Thanks for the advice. I sent a reply just now, along those lines. I invited her to my place previously. She actually lives about 45 mins away by train, so perhaps it's also a logistics issue.

So she replied just now with the following: "I won't be able to do this weekend but if there's anything up next week that would be great :)" What do you make of that? And I intend to avoid replying for now.

I'm just not sure whether I should interpret her slow reply time as disinterest, given that we've only had one 'date'.

I made sure to incorporate kino, touches (small of back, arm when talking about gym etc). That was our first meeting...surely a kiss on the second date is fine? In the past, I invited a girl for dinner, second date, having not kissed her...we ended up hooking up that night.

On what basis? That whole first date seemed flirty to me...not a friendly vibe

What's also interesting is that when she didn't reply to a message on Tinder the same day, she made sure to apologise and explain. So yeah, perhaps just a shit test...

Agreed, but given that it seems she's interested, I don't see why she wouldn't respond positively either way?

This was the text essentially: "Hey, I had a look at...(local venue)....the main shows are booked out this week, but they have a late show. Usually starts at 11pm. Otherwise, why don't you come round for dinner? I'll cook...unless you want to show off your knife skills..." She's training to be a chef.

For what it's worth, I actually left her a message on Tinder to shoot me a text if she was free that Saturday. She texted me to arrange the meet and travelled nearly an hour to visit. Also, I don't see how I could be viewed as beta...we've had one date. She was always initiating conversations on Tinder prior to meeting.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
