She would probably pay more than 30k to you (i.e. spousal support, assets 🏠 ) if you contested the divorce. You shouldn’t be financially responsible for her either. Sponsors have to ensure the sponsee income is at least 125% above the federal poverty level and she is. If you do it her way, it will benefit her. You should contest

Ended worse for my stbx. A woman with a 5 month old baby kept contacting me only to not believe anything without proof. She believed it after she walked in on him with another woman and the baby in a soaked onesie crying in another room. I’m not sure what she expected

Mine are not OK because their other parent essentially is divorcing them too. They have withdrawn from parenting, visiting etc. they do a little but not even bare minimum and even that is inconsistent. they say they’re trying and want to be better. I’ve heard it’s not uncommon. I think as long as both parents are doing their best, being mature and supportive that children are resilient.

Lucky! My stbx will be 24 with 4 kids. We share 1 but all were born of the marriage. He’s aged so much

No. I mean a child in a state I live and one in another.

What if you have children in different states?

I know plenty of women that pay child support to their ex and they all made significantly more than their ex husband. Seems fair

Did it start out that way? I just want peace and healthy coparenting.

I’m going through this and I truly want it to work. However I’m not going to be upset if he chooses to move forward. It will hurt but I’m not going to force it.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
