Libya bombed a disco full of G.I.'s in Germany. Reagan sent F-111s, F-18s and A-6s in and bombed the shit out of Libya, even hitting Quadaffis tent and killing his son. This was the mid 80's. Same hand wringing then. We're still here

About 10-15 years ago I stopped at a truck-tourist stop in AZ. They had a rack of various books. I picked up a very serious hard cover book titled something like "A Man's Guide to Understanding Women". I opened it up and busted out laughing. All the pages were completely blank.

20 years ago if you told any sci-fi fan that one guy would control both Star Wars and Star Trek, they would laugh you out of the room. But J.J.Abtahms fucked them both up. I was a member of a collegiate flying team 30 years ago. A lot of the judges at our meets were members of the "99's" which was a womens pilot group. I used to joke that the reason they called themselves 99s is because that's how many flight hours it took for them to be hired by one of the majors.
