I don’t have a violent charge and I am a man. You as a woman do. So therefore, women are violent. I’m using your flawed logic here if that wasn’t apparent to you.

You’re projecting. I hope you do some work to figure out why. Cheers

That’s the path I am seeking tbh. I feel it’s the best path for me. Marry a mid late 20s woman at around 40, have kids at 45.

I’m surely leaving out details as we have a very long history. She has seen me in an abusive relationship and helped me navigate my way out of it. I wasn’t really offended by her comment because I feel like she was simply alluding to the cultural conditioning, rather than directly calling me a creepy man. We moved on to more specific and pressing things and I didn’t linger on the comment. I simply noted it and remembered while looking back.

Most men are living lives of quiet desperation. It’s not an understatement to say that this would help change the world

That's kind of a reach though. I'm a straight white male and I fall into at least two of those buckets. I'm sure there's much better examples of the "man hating" liberal mentality out there.

She’s likely abusive herself and projecting. My ex wife was very abusive and manipulative. We went thru 4 marriage counselors and she fired every single one of them within the first 1/2 sessions stating they were unqualified. Zero accountability on her part. She was a degreed behavioral therapist. Never seen evil like I did looking into those eyes when she was on a tirade.

I met a guy recently who openly referred to himself as the “mama” for these webcam / Instagram model chicks. He bragged and bragged about being a professional simp for them - adhering to all their bullshit helpless requests my Although he claimed he was getting paid, I can’t think of many worse jobs.

Would love to read a follow up now 4 years later. I’m in my early 30s myself and considering Austin as a place to move from the sleepy city I live in now

Ok this is gold right here. Question about the friendship piece: I’m at point in my life ( 32. Divorced ) that for whatever reason I don’t have many friends. I’m a somewhat social and likable guy, but don’t really see the point in going out to the bars etc. I don’t want to seek friendship just for the point of seeking it - I’ve tried that with joining a social sports league and didn’t like any of the other guys because they were all younger, immature, and frankly didn’t project much masculinity.…

Exactly. Own it and girl A will come sprinting to you. And if she doesn’t, there’s about a billion others.

Vetting is so hard. Give yourself some grace. I married a BPD chick and am still finding out shit she lied to me about (having herpes, being extremely in debt etc etc ). There’s no way I could have known

How do you know if your underpaid if you have a pretty obscure/ unprecedented role in a very large company? Serious question.

I could see this going either way. On one hand it’s assertive and basically shows I don’t care what else she’s got going on with this “new relationship”, I just know what the sleeve. On another it could look like I’m pushy and maybe even a little desperate

Thanks. Sometimes I feel like encouragement gets beat down in this community, but that is very helpful and I appreciate it

Yea you’re right I interpreted dropping plates as not putting enough time/energy into one plate to keep it spinning indefinitely, but yea I was the one who got “dropped” in the sense that she decided to move on. Ngl I do feel a bit rejected but I’m more concerned with ending up inside my other plate later this week anyways

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
