Yes, good point. Cannot refute that. Should he have stayed on the shore? And let those boys drown? Let us be thankful that we are not put in such a position. The act of this man shows to me the inner goodness, righteousness still present in many men. I am glad a lot of people helped the crowdfunding so his family at least financially will be taken care of.

I am not gonna lie, in today's world I do understand where you're coming from. But with all this negativity around us snd the state of the world it is in currently I think it is admirable that there are still men out there who abide old, long set rules. While enjoying a nice weekend on the beach he, when he saw some kids in the water in panic, without hesitation jumped into the sea and helped three boys. Unfortunately, the current was too strong and he didn't make it back himself. Installed Tinder today, out of curiosity, just to have a look. It is sad to see how many women only show (photoshopped) face pictures with a glass of wine or other drink. I take it that showing more of their physique would hinder their marketability. Deinstalled the app again after 15 minutes. Don't want to think of having to spend my time with one those self inflated egos who thinks she is a gift to men.

Actually these are the kind of traditional strong women. Those women that run a household, raise a bunch of kids, know how to make a nourishing meal out of scraps and help their men when needed without hesitation with the physical work on the land. Bless such women.

Exactly this! I have a colleague, supersmart, PhD Astronomist, works on financial models whic make your brain hurt, this guy is a walking supercomputer. He knows details of what is happening in a far away galaxy, but e.g. when I try to explain him what and why is happening in Syria he looks at me as if I am crazy. He fits exactly in the expected stereotypical man model (married, wage slave, wife boss at home etc). I cannot understand that even such smart men become controllable mindless androids…
