There's a reason dudes on this sub need advice and it's not because they're brilliant and can figure it out on their own, lol.

Yeah, as a woman I can say you're proving his point with your lash out answer and refusal to take feedback. I can absolutely see why nobody would be interested.

No, there are plenty of ways in which you can grow and lose attraction. I've personally seen more times than I can count a woman saying "I thought he was cute at first but then I talked to him and now I wouldn't let him touch me with a ten foot pole". Yes, pretty privilege helps everyone to a point, pretty women get more slack too, and it works better on the more superficial, but it's only one factor. But if you are incapable of learning people on an individual level, by all means go into black …

problem is, you don't tend to get any useable feedback from a rejection I mean, yeah, most people have been conditioned not to be rude and say "ew, your hairline is disgusting" or "why the hell would you say that horrible joke, my vagina just permanently dried up for you". It's socially frowned on, people get upset and maybe mad, and it's just generally not worth the effort to tell every single person exactly what you think of them. In fact, where a woman is drunk, or arrogant, or just dumb enou…

Like do I lead them on like we’re going to have something serious The simple fact that you un-ironically ask if this is a good idea tells me everything I need to know about your character, and most Russian girls I know will be way too smart for a sleazy schmuck like you. You might succeed in catching an especially dumb one, hope that's worth the reward.

It's just realism. She's not very pretty - plain Jane face. She does what she can with make up. She's not loaded enough for medically unnecessary plastic surgery, it would be an irresponsible use of money. It is what it is - she has many lovely qualities as a person and ones appearance is only part of what makes one a person. She's super sweet. She does not, however, have pretty privilege the way I've seen other people get. Nobody is tripping over themselves to get her free drinks or otherwise r…

As a woman who comes from a culture with high expectations for physical appearance, I understand feeling held to a high standard from a physical appearance perspective. It's nothing new for me or women in general, who historically have been held to much higher standards than men. This might be changing more recently, but mostly equalizing, from my perspective. I'll grant that there are some things men are graded on that they have no control over, such as height, but this is the case for women in…

I've turned down more conventionally attractive men for someone who is still attractive, but by most objective beauty standards less attractive. Because of personality and other soft factors. No regrets, I liked them more, because it's not all about looks - I am not dissing them and calling them ugly, just not blind to the fact that most would have considered (some) of my rejected options better looking. You don't have to be the handsomest guy in the room if you're charming and have other things…

Nobody sane denies that looks matter, to a point, to everyone with eyes. It's called the halo effect, it's a cognitive bias, we're all subject to it. Women have been aware of this for forever, being frequently primarily judged based on looks by men. And I can tell you that the difference between how my Attractive Friend Anna gets treated, compared to how my Plain Friend Beth gets treated, is night and day different. Pretty women get treated better. This is somehow a mind shattering revelation th…

*attempted sexual manipulation, lol. I don't know a single woman with self respect who would go for the dudes saying this crap. Maybe they sense that you're a superficial and shallow person when they meet you and that's why they're not interested and do just enough to be polite. Seriously, guys on this sub are so desperate and cooked that they un-ironically ask "does no really mean no, though? ...maybe it was just a test...". On the off chance that it was some sort of weird "test", is that someone you want to be seeing anyway? They're at best really immature, but realistically much worse. And if you think it's a test and it's not, do you really, really want to be branded as "that creep" for pushing on after what should have been a polite rejection? Shit, I live in a fai…

Why do people date in school? Work is the next step for most people (who aren't loaded trust fund kids, but sometimes even then) after school. You spend a lot of time with your coworkers, which can lead to intimacy in various forms (sometimes just friends, sometimes more). You know them without having to download an app. There's also a chance that you have something in common, even if it's as simple as a passion for the work you do, both hating your job, or whatever. Two rocket scientists workin…

Think of the person as another human being instead of a score on "if we don't have sex by date X that means we're not relationship material", or worse, "if they put out faster that means they're more trusting" (trust is earned, and the way you write suggests to me from a country away anyone would do well to distrust you.) Stop overemphasizing sex and emphasize emotional connection. Probably if she feels safe and comfortable with you she will eventually want to have sex with you, but heaven knows…

You all say this and appear to believe it, and then need to go online to ask people for advice on how to get sex 💀 Literally not a single self respecting woman would touch a man who thinks like this with the end of a ten foot dirty mop. You could maybe get someone with severe psychological trauma and deep seated issues to overlook this, but for the sake of not being a horrible human being, just leave them alone, they've gone through enough.

