In my experience, and speaking for myself as well, generally straight men don’t like supermodels. That’s why supermodels exist in an industry geared towards women. And why the models in areas of society geared towards men aren’t super skinny like that.

It’s a mistaking of loudmouth superficial confidence (overcompensating for their internal lack of confidence) for confidence, when true confidence is quiet because it’s internalised. Besides that, often what they’re really after is an asshole they can “fix”. That’s the fantasy. You don’t have to fix a guy who is nice, confident and well rounded.

I genuinely think women in general have a really poor understanding of height. I’ve had women say they thought I looked 6’ tall when I’m only 5’9” They say they want 6’3” but what they really mean is like 5’11” or something. I’m quite sure of it. It’s the only way I can explain why there’s so many with such ridiculous expectations.

Not all addictions are necessarily a big deal. It’s when it seriously affects your ability to lead a normal life that it becomes a problem. Needing a cup of coffee in the morning or enjoying a glass of wine in the evening you might call an addiction (though I’d argue that’s a stretch) but it’s far from a serious one.
