Agreed... in high school, if dudes had a problem with each other, they'd throw some words at each other and maybe some fists if it really came down to it, but they were fine after a few days and cool with each other. We're all still best friends and try to see each other whenever we can, and we graduated nine years ago. The few girls I still keep in contact with from school still hold grudges and talk shit about the girls they didn't like back then. Recently had lunch with an old friend, and she…

Yes, it is. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gender_differences_in_suicide Check the sources at the bottom of the page. Women attempt suicide more often than men, but men are more successful at it... as usual.

The way you worded you post made it seem like we shouldn't be punishing false accusers falsely, because you empathize with real rape victims. Maybe you should work on that.

It's really, really easy to say "just report it to the best of your ability and seek the help you need". It's also really easy to say "don't rape anyone" and "don't lie". But people don't follow those, either! And it's your own problem if you rape someone or if you fail to report getting raped. We can empathize as much as we want, it doesn't really fix anything. The onus is on you to not rape anyone, and it's on the person who was raped to report it. Without those two rules, nothing really matte…

I'm glad you're trying to empathize, but empathy has nothing to do with this situation. You jail false accusers and rapists alike; if you were actually raped, then go to the police and report it as soon as possible. If you're sitting there irrationally worrying about getting in trouble for getting raped, then you're just compounding the problem for yourself and this issue as a whole.

I wouldn't doubt it.. went walking through my local college campus recent, and there's signs plastered everywhere about how women can't consent to anything when they're drunk, and it's the drunk man's duty to baby her and protect her from herself, or you're going to jail for rape. Shit is rage inducing.

So, you're saying we shouldn't fairly punish and jail those who pretend to be victims of rape and ruin the lives of their "accused," because "real" rape victims are scared about getting in the same kind of trouble? If you're a real victim, then you shouldn't have anything to worry about, and we sure as shit shouldn't be letting fake rape victims off easy. To use your own argument against you, if we let fake rape victims off easy, then more and more women are going to report fake rapes and ruin t…

You're assuming it's the owner who is doing this, not some random employee that has access to the Facebook account. Other than the movie not working, you have zero context here.

Don't pay attention to them, they're trying to make it about mansplaining.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
