it's just as easy to love a rich man as it is to love a poor man. I love this so much!

Good call. Thought it fun to binge watch this during pandemic. Major mistake. So bad. So, so bad.

he understands I’m not there yet I'd rather date a guy who has the same boundaries / timelines as me, rather than one who is 'waiting until I'm ready'. He's not a dog who is patiently waiting until allowed to eat dinner, he should value getting to know me, and not WANT to rush things.

I am a woman, not a chicken. A man who refers to me as a 'chick' is definitely not my type.

Please find someone you can report this to. Maybe there is a (female) professor or dean in another dept you can go to for advice before making a formal complaint. This is terrible behaviour from him, and he should not be allowed to be in positions of authority (inc mentoring). Universities have much more stringent standards these days, at least mine does.

One part of my job involves asking men and women about contraception use. I remember a 60+ year old man who proudly told me he'd "been to the vet" after his youngest was born. He told me his wife had born several children and had taken the pill in-between. So, in his mind, this was the least he could do. Ladies, don't settle for anything less.

He shouldn't even be testing the waters here. He shouldn't WANT strippers.

I think you've just figured out your answer by explaining that situation. As that FDS saying goes, "if he wanted to, he would".

Oh, and like childbirth is completely safe, and doesn't kill women?

Yes! He wants the Manic Pixie Dream Girl to *rescue* him, teach him how to LiVe, lAuGh, LoVe. I used to love those movies until I realised how toxic they are. Edit: typo

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