It sounds sleazy because it is, lol. The fact that you don't want to wait until marriage is understandable in the modern world (and pretty much nobody does), the part about not wanting to wait months is a bit more iffy but I can see it as long as it's organic instead of forced on either end. But "girlfriend title"? Dangling it like it's some sort of prize? Like every woman is so desperate for the "title" of being a girlfriend that sex is something she needs to provide it for you? PUAs are so early 2000s it's embarrassing, and I say this as someone who remembers those years as relatively good. That was an embarrassing trend of an otherwise good time. But yeah, ever wonder why the only time you hear about a 70 year old dude dating a 30 year old is when he's super fucking rich and at least implies he'll leave most of it to her when he goes? Finally someone saying the truth. If you're not a loser you're not asking OP's question to begin with. If you are a loser, yeah, any place with vulnerable women who will be fine. Mostly 3rd world countries but also anywhere there is a high population of vulnerable women who might be desperate. Could be the Philippines, or the ghetto, or the trailer park. Have your pick and make it clear what you bring to the table up front.

Yeah, weird how the "men age like wine" thing doesn't actually hold up in reality, only Fantasyland. /s re: the part where it's weird, it's actually not. Turns out that almost everyone, men and women, look better young than old. But some men who missed out when they were young need the copium to say there will be a second chance at young hot girls when they're 50ish, lol.

It's not guaranteed to work in a vacuum, and I didn't say it was a perfect correlation. You do have to have other things going for you, which will look different for everyone. But there are a lot of misogynistic incels out there who seem to think women are a separate species and not know how to talk to them.
/r/seduction31/01/26 05:13 PM

I look at men that women consider misogynistic, what I often see is that there just aren't any misogynist that are bad with women Check out any incel-adjacent sub. While some decent dudes do end up there from time to time, most of them are misogynistic. And, well, clearly bad with women. As far as your real life experiences go, it could be a cultural thing but I've only known two guys who were openly misogynistic and good with women. Most were avoided - for good reason. This is the correct answer. You nailed it, emphasis on the fact that there are a lot of self described "nice guys" who really, really overestimate how nice they really are. Plenty are misogynistic, but tell themselves they're nice because they'd never purposely beat or mistreat a woman even if they see them as inferior. If you can't socialize with someone enough to get to know them, you either have issues with seeing women past what's in their pants, or you struggle at making connections with people in general. One is better than the other, but you have to understand that the amount of people you're compatible with is just going to be smaller if you struggle with socializing so much you can't make connections with people.

Honestly, I think a lot of men on reddit are. Or at least the ones asking these kinds of questions. To me, it's pretty obvious when someone is open to casual conversation. If you misread the signs (it happens to the best of us), shrug and move on.

"leave women alone in public & stop bothering them This is mostly for the creepy guy who overtly follows you around even though you look visibly uncomfortable, had earphones in, and didn't take them out until he got in your personal space. Yeah, don't be that guy. Nobody sane has a problem with someone asking a few polite questions in a safe, casual setting as long as they politely drop it if it isn't well received.

It's not really that complicated, you are or aren't a couple. This can be explicit or implicit. And even if you're a couple, sometimes you break up. Not all relationships last (most don't...). Maybe she cheats, or he cheats, or something else happens. Shit happens. It's not that big of a deal to say "we're dating". It's not marriage. If someone can't even say that little, "we're dating", which doesn't mean you're together forever, you sort of don't have any expectations of sexual exclusivity. Yo…

That is putting the cart before the horse... If someone wants to be faithful to someone they will be, and that by definition means you're exclusive (if mutual), whether or not you have "the talk". At a certain point it's sort of just common sense whether you're in a relationship or not (some people discuss this openly and some just naturally understand and act like it). But if OP has to use the terms "talking to" instead of "my girlfriend", yeah, they are waaaaay not close to relationship territ…

This is such a shit show of a post in general. If you'd only self describe your relationship with the person as "talking to", you have no business giving a shit whom else she does or doesn't "smash". You're not in a relationship or exclusive. If you want to be, ask her to be in one. Until then it's sort of none of your business. Also, I'm not sure if this is some new idea for you, but are you aware that it's possible to be cute, have the opportunity to have sex, and say no? Does that say somethi…

I would consider those to be different. We all realize that nobody is quite perfect. What we seek out is someone whose imperfections complement our own. I don't believe I settled, although I recognize my spouse has imperfections. They're an amazing individual notwithstanding having minor flaws. I have a few friends who unfortunately did settle - self admitted. (Fortunately a minority of folks I know). There's a big difference.

