You’d have to ask them. I suppose they like tall, dark men that do well for themselves, because that’s me. For what it’s worth, this is over like 12 years since I’ve been sexually active. So probably averages out to about 1-2 people a month over the past 12 years, and earlier on I was intentionally trying to get it as high as possible with random hookups because my immature brain thought it was cool.

I’m in this category. Very much an introverted homebody nerd gamer type. Body count 200+ (lost count) in early thirties. All I use is dating apps. Never picked up a girl in person once in my life, I’ve only been to a club a handful of times and don’t go to bars or anything like that.

Yeah I wasn’t trying to convince her. I was just explaining my perspective. And she was dumbfounded. Still had a good overall date with lots of touching, kissing etc. but didn’t push for any kind of close since she was way too reserved and kept describing past bad experiences with men, didn’t feel like it was a good time to try to make moves lol.

I was just having a conversation about this on a date yesterday. She was of the opinion that one should be performative and only slowly reveal themselves over time. I told her I approach life in quite the opposite way; that being polarizing and having a sense of identity regardless of social cohesion helps filter out incompatible people and find people you are highly aligned with, with less time wasted. She just couldn’t wrap her brain around this way of thinking lol. All she has ever known is a…

I understand where you’re coming from. But given the context that this is a very casual dynamic where we see each other every 1-2 weeks or so for sex and then otherwise aren’t involved in each others lives (and that’s never going to change), I didn’t feel the need to overly communicate or share my grievances in the moment. I don’t owe her anything; she is who she is, and I don’t care to change that or “communicate” with her as though she were my long term monogamous partner. But now knowing more…

Girl I’m fwb with came over last weekend to cook with me (dinner date at my place). She left without cleaning up after herself. Whole kitchen was disgusting. No worries, I let it bounce off me like a robot, didn’t say anything, took care of it myself. When she asked to hang out this weekend I told her no. Told her she left my place a mess and I didn’t like that, and that I don’t want to see her right now. I didn’t say anything else, just left it at that. She replied emotionally being really apol…

One that comes to mind was a fwb situation. Absolutely gorgeous girl. Just such a pretty face, easy on the eyes. And had absolute WATERMELONS, on a thin/average frame with nice hips. Good bone structure and symmetry all around. Physically, she had it all. And personality wise, she was just as great. She was shy, down to earth and rather introverted. Came from a small town and didn’t use social media much so didn’t have a super inflated ego. But here’s the kicker: she had 3 kids from 3 different …

A girl I confirmed a date with a week and half ago has been texting me daily non stop. We met on hinge and confirmed plans (scheduled far out due to some schedule conflicts) and I told her to text me and that I’ll touch base on the day of to confirm. I had no intention on endless chitchat throughout the waiting period. Well…she texted me, and here we are close to the date and she won’t stop texting me. Even when the conversation starts to go dry, she’ll ask about my day etc or start a new thread…

I feel like there’s one major aspect of wealth being overlooked here. Your post heavily emphasizes current millionaires. What about people with a solid career and an easy path to millions down the road, say in the next 2-8 years? For instance, in my line of work (tech), everyone I know makes like $200-500k a year, myself included, and mostly we’re all young people (late twenties, early to mid thirties). I’m 30 and have a net worth of $1m from just a few years in tech, and it’s not really uncommo…

Consider this: you have been with her for a while, have built a routine around each others lives, and you feel that addiction towards her in some regard. Now take all of that away. You will feel a hole in your life where she once was, despite all the new girls you’ll be meeting and banging. Once those girls go home and you’re left to sleep alone in your apartment, you’ll think about all the times you were sleeping with your girlfriend and holding her in your arms. You will miss the consistency o…

Personally, I did ok in Seattle. Lived there for about 3 years and have been to many other cities. I can think of so many experiences I had with women from Seattle, three of which I still talk to this day even though I’ve moved to another city. One is a good friend, another has flown to me to hang out for a weekend and have fun, the other I was in a bit of a love triangle with and she still reaches out occasionally Other than those 3, I had probably a dozen flings or hookups in my time there. I …

People are people. Let them be them, and you be you. If you are incompatible with a person (I.e. his family members), don’t interact with them. Simple. You don’t have to be friends with everyone on earth, it’s okay to choose not to associate with people. It’s part of growing up and maturing and knowing who you are and what you are willing to be around and tolerate. Given that, if being around his family is a non-negotiable for him, then you have two choices: learn to adapt for the sake of the re…

Unemployed is clear, but what does uneducated mean? Like no high school diploma, no college degree, or just a generally dumb and ill-informed person (regardless of academic credentials)? If you’re referring to academic credentials, personally, I think formal education is overrated and certainly not any indicator of someone’s success in profession or career, I mean there are plenty of useless and debt-ridden college degrees/graduates out there. I make ~$300k a year in tech with almost a mil net w…

Nah bro don’t. She’ll expect you to do that, don’t be predictable. If anything, you not acknowledging her birthday might prompt her to message you the next day, MAYBE, if there’s any hope of salvaging things.

Okay so he wants you to go over to his place, cook for him, and provide the food. Got it. Calmly explain to him how this makes you feel. And then suggest an alternative that would make you not feel that way, like having him at least pay for the groceries. Your past experiences are valid, but I hardly think this particular situation you described is grounds for termination of a 6 month relationship, ESPECIALLY if you haven’t even had a conversation about it yet.

“Lifestyle restrictions” is so vague. It could mean he stopped a porn/OnlyFans addiction (which is great!), or vowed to never eat out ever again (which means no more dates for you, and would be an understandable thing to be upset about). We need more details.

Tell him exactly what you told us. Describe to him how his actions made you feel, and how you would’ve preferred he handle the situation. If he is receptive to that, great, not all hope is lost. In that case, continue encouraging him. If he shrugs it off, you may need to make a difficult decision at some point in the future.

What this person said. You can basically ignore every other response. In fact, delete this post, you got the best answer you’re going to get. Always lead with honesty, especially with something as trivial as what you do for a living. And most providers don’t want a career woman anyway, so by pretending to be something you’re not, you’d actually be shooting yourself in the foot.

The irony of people overly obsessed with inclusiveness and having a space where they can be heard (e.g. groups like r/TwoXChromosomes and every other echo chamber on Reddit) is that they tend to be the most exclusive and non-tolerant people you’ll ever come across. Social Justice 2.0 - where cancelling those that have opposing views to you is seen as some form of a virtue.
