Fundamentally, I would suggest that people are attracted to other people for long-term relationships when they demonstrate that they have a strong sense of responsibility to their own personal development and success. I would also add that their sense of responsibility extends to caring for the important people in their lives. I don't think it's a gender issue either, and it doesn't really correlate to cash in the bank. Ambition can be an indicator, but it has to be in context. Ambition speaks t…

It's like watching a train wreck or car accident right before your eyes. Turn away. Be with other complex, positive people. Sometimes when I watch something soul crushing, I have to watch something that is the complete opposite to snap back. For example, if I was watching the Handmaid's Tale, I'd need to watch Broad City just to get back to equilibrium. Those TRP guys are shock jocks who believe their own propaganda about women. Don't give them the power of your views.

No amount of your deep feelings for him can protect you from the hurt he is inflicting. Your deep feelings is a testament to the depth and strength of YOUR character and YOUR emotional intelligence. I know it's hard, but it's much more difficult to leave longer you stay. I know from experience.

TRP is a gaslight grenade for both men and women. The best way to protect yourself from a grenade is to run in the opposite direction. You didn't plant this TRP inception seed in his mind, so you can't unplant it. He and his therapist ( not you and him and therapist) are the only ones who can untangle his faulty thinking and help him relearn how to treat others with dignity. You CAN break up with him respectfully and humanely. You CAN be firm on your boundaries that respect your own dignity. You…

I agree with you 100%. I believe the alpha term came from observing wolves. The researchers saw one wolf taking a lead role among other wolves. When they reexamined the pack, it turned out the "alpha" was just the father of the other wolves. It was more about being a responsible and experienced father, not some imagined threatening sexual prowess. Relationship matters. Context matters. It's a shame how culture can twist original meanings. NY magazine "Rise of the Alpha Male"

Yes. I have a career. Yes. I have children. So yes, I have both. But your question is limiting because you assume that children and career is ALL. I have a dynamic spiritual and (monogomous) sexual life. I have hobbies, goals, plans, values and purpose. Technically, I have it ALL. Do all the things I have rock at 100 percent efficiency and awesomeness. Nope. Because I'm human and there are only 24 hours in a day. It's the physics of the situation. You can have it ALL. But holding it ALL at once …

Wow. Thank you for your perspective. My experience with this has been long. But I strive for resilience, faith and compassion every day. I'm currently in the narcissist abuse recovery journey, and I'm finding my legs. A few things you should know about me to help you have context for my experience. We've been together over 20 years and have 3 kids. I was a stay at home mom until the youngest entered kindergarten. I'm an empath and a truth seeker. My professional work relies on my compassion and …

Thank you for sharing. True fearlessness, on a biological level, is to be trusting and open. But true fearlessness is biologically rare. We need fear for survival, to prepare for the dark winters in our lives and self preservation. But beyond physical survival, it traps us emotionally. I commend you for your honesty and self awareness. Sadly, TRP has wrecked my marriage. My husband seems locked in its grip. I thought loving him enough, being his safe place would be enough. But I'm human. I have …

You didn't need the red pill for having a higher expectation for yourself and your behavior. I'm sure your girlfriend loves you when you treat her with equality and respect because when you do, you are respecting yourself too. Being a good person always shines through. That applies to men and women equally.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
