It's not really about the top teams of a sport, it's about the popularity of the sport. The teams might make it to the finals but if not enough people are watching to begin with there is not enough money to hand out to match the other sport. Oh well, the team managed to scam a bunch of rich soccer managers with a social-media mob. Now that the mob is gone and the dust has settled I wonder if the managers are going to try getting back some of the money they lost with their contracts as leverage.

The actual issue isn't that those terms don't need to exist it's just that they're too broad and deserve more, better terms. Toxic Masculinity is a catch-all for a bunch of undesirable characteristics, as would toxic femininity. For instance, Toxic Masculinity would be used to define a man who disregards someone's emotional issue: that's better defined as "callous" and is fixable.

Fair point but it's because when just listing the rape statistic ungendered people will assume it's the amount of women raped and forget that men are in that statistic too. Deaths don't have that stigma (if that's the word).

It might be a combination of that and the fact that she's the team leader. A good leader accept the awards but passes the credit to their team which almost everyone in the thread says she's been kind enough to do. There's been a bit of revisionist history with this event but on the whole I think everyone on this team has won the jackpot for their careers and I'm happy for all of them.

God thats awful to read. Just a general tip if you ever see something like this going down: break it up immediatly and don't let anyone leave. Take some time, have everyone collect themselves and wait on the authorities. Mob mentality is horrific, it's led to situations even worse than this one. If you see a mob forming try to keep everyone spread out, it's all you can do.

The distinction allows a label for people interested in gender equality but not Feminism. But Femisim is popular. It absorbed many other progressive movements under its banner.

Isn't that by definition affirmative consent? If you do not want any sexual advancements you give denial of consent ("no", "I'm not interested") and if you want sexual advancements you give approval of consent ("yes", flirting) and the action of flirting is consent by action. Regardless I think flirting by anyone has no place in a professional environment but good luck with that.
