well hold on, I said true to myself, not masculine energy. I am not nor have I ever been masculine, and I'm okay with that. I've never looked into seduction stuff like this because I've always been taught "be yourself." It's not until now that I'm realizing "okay hold on now, being myself isn't working. maybe I SHOULD try to be masculine and read seduction tips.

my problem is that not overthinking and just being myself (the way I am around my boys) hasn't done shit. I don't freeze up around women, it's just my inherent personality isn't really attractive. so I'm thinking maybe I have to change how I act after 29 years. it's like the 40 year old virgin said, "what feels right hasn't worked for you, you need to try some wrong." hence me coming to this subreddit and trying to figure out how to act "unnaturally"

it's cool and everything, but I don't like the idea of teaching little boys that men should act a certain way.

I guess I just think makeup, nails, hair, etc are just as fun and respectable as other hobbies. Have you seen the skills of the people on that MUA subreddit? It's insane.

I don't see why they're off limits. Theyre a fun hobby just like anything else. I mean, if we stop doing things that are "pointless" then we would have to get rid of a lot of stuff.

I don't agree, but it's an interesting idea

I guess I just don't correlate femininity with "seeing yourself above such work"

I already don't. I never call men "bitch" or "pussy" or force them into doing what I deem "masculine behavior"

I thought a big aspect of Men's Rights was that feminists are causing problems for men and it needs to be done away with? That second point is just yuck though. Fuck that guy

man, thats a scary thought. that men can't have those traits because it will literally bring down society. Now THATS a society I wouldnt want to live in haha

Yeah I think it's different that it's basically the same reasoning. The Peasant/King is the perfect analogy for both. One thinks it's like a peasant dressing up like a King, and one thinks it's like a King dressing up like a peasant. Another analogy I've heard is that it's like an adult dressing like a baby.

Do you subscribe to the theory that men only do things if it means pleasing a woman?
/r/MensRights10/01/16 10:06 AM

I said "traditionally feminine" things not "different behaviour."

what do you mean by society doesn't need women that much? Assuming the obvious "reproduction" necessity. Why doesn't society need women but does need men?
/r/MensRights10/01/16 03:45 AM

So basically, feminists say that it's frowned upon because women are seen as bad in society, therefore dressing up as a woman = bad; but mras say that it's frowned upon because women are seen as good in society, therefore dressing up as a woman = trying to be better than you really are? Interesting. I don't really subscribe to the theory of "sexual value," but it was certainly an interesting read!

I don't even understand why people hate MRAs and /r/mensrights in the first place...

Because when I used to say that Feminism is about trying to empower women, I would always get told "No! Feminism is about genders being equal you retard, guys can be feminists too!"
/r/MensRights12/03/12 04:12 AM

I thought true feminism meant fighting for equality of both genders, and that the women who call themselves feminists but fight more for women empowerment and to bring down men aren't really "feminist."
/r/MensRights12/03/12 03:49 AM

Yeah no shit, thats why so called "feminists" that are more for empowerment of women rather than equality piss us off. We already know what feminism means, and thats why we dislike fake feminists. Hell, MRAs ARE feminists

yeah I agree

I'm probably gonna get downvoted, but I'm big on Men's Rights, I'm not trolling or being insulting to men. Hell I'm a guy. I think it sucks that its this way and I wish we could change it. However I can SOMEWHAT see it from their point of view Heres what I think is going on. Generally in our society, the men have to go up to women and make most of the moves. Obviously not EVERYBODY and times are changing, but this is generally how it still mostly is. Thats why bars and clubs have ladies nights, …

yeah all i was stating, is that I never see that distinction made before anywhere until it happens to be about men
/r/MensRights24/02/12 02:43 AM

I'm not saying SHE would. I was just making a statement about how I've never seen a distinction like that about women. This is the first time I've even seen a legal distinction like that in an article, and it just happens to be about men. I consider myself a feminist so I've read articles like this, but I've never seen anywhere "the woman was sexually assaulted, but not raped"
/r/MensRights24/02/12 02:28 AM

Are you seriously disputing this?
/r/MensRights24/02/12 02:19 AM

I understand they're not. However if this was about a woman, they would not be making that legal distinction
/r/MensRights24/02/12 02:14 AM

holy shit yes this part fucked me up. HOW CAN THEY SAY THAT. Anything sexual done to a woman without consent is considered rape, but for men the definition is different!? wtf?

The worst part is, she is rewarded for it. Sure we're smart enough not to "pay her for being hot," but there will always be guys that do just that and she'll always be able to find them.

you're really not for gender equality? wtf? how old are you?

I'm not trolling. Obviously "make me a sandwich" is offensive. It's like saying "come blow my nose" or "come wipe my ass." You don't need someone to do it, and asking someone to do it in that way is just insulting. I'm saying that things like fixing a car shouldnt equal "making a sandwich" and that I see it more to mean like cooking a meal or something. Fixing cars or computers or cooking aren't just things any idiot can do. They take some learning. Sure those things might not be HARD to learn, …
/r/MensRights03/01/12 09:45 AM

I see the "sandwich making" to mean more like "women cooking." In that case I can see how a woman asking a man to fix her car and a man asking a woman to cook him a meal is the same thing as those things have to be learned individually and aren't just simple things like making a sandwich.

Yep, a girl can refuse sex for years, but if a guy refuses sex, he's a "pussy"

I don't want that though. I like strong independent "tough" feisty women :/
/r/MensRights19/12/11 02:18 AM

How do you do that though? When I try to "stand my ground" so to speak, they break up with me or cheat on me or stop caring for me basically. It always happens to me. Obviously not all women are that way, so there has to be something wrong with me. I just don't know how to get into a relationship thats equal rather than her always having the power.

what do you mean?

In my case all the women I know and meet and date do win all of our arguments and have all the power :/

Is this a good thing for men?
/r/MensRights12/12/11 02:01 AM
You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
