I was getting pretty good advice on the side, and I also watched a few YouTube videos about false accusations that were uploaded by some law firms. So now I just tell prospective employers to request my personnel file rather than call my old employer. My personnel file is spotless . I.e. “due to your false comments, I incurred $10,000 worth of therapy costs, loads $100,000 in wages etc” But in this case her defamatory comments didn’t actually cost me; rather my boss giving me the phony written warning cost me. If they would have shut her down and punished her appropriately, I wouldn’t have quit. But it was the rush to judgment and then the entrenchment in their illegal position that caused me to quit.
