They should be, but people are not always equally called out for being nasty. 1	It’s her way or the highway She wasn't violently resisting arrest, she was barely violently resisting the search because she felt it was illegal. When did she ever act in a violent way towards them? Even when she felt they were ignoring her rights, she only slammed her head against the cop car, she never attacked any of them. 1	It’s her way or the highway It seems like if someone had just taken a non-violent route while explaining to this woman why they couldn't take her to jail yet or why they specifically had to search her, she wouldn't have had a problem with any of it. 1	It’s her way or the highway If the officers knew of that, then they should have said so, to be honest. Not doing so is just laziness on their part and probably caused the rest of this interaction to go badly. Just another reason why social workers should be handling matters like this instead.
