It's also really easy to say "don't rape anyone" and "don't lie". But people don't follow those, either! And it's your own problem if you rape someone or if you fail to report getting raped. We can empathize as much as we want, it doesn't really fix anything. The onus is on you to not rape anyone, and it's on the person who was raped to report it.