Imagine being this illiterate by the age of 30+ and complaining about another whole gender having lower brain power. Or here's an idea - maybe, just maybe the only women who see someone who can't spell at a 5th grade level and are still interested aren't the brainiacs of their gender either. I'd be surprised if intelligent women didn't avoid the hell out of someone who talks like you do.

There's a difference between checking quickly and paying more attention to it than the date. If someone quickly checks it I'd assume they have a job that doesn't necessarily end neatly at 5p or have life stuff going on. If someone was scrolling through their phone on a date, that's a good time to turn it into a game of "disappear without them noticing and wait how long it takes them to notice", lol.

Sane women with any ability to read people would 100% avoid you, based on how you speak. I can guarantee this attitude comes across face to face even if you don't say these exact words. Down voted for speaking the truth I see. :) There are plenty of guys who are woefully average physically (and occasionally even less than average) who get girlfriends and happily married. They do have to have other things that are appealing about them, though, if the looks aren't the main draw. There are a lot of options... If you want to marry a virgin, nobody is stopping you, but you do have to find love young. Most people don't want to be celibate until they turn 30+, including men, hence all the people who whine about it online. If you don't find the love of your life until you're 35, well, they've had life experiences before you over those 35 years. Including, probably, sexual. Presumably you do too. I think there is evidence to support the fact that less desirable men could and did have relationships in the past, it's just not a good look. Plenty of women were forced into Marriage With Someone, whether by an inability to inherit property, work certain jobs, inability to get a bank account, etc. The less desirable men might not make off with the Homecoming Queen, but all but the worst had a pretty good chance of finding Someone To Settle For Them, have sex with them and have their kids. problem I see is that men and women on the whole are very culturally apart, don't enjoy the same things, don't have the same lifestyle, don't follow the same media, and certainly don't share the same values This seems fairly new. Any theories on what caused it?

So you're admitting to being a 4 that wants a 7+ or a 6 that wants a 10 or whatever? The same thing bitter guys complain about women doing ("average looking women only going for top guys")? The irony. If you're punching above your weight, either self improve to the point where they would want to date you or accept that if you're a 4, another 4 is your level.

You want it both ways, eh. You want a woman you can have "leverage" over in a relationship, while simultaneously being uncompromisingly attracted to her? When the latter requirement would, by definition, require a 7+ on the admittedly oversimplified looks scale? Yeah, I can see why guys with this mentality would struggle, lol. There are two options then. Either date your looks match, which most people need to do anyway. Complaining about only being able to pull 4s if you're a 4 is hypocritical. …

Most of the time these wife beating misogynists don't tell their girlfriend on the first date "I'm going to beat you when we get married". That's not how it works. Plenty of them know how to act charming and pleasant to be around. I will say that there are usually red flags that these women overlook, but that's because these men are charming and pleasant company until she's trapped - whether literally trapped, or just emotionally invested. Best behavior is a thing.

Your rebuttal seems to boil down to an absolute commitment to being extremely lazy and unhealthy. Which is your right, to the extent that you can swing it. But most people aren't going to find that attractive, it's a natural consequence. And the original post was deleted so I can't see exactly how OP phrased it, but you seem to be proving their point about not wanting to do the bare minimum to being a functional adult.

Enter the "men and women can't be friends, they're always just pretending for one thing only"' crowd, lol. Practice doesn't come for free. Dating is, or can be, fun. Yes, you do have to use common sense and not get a bunch of people pregnant and owe child support. People who don't fuck everything that breathes are fine. People who have zero relationship experience, though? No, that's a red flag and they're going to make beginner mistakes. It's just a life experience thing. Everyone sees the rookie mistakes but it's a very different ballgame making those mistakes at 16 as opposed to 26.

