My way of dealing with it, because it is a woman's worst fear, absolutely terrifying, is to accept it. I have almost no value now (late 40s) and will soon be worthless. My grandmother raised me to understand that a woman's looks are the value she has. I accept that we lose our value. The key is to plan for it. Have savings, have your own friends. Have a hobby if your husband allows it, and maybe try to do it when he's asleep if he doesn't and don't feel guilty about it. I don't have many friends…

I wasn't physically attracted to him at first. It was more that he was so kind and interested in a real relationship. I don't know where to meet people, have few remaining friends, and he's the only guy I met who wanted a relationship and not a hookup.

I don't have much of a social circle since my Mom passed relatively recently and thanks to lockdown and then some severe depression, I have really only been socializing for a year. I was once very social, hence the ho phase, but lost most of my own-age friends over the years - they married and I couldn't really leave the house except to work since Mom needed 24/7. Most of my current friends are women Mom's age and they have sons but think I'm not good enough for them so that is a dead end. I hea…

So maybe he is an avoidant and I'm anxious? And he's maybe consciously or not, playing on my anxiety by going hot and cold.

I don't get it. There is a lot to be said for someone being this nice. Maybe he's not successful, but to me, this is worth more

Exactly. He committed quickly and meets my standard of non-abusive and employed. He's also incredibly nice. I'll give you an example - he ate my lunch, and when I asked him non-naggingly, "did you see my lunch?" he JUMPED UP and said sorry and MADE ME LUNCH. What man does that? He didn't get mad that I asked, didn't throw my weight in my face, even said sorry. Like I'm not going to find that.

He's super-kind to me. Always emotionally supportive and loving and I enjoy being around him so much. He's also the first man ever to want to marry me, so I don't want to risk losing him.

It was more than 3, and you can't stop carrying it around because you can't undo it. Being unattractive (fat) and promiscuous are so bad I think even a felon would turn his nose up at me

Oh he is an alcoholic, he admits that. But I'm a fat ho, so...

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
