The only place where journalists have any credibility anymore is comic books. The media isn't the mechanism governed by truth it used to be. How many people in 3rd world/undeveloped countries have the privilege of going to school at all? I agree that it's an issue, but it's an issue that should be tackled from both sides. Why would you seek to make education attainable for only half of the people in desperate need of it?

The owner isn't dumb.. At least not in the way they're being made out to be. They know that the main people shopping there are women, so their tax on men won't really affect their revenue stream.