Most happy couples I know met in college. It doesn't work out that way for everyone. Shit happens. But there's another side - of a guy was 25 and had never had any dating experience, it would be a massive red flag. And it doesn't get easier with age for most. You don't have to meet the love of your life before 25, but telling people to not date at all is absolutely terrible advice.

Honestly, anyone can have a relationship if they set their standards low enough. Want any warm body? Go pick up homeless people. Try not to abuse their vulnerable selves along the way, but literally anyone can find a warm body if their only goal is relationship title. A relationship actually worth having, though? Yeah, that takes being worth dating. Most folks are at least subconsciously aware of this, which is why they do not in fact go out on dates with that strung up crackhead.

You're 18 and you don't know girls/women IRL? When I was 18, everyone had opposite-sex friends. And friends-of-friends (whom you might get a date with), etc. That's probably the root cause of your problems, not connecting with women as people well. And if that's the case, Tinder probably won't help you unless you're tall with the body of a Greek God and awesome jawline.

Then OP adds to this that most of his stats are related to working out, which never hurts, but isn't a something to make your personality... And nobody thinks they're boring. It's mostly impossible to take that at its word. It's possible OP is, in fact, not boring but the most boring person in the world doesn't tend to admit that about themselves. Who knows, maybe OP is great and u…

Hahahahaha. I literally work personally and closely with the HR VP at a large company. I see this shit personally and up close. But it's always amusing to see people who read too much Internet stories who don't know shit who tell themselves that the person who disagrees with them is the McDs employee in rural Iowa. Lol.

Yes, I covered that. Your mileage will vary depending on how many people there are, whether they are single and how often socializing happened. This is not meant to be a ringing endorsement of "go find your spouse at work". It's me rolling my eyes at people who think it's always impossible or a crazy idea.

If a woman is enough of a psycho to make up something that never happened and won't take no for an answer, you not consensually dating her isn't really going to make a difference. She's happy to make shit up at that point. Hopefully the company is semi competent at internal investigations. I have no doubt some cases have been mishandled but the idea that if you date a coworker you're going to get accused of something and fired is an overblow Boogeyman.
/r/seduction07/05/25 06:15 AM

The stories of "he asked her out, respectfully, once, and got fired" are overblown myths. It could have happened once or twice somewhere (where a company grossly mishandled it, if that actually happened) but this isn't some common occurrence because that's simply not how employment law works. The way it turns into HR problems is if it's "Adam won't stop asking me to go to dinner with him even though I already said no" or "Adam asked me out in the most disgusting, rude, creepy way imaginable". Or…

People are capable of messing up any situation. Avoiding something potentially good because of a risk of failure... well, you could be missing out. Just from one workplace I worked at many years ago there were three weddings/long term couples that I know of. And also quite a few shorter term relationships that didn't work out long term. Having said that I would never recommend someone specifically go out of their way to try to find love at work. It's more of a "if you develop genuine feelings ov…

The type of person who spends a lot of time in clubs is generally not the type of person who spends time at cultured places. There can be exceptions. If you haven't figured this out you might be failing at some pattern recognition.

I personally know a lot of couples, from short-term affairs to marriages, that started at work. It's right up there behind college, which is the best/easiest place to meet. It does depend on people being adults and not continuing to ask someone out who says no, and your mileage may vary based on whether you work from home for a small company or have a social office. But it is definitely not a crazy idea inherently, mileage will vary based on details.

am also highly intelligent. I tend to forget this often Intelligent, charming handsome man, posting on this sub with awful grammar about how smart he is. The joke writes itself. News flash: nobody who is genuinely intelligent needs to brag about it unless you're 10. It speaks for itself if it is actually true.

Oh honey... I talk to strangers quite a bit. It's a lost art I still know. I'm fairly known for being able to make a new best friend out of a total stranger. My point still stands. What OP suggested is just flat out bad advice.

