be an erroneous statement. It makes no sense statistically. If women in real life (outside of OLD) found average to above average men attractive, then that dynamic would be reflected in OLD: they are still women just in an online space. To be honest, R got shafted here a little bit. K (your friend) ended up with an average man who is polite, calm, employed, and loves her. R ended up with an average women who was promiscuous, definitely has insecurity, and wasn’t initially attracted to him. To be fair, he may not even care about the promiscuity, but your friend isn’t most men’s ideal woman.

They aren’t “more attracted“ to these average women. That makes literally zero sense. That’s like saying a Ferrari is ugly and slow because more people own Honda Civics. That’s ridiculous. Ferraris aren’t perfect or even necessarily practical. However they are undeniably beautiful, luxurious, and fast. There’s a reason why almost anyone who CAN have one WILL have one. It‘s very simple. Women want the comfort of being chased and desired, but they can‘t deny their raw attraction to high value men. Intellectually they understand that being pursued is the most practical role, but they all want the most attractive guy they can find. The dilemma is that such a man doesn’t have to chase them. This is the source of their contempt.

Exactly. Humans need companionship even if it is inconvenient. I sincerely believe these “happy” single women are not being entirely genuine. Empirical evidence and common sense. It takes more than being an attractive man to arouse a women.
