Well, I'm not sure whether this is a one-off case, or something that happens frequently, but I don't think I can speak for the United States, as I have not lived there. Nevertheless, I can speak for countries like France, Spain, and Sweden, and also for India, Malaysia, and a number of Northern African countries where I have first hand experience, according to which, my previous comment is consistent.

You do have a point, but in the developed world, I believe that labour law is quite strict. Such incidents happen in places like Africa, South Asia, the Middle East, South and Central America where these laws aren't taken seriously. But, over there, they are Human Rights Issues and not just Men's Rights issues because women are involved too, to some extent. It is just that a) Accidents do happen even if you have amazing safety regulations. b) The 92% statistic is because, well, there are more me…

Good point. The laws seems to talk about causing stress during labour. Perhaps the father has the right to enter after the child is 'pushed out'??