No worries if you don't have time to respond. If you do, I'm confused - there are different time periods being discussed here. The first is the 1950s, with all of the issues you described quite correctly. The second is porn. They're a few worlds apart. Ultimately, perhaps it is for the best that I grew up in a different culture and never watched some of these films. Anyway, the bottom line is that I don't understand how - pardon my frank language - brain-dead stupid someone has to be to buy into…

I guess I'm wondering where they get such a big ego to begin with. Did mommy and daddy tell them they're special and the handsomest man on earth and they actually believed it? I feel like my ego/self esteem is pretty directly proportional to my success and failings, though I try to show myself grace if I really did get unlucky. Still, if I kept repeatedly failing at anything, be that dating or math, I feel like I'd be in no position to have a big ego or think I'm da bomb that nobody appreciates.
/r/seduction30/04/25 04:34 PM

Idk how people with such high self esteem exist, lol. I'm constantly going through life asking myself "what the hell did I screw up this time" even for small errors - and I am, by external metrics, fairly successful in life. To not question why everyone is rejecting someone and then blaming it on "I wasn't born rich" (most people aren't) or "I wasn't born with 10/10 looks" (again, most people aren't) is a mindset I absolutely cannot relate to.
/r/seduction30/04/25 04:05 PM

It honestly really is. It's like that saying, "if you met an asshole in your day, you met an asshole. If everyone you meet is an asshole, you're the asshole". If one girl rejects you, she wasn't into you or maybe she was the problem. If every single woman you've ever tried to ask out rejects you, you're the common denominator. I think 50 Shades of Grey was an awful and damaging narrative in many ways but for fuck's sake it's exactly one fantasy book (a terrible one, need I say) out of so many fa…

It's so funny when someone speaks from literal, personal experience and yet you guys are so intent on believing your worldview, you have to convince yourself that I hallucinated my own life. I chose the broke but charismatic guy over a trust fund kid when both options were available to me at the same time. Some of y'all need to look at the package. Sure, a charismatic bum clearly going nowhere in life isn't going to be desirable for most (though even then sometimes they succeed), but this weird black and white thinking without putting all of the variables together is like trying to do calculus without having learned basic addition and subtraction.

I've dated both - the funny, charismatic broke guy and the conventionally attractive trust fund kid. Trust me, I felt like I upgraded when trust fund kid and I broke up and I started going out with the slightly shorter broke charismatic guy. I turned down trust fund kid's attempt to get back together to stay with broke charismatic guy, so I had both options. These incels either take 50 Shades of Grey as gospel or are looking for any excuse to whine and cry rather than self improve. I genuinely c…

How weird. Guess this guy I know who was a student from a dirt poor family didn't actually have all the girls fighting over him and I must have dreamed it up or something. Crazy how these hallucinations work. Granted, he was above average looking, certainly not ugly. But nobody would confuse him for Brad Pitt's long lost twin. Nobody would describe "perfect physical appearance" as his #1 first impression. He was just very smart and charismatic, had women fighting over him at every turn, and marr…

Agreed. There are limits at the extremes but most people don't want to marry the world's handsomest bum. It sort of affects other aspects of your life. Women do care about looks, but most of aren't so shallow as to marry a guy just for looks who has nothing else going for him because it's insanely stupid. It's not about showing off or getting a provider, but there is a lot more to life than how chiseled someone's abs are when you see them naked. Compatibility matters. Life direction matters. Res…

Dude, nobody cares enough about you to make these stories up. Yes, at a certain level it is going to be extremely difficult. Yes, 4'9 would be in that category, as well as anyone extremely disabled. That is very sad and unfortunate for those bottom 5% or so that fall into the "extremely physically unfortunate" category, but by definition most of y'all aren't at that level. Maybe you won't pull the homecoming queen no matter what you do. Do you go for more average levels of attractive women, too?…

I reject the premise that there is such a wide range of men's preferences. I know a few women who every man goes crazy for. They usually fit a certain type. It's not as narrow of a definition as "thin blonde 90s look", it's a bit more expansive in the modern world, but not by that much. Maybe there's a guy or two out there who wouldn't make a crazy fool or themselves trying to lock them down and marry them, but they'd be the rare exception. These women are every man's dream woman with bidding wa…

And we're all tired of being told that we're all collectively lying about our experiences when we say this. Why would we even lie? Maybe someone is, I personally don't care about your feelings enough to be making up some unattractive guy getting laid just to make y'all feel better. Absent a motive to lie, it appears many women (myself included) know someone who isn't impressive in the looks department who regularly pulls women if they're charismatic. Most people are boring. Finding one who is interesting to your subjective tastes is a process. But if you've never found a woman you find reasonably interesting who you're also attracted to, consider the type of women you're chasing. Are you only chasing women with their nails perfectly done with tons of make up? If so... why would you be surprised that they don't have much to say because most of their day is doing the girly things like nails and make up? If you have a "type", that's on you to s…

Ok, check out Barnes and Noble. Or a library, if you want to be pedantic. Honestly, you're proving my point - as well as your own. Your social skills are in the toilet. From speaking with you briefly over the internet, it is clear why nobody would want to spend any length of time with you. If you have the IQ God gave a goose, you can start with finding a book to give you the basics. Nobody here wants to be your unpaid personal tutor (if you want to pay, ask about my rates.) Good luck.

