This has always been a dream in the back of my mind. Have never thought of any creative way to do this though. What kind of consulting business were you thinking while writing that?

Fuck yeah. Thanks man. You’re absolutely right, and I know this. I’ve read stuff like this countless times. Guess it’s good to hear it directed towards yourself.

This is a good constructive idea. I’ll definitely think about this option. Thanks for the reply.

Why does everyone always compare down instead of up? Like comparing shit to shit? And oh, this shit stinks more, so your shit sink is not so bad, entitled first world problem loser!

I constantly see, and even in my own company, the senior construction workers doing fucking nothing except taking about how all the newer guys are lazy cunts and back in their day... yet the demand for productivity has sky rocketed for the newer (less than 15~ years) guys, and their dollar goes nowhere near as far. Millennials, at least in my job, work harder, get treated worse (get shit on by not only management but their own fellow workers with higher seniority), and can’t afford things like e…

Thanks. Though I’ve heard this before, it’s probably what I was looking for. This is it. Guess one reason I stopped the development stuff was thinking what’s the point when an 8 year old these days is already a better programmer than a lot of experienced programmers. And what kind of app would I even come out with that would make money? Though possibly valuable thoughts they seem to be taking away focus.

Not whining, just stating things as they are. And you’re right, but I’ve been trying this for a long time. I have about 10 projects that I just keep quitting on because they don’t work out. Yes I could keep grinding it out but I don’t want 10 little things that make me $50 a month each. I want more.

No need to be patronizing, tough guy. And are you serious? I’ve been working for 20 years. Never liked anything I did, but it was doable. This job is not, but I don’t want to go down in pay to what I was doing before. And yes, I understand balance. Regardless, the message I paraphrased remains true. 5 to 2 is not balanced as far as time goes.

Balance is not 5 days of struggling life for 2 days of “freedom,” as MJ De Marco I believe it was, said (paraphrased) in Millionaire fast lane. Can not agree with that more. And I don’t JUST hate this job. And I’m not suicidal, but I question hard - why even live if this is it? It’s slow torture. Can’t even afford to buy the cheapest available house while I work in areas where people drive around Rolls Royce’s, Lamborghini’s and other expensive cars during the day for what looks like leisure.

Hey, thanks for your reply. your objective should be "she can forfeit all her power in this relationship to keep it or get the fuck out" I'm not sure how to adopt this attitude/frame... Any tips/advice/examples on this? And she has a few things of mine and she has a bunch of her shit at my place... I could let my stuff go though I guess. Would that be best? I'm wondering now, if she contacts me should I even reply/answer...

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
