It feels so good to get away from reddit for a while. The first few days or so may be tough if you're used to checking it daily, but after that you feel so much better and realize how silly it is to invest a significant amount of your day reading low effort comments from strangers on topics that have no effect on your life. It also made me appreciate books more.

I think the reason most people feel that way is because people around here generally aren't trying to change the world, but rather focus on self improvement and adapting to the way the world is. While I like /r/psychonaut, I think you see a lot of people in there that have gone a little too hard on psychs and fucked themselves up. Shrooms/LSD aren't something you should be taking multiple days or weeks in a row, to the point where it's your lifestyle. It's not as large of a sub, but you tend to get better, more scientific discussion on /r/rationalpsychonaut

From a quick read of that article it looks like they didn't actually film it, they just claimed they did and that was enough for her to backpedal. I imagine filming it would be good enough proof that you didn't do it and would save you from the accusation, but is also a crime. I wonder if you'd then be tried for that? Maybe in a separate case?

You don't have to take these psychedelics at parties for this to work. StarCraft skills can absolutely be marketed, they're seen as a plus in any industry where you need to think quickly AND the hiring person knows what it is. I recently applied for a job as an air traffic controller and included being grandmaster in SC2 on my resume. I figure it should help, but at the very least shouldn't hurt.
