California is so expensive because it’s the most desirable and economically productive state to be in, I’m pretty sure its GDP as a state is similar to all of france. It seems like a fantastic opportunity to me, but then again, I’m not American so maybe I don’t understand.

Egalitarian doesn’t mean that their pay is equal, I know that, within research paper where the stat came from, the man and woman both earn between 40 and 60% of the combined earnings. Where a man is considered a primary or sole provider that contribution is above 60%, and that comprises ~55% of marriages. What that means is that in the 30% of marriages the woman is fine with earning similar income to their partners. In the rest of the 15% they’re fine with out earning their partners entirely. So…

45% of marriages are egalitarian or have a primary female provider in the us. So almost half of married women aren’t with a man who makes wildly more than herself.

There are definitely slower periods in stable relationships but if one is genuinely feeling bored and tired of it, it’s probably better to break up. Relationships are meant to enrich lives and bring happiness and if they aren’t bringing any kind of peace or satisfaction and just boredom as the OP is implying, then it’s probably better to leave. I don’t really see where the OP is saying that women should be congratulated or pat on the back for doing this, but if it does then I would agree with yo…

This is terrible I am so sorry that happened to you.

Well using such negative words imply you don’t enjoy being with him anymore… in that case what is the point of staying?

I feel like that’s not what the OP was trying to say? Maybe I’m the one who misinterpreted it, but all that I extracted was that you shouldn’t force yourself to stay with someone if you’re miserable. The same goes for men honestly. Why as a man, would you want a woman to stay with you if she doesn’t even love you and thinks you’re boring to begin with?

Those phrases are mostly perpetuated by other men ironically. I’m not saying women don’t do it at all, just that you have warped this “accepted narrative” in your mind to believe that women are not accepting of male vulnerability when that simply isn’t true.

And yet you present zero evidence yourself. You generalise women and put them into a box, and when some have conflicting anecdotes you assume that they are either an exception to the rule or have some sort of subconscious aversion (which isn’t true). You have absolutely no quantitative evidence for the rule which you claim that I am an exception to. I’ve seen grown men break down into sobbing, like my own father and I can tell you that I never thought him less as a man because I don’t have a sha…

Yeah I believe the stat is around 16%. Around 29% is egalitarian so 45% of marriages don’t require the man to be the sole provider.

Yes, of course everyone has insecurities, i genuinely don’t understand what your first paragraph is trying to say. A partner sharing those insecurities is a sign of trust within the relationship, and if a woman is put off by that then she never loved you to begin with. Secondly, I used Kpop idols as an example because they’re desired by millions of women and girls around the world. Their feminine aspects enhances their appeal, and caters to the female fantasy of having a loving, passionate, cari…

A single instance of a woman being turned off by a moment of vulnerability does not represent women as a whole. K-pop idols, are quite feminine in appearance and overall look (hell a lot of them wear makeup and embrace their softer features). Yes, as a whole, they are more masculine than feminine, but that goes to show that millions of women and girls can appreciate certain feminine traits in men. Anecdotally, I prefer men who can display vulnerability and wouldn’t enjoy a relationship with a st…

45% of marriages are egalitarian or have a primary female provider. Yes, male earners are a majority but it’s quite slim. Relationships are becoming more and more equal in terms of earning. https://www.pewresearch.org/social-trends/2023/04/13/in-a-growing-share-of-u-s-marriages-husbands-and-wives-earn-about-the-same/

They look for a mix of both, a man who is strong and capable but can still be nurturing and attentive towards her.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/12/24 06:44 PM

Have you considered that women aren’t a monolith and some prefer older men and most don’t? Anecdotally, most people I know and myself included would never go out with a guy ten years older…
/r/PurplePillDebate18/12/24 04:22 PM

Yeah these relationships just aren’t very common. I’m 18 and all of the girls my age I know are with guys our age or slightly older. The oldest guy a friend of mine has dated was 25 and that ended very, very quickly haha

In terms of personality traits you’re only focusing on the negatives. Most women I know would absolutely want a caring, nurturing, attentive man. Obviously I don’t believe most women are looking for a man as feminine as themselves but one who has a healthy mix of both.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
