I didn't come up with the saying. If you had an education you would know from where it came.

No. I think that an accident isn’t a crime.

Which is silly.

That’s why the hate crime designation is stupid, but as long as it exists, this counts as one.

I’d still take that over a legal battle and bankruptcy.

Still better than a legal battle over someone else getting hurt.

It’s way worse if you hurt the other person. If I split my knuckle, I can choose to super glue it if I want and not pay anything. If it’s their injury, they can sue you and get the top treatment and you’re paying for it, no choice.

I’m always worried about knocking out someone’s tooth with a punch and having to pay their dental bill. That’s the kind of childhood I had.

I’m not sure about your stat about “most” statues being private. I do not and will not ever support tearing down someone’s private statue. Where I live, the statues are public property in parks. They are art whether you like it or not, and the government has no business in art. Trashy is subjective. Spray painting and burning shit while you take down a statue is trashy in my opinion. If they petitioned the city, and hired insured contractors, I would be on their side 100%.

The big secret: the vast majority of republicans do not care for publicly funded art, and would be fine tearing down statues if it were not being done in such a violent, trashy manner.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
