You certainly don't remember getting circumcised, but everything women go through they go through while fully conscious of the fact. Ask a seventeen-year-old boy how badly he feels about the time he was circumcised as an infant and he won't have a concise answer for you, he couldn't possibly remember it. Ask a seventeen-year-old girl about what happens to her on a month-to-month basis and she will have a much easier time describing just how badly it hurts.
