I could give two shits if they care. I care. Others do as well, that is why many people post the archive link. I'm not knowingly clicking a huff post link.

You could. I would never be a Big Sister, cuz I just don't roll that way. So, you are right: he and I were matched based on similar interests and 100% match on gender. Did it give him any advantages in life? Can't say. He definitely had a bad parent and an absent parent. But, I felt the complaints about him were about his innate maleness frankly. He was just being a boy. Granted he was a little on the "Lord of the Flies" side, but he wasn't feral. I cannot speak if the mother would've treated a …

Well, it was just a feeling I had in 2000-2002 era. I had been through a divorce. I had been a Big Brother. So, those two things colored my perception, let's get that clear. In the divorce, I've just recently recovered from financially. So, it took me close to 20 years to recover. (I was divorced for quite a few years before I met my wife and baby-mama) My ex and I were married for 9 years -- and it took me close to 2x that to recover. That is just financially. The mementos and personal belongin…

I've never visited that sub, but I'm curious if you want to expand on this question with your rationale for asking?

my kid is a teenager, I remember when she was born I was thankful she was not a boy. Not that I didn't want a boy-child, I just knew what the climate was like for boys after being a Big Brother. Sux for sure, hopefully the tide is turning?

FFS. Shit like this needs an archive link so yahoo doesn't get any more impressions from us. TL;DR: A woman reporting on a study performed by two women that adjust the findings to fit the narrative. Study not linked, no sources cited.

an uncomfortable, "Uh, I'm not sure where this conversation is going. Can we pretend this did not happen?" I was grateful for the mulligan. Still cringe just thinking about it.

I'm approaching 50. Have had 1st prostate exam. Can attest: is uncomfortable. Story Time! Came back to work the next day after exam. Said to gay male co-worker, "I don't know how you guys do that!" I am not a smart man. (I hadn't had morning coffee yet, in my defense) Anyway- get checked guys!

I saw a response when something similar was posted : use the women's restroom. If questioned scream gender assumption or some such, then claim discrimination. Watch em baffle about

I'd have to be blind to not get that reference. The joke was: if he's doing stuff that involves Kingpin, Elektra or others he's either a whistleblower or a fall guy, but either way he runs with a heavy crowd.

We're a generation of men raised by women. I'm beginning to think another woman is not the answer.

Twist of the Wrist http://www.amazon.com/Twist-Wrist-Motorcycle-Roadracers-Handbook/dp/0965045013 full of stuff that seems counter-intuitive, but is consistent with the laws of Physics. Easy read, easy to practice, can save your life. IF you are mechanically inclined, check out getting a Honda CB (or similar 70s Jap bike) and wrench/rebuild it your self.

I divorced my mom soon after my divorce to my first wife. I was in the mode of cutting caustic or parasitic people out of my life. My mom was just next on the list. I thought long and hard about where my life was headed, why I was in the mess I was in, and what I should do to make it better. (Note- I took responsibility for everything. There was no blaming.) I finished my degree. Quit my job. Got a job in my new career field. Started lifting. Read more books. And anyone that ever held me back wa…

slightly related: An old bull and a young bull were sitting on top of the hill looking down in the pasture where all the cows were grazing. The young bull says, "I'm going to run down this hill and fuck me a cow!" So he takes of running, when he gets to the bottom, he fucks a cow. The old bull walks down the hill and fucks ALL the cows. Be the old bull.

The Bitch Came Back - Theory of a Deadman. I don't know (or care) if it's "metal" enough. But, the lyrics are RP: "I like her so much better when she's down on her knees 'Cause when she's in my face that's when I'm starting to see That all my friends are laughing thinking that we belong Well she's so fuckin' stupid that she's singing along The trouble with girls is they're all the same Forget the diamonds and pearls they just want a ring Before you know it you're like a dog on a leash Well you c…

does the fact he is over-rating her mean that he could potentially have oneitis? Or its just merely a subjective scale? This could alter some of the advice he's given. @LeMisery - dude, I have a friend that is a professional photographer -- gets hot young chicks wanting to do nudes (and more) all the time. He's married and in his early 40s now, so that's out. But, you should NOT be worrying about this AT ALL. Just line up some free "head shots" for potential models, or offer to be social media o…

When I see AWALT, I say "yes". I understand that on an emotional level, but intellectually, I have to ask myself: "What is the one constant in all of your failed relationships?" People look at me funny when I ask them that question, but it has served me in good stead for the last dozen years or so.

Is it possible to lock it down now at ~82K, go on a ban-hammer rampage now until the rank and file (me) get in line? Keep the sub "read-only" for those coming here from elsewhere. Then make it invitation only after that. This way we have a large enough community to have meaningful dialogue, other men can find us, we cut down on shit, and we can get on with things.

As a semi-attractive Alpha. I fall somewhere in-between. What sucks is I got brain-washed by being raised by mom and her best friend. Being the only child around women all the time will tend to do that. The stuff that I knew was right got overwritten as a teen, and it's taken 2 decades and one failed marriage to recover. I did not know about the asktrp. Thx for the tip.

preach. I had a newsletter back in the 90s, (before blogs) and I pondered the meaning of Happiness. At least as it pertained to me. I even differentiated between happiness and Happiness. (note the capitalization) Your post brought that back, and I re-read that stuff. I sure wish I knew then what I know now. It makes me happy though to just know that I'll simply never be happy. Thanks for the post.