Then go to Borders or Barnes and Noble or your local library and pick up a copy of "how to make friends and influence people" ffs. You're coming across as lazy to the point of wasting my time. You have all of the world's libraries and bookstores and resources at your disposal and your social skills are still trash? Props for self awareness in that regard. Fix it. You know where to start. No offense, but - read a book. There are literal books on deciphering body language that have been written and published. You can get some of them for free, you just have to get off Reddit long enough to go to your local library or bookstore. The fact that you're asking a Reddit stranger to give you a crash course on body-language psychology says a lot about you, nothing positive, and I mean this in the last-mean way possible.

Not this. It's fine to talk to strangers in the street, but seriously, don't do this *gestures vaguely* what OP suggested. Start with something in common that you think you can reasonably chat about. You're both at the same ball game, which team are you rooting for? Your t-shirt is adorable. If you can't find some genuine common ground and it just boils down to "she's hot", your odds of a successful relationship are low anyway.

Yeah - I'm pretty open minded about cold approaches. I'm not one of those "never approach a woman unless it's on a dating app" folks. I've gone on dates with people who have approached me "in the wild" and am still friends with some of them. Holy shit is this a terrible approach that has liberal-minded me rolling my eyes, thinking, I would hate this. Men: you can approach women in public. Don't do it this way.

hot, cool, fertile young chicks probably have a big enough social circle to ensure that they never have to use a dating app I am surprised when I read about how asocial some of GenZ are. Some of it must have had to do with growing up in a perfect storm of social media and covid lockdowns. But from what I see, many of them are afraid of starting up a conversation with a classmate in school. When I was in college, you were flirting/hooking up with someone you met in class or at a party. When the "longhouse state" that enforces this female-centric order is no longer there, women will once again find themselves drawn to strong men out of necessity, and not purely lust Do you believe that women being hostages to physically strong men is a good trajectory for society?

Literally everyone wants the best option out of what is available. Men and women want the best job, partner, prettiest ring/watch, nicest car, of what is available. Definitions of "the best" may vary depending on the individual and culture, but making this a "women are hardwired" thing is seriously looking to blame women for the most basic tenet of human nature, lol. Nobody with options chooses the worse one for themselves. Sometimes they mistake "the best" or a definition of "the best" may diff…

need to bring more to a relationship than just a paycheck This, really. I think the game has changed in part due to the apps, which I am vocal about. But it never ceases to amaze me how many men are willing to openly say "I have a car and a (mediocre) job and my own place... why do I not have a girlfriend or wife yet?" Just say you have no personality beyond doing the bare minimum for any adult - and wonder why that isn't enough to have your pick of women, lol.

However, this shift hasn’t been beneficial for everyone. It has had negative effects on both genders. For many men, the increased competition and perceived lack of opportunities can lead to frustration, feelings of inadequacy, and even social isolation. To oversimplify, in an attempt to keep things simple: in the not-so-distant past, any guy with a mediocre job could get A Wife, even if he was a shitty person. I think this Chad Harem fantasy is mostly a myth This, exactly. The best-catch men I know are married. Maybe they cheat sometimes, idk, but they certainly aren't avoiding commitment in favor of having perpetual one night stands for the rest of their lives. And I don't know of a single woman who would be "okay with sharing a high value man". Worst case scenario, they do get duped and used for sex and then dumped... which generally just makes them more cautious in the future.

Which brings us to today, where a small minority of men are drowning in pussy, some mediocre men are locked into LTRs where she has the upper hand and knows it, and a large underclass of men who gave largely given up I'm sure there are some handsome/rich playboys who never want to settle down and are happy to "drown in pussy", but I've never met them. They seem like a stereotype that mostly appears with Hollywood celebrities and rock stars. From my life circle, all of the best catches of guys ar…
