I also have noticed that movies made more recently often focus on a beta protagonist where as old movies had a protagonist that was usually alpha as fuck. This isn't always the case, but guys like Jonah hill and Michael Cera most likely would not have been stars in the days when guys like Steve McQueen and John Wayne ran the show. I'm not sure if this is because it is more relatable/ appeals to beta dudes or because of a blue pill agenda pushed in modern society.
