I Hate that She Put me Here: Dating in 2026 is HorrendousExactly the same rate of success as other relationships, actually | /r/Divorce_Men | 16/05/26 04:29 PM
I Hate that She Put me Here: Dating in 2026 is Horrendous37M, divorced, had exactly the same frustrations when initially going on the apps. Eventually went on an international dating app just to get some positive attention, now stumbled into a long-distance relationship that's going pretty well | /r/Divorce_Men | 15/05/26 02:09 PM
Give yourself time to heal . Dont rushIt's not available in Europe though. | /r/Divorce_Men | 17/01/26 08:56 AM
Divorcing because of infidelity. But why do I forget that?It may sound counterintuitive, but I think if you hope for reconciliation somewhere down the line, you must avoid all contact now. Only if you become unavailable to her, can she realize what she has lost by her actions | /r/Divorce_Men | 16/01/26 10:54 AM
Why can't these crazy binches that want the excitement of a thousand strange dicks just stay single? Anyone? Anyone? Bueller? She doesn't even know herself. Like an animal following instincts. | /r/Divorce_Men | 15/01/26 11:37 PM
My storyExactly right. I wish I had known this, I would have been less trusting and would have saved myself a lot of pain. | /r/Divorce_Men | 15/01/26 11:34 PM
My storyI hate to say this but are there any thoughts that she might have someone else already? It sounds too similar to my own situation. I think it'll be better to find out now, than later down the line | /r/Divorce_Men | 15/01/26 06:39 PM
What are your distractions? Thanks for sharing. It'll take time for sure. Right now I need more ways to keep myself busy, I really don't want to spend the whole day sulking. I kinda have the opposite feeling about gaming, I definitely gamed too much when we were still together. It's too easy of a way to make hours and hours go by, I think I've been addicted various times. I'm afraid to repeat that pattern right now, so I'm trying to do other things | /r/Divorce_Men | 15/01/26 06:31 PM
What are your distractions?Setting some goals sounds good. Right now I do body-weight exercises and have some barbells at home, I'm considering joining a gym in the near future. Also want to work on my cooking as a way to be healthier | /r/Divorce_Men | 15/01/26 06:27 PM
What are your distractions?I am in therapy, I think it is helpful. I hear you about alcohol, I'm well aware it can fuck with my mind, as well as make the next day more difficult. I'm not sure yet about dating. Right now it's too early for anything, but just the idea that other women exist, might be into me and might have the potential for something greater than I had with my ex, is what's keeping me somewhat sane | /r/Divorce_Men | 15/01/26 06:24 PM
What are your distractions?Being more social again is definitely a goal of mine, but right now I don't think I'm in the right place to be getting out there, since it's even hard to have fun with my friends | /r/Divorce_Men | 15/01/26 06:20 PM
Give yourself time to heal . Dont rushI realize that this is good advice, but part of me is afraid of staying alone if I don't do whatever is in my power to find someone new. It's been 2 months since she said she wanted a divorce, and 20 days since I found out about her affair. I did go on Bumble two weeks ago mostly out of curiosity, but uninstalled it already last sunday. Still talking with one match off the app now where both of us seem to know that a friendship would work for us, which is nice. Told myself to stay off those apps… | /r/Divorce_Men | 15/01/26 04:52 PM
Something I keep noticing about men in the middle of divorceIt's because we base our identity based on our role of husband. I can objectively say our marriage wasn't the greatest. I can easily say she was a terrible person for having an affair and consistently lying to me throughout the 9 years we were together. But despite that, when I see her now the first thing that comes to mind is why wasn't I enough for her, since me being her husband was the greatest thing ever for me, it was what I had always dreamed about, and when I believed I had achieved it, … | /r/Divorce_Men | 09/01/26 12:37 AM
She made me feel like such a POSWe're not in the US, we something called a marriage contract. My assets are secure, I'll have to buy out her (minority) share of the house, but it won't be an issue. | /r/Divorce_Men | 25/12/25 03:19 PM
She made me feel like such a POSThanks. Knowing it was never my fault is indeed a huge relief. I will get legal advice no matter what but at this point I just want her out of my house asap, I can't legally kick her out so I want to make it easy for both of us, by confronting her, staying calm and just asking her to go. It's crazy to me that even after she finally got what she wanted, she's still hiding it from me | /r/Divorce_Men | 25/12/25 09:56 AM
My thoughts on Walk Away WivesSpot on how this and your original post describes my situation. She was my best friend, I considered us a great team, just compatible people. Then she unloaded that she was unhappy. When I ask why we can't work on the perceived problems she has with me, the only coherent thing she can say is "it just doesn't feel the same anymore". | /r/Divorce_Men | 15/12/25 04:06 PM
