What does it say about you as a person that I told you I didn’t want to engage with you anymore, and you start a sock account u/LaughingStockTheBoat? Are you really that big a loser that you not only can’t take rejection in a reddit thread but you have to make a new account to get a woman to continue speaking to you? Ewww. No thanks.

I think that may be true, unfortunately none of those men are the ones giving advice in this sub. Meanwhile men who are bad at speaking to women are giving other men terrible advice on here, and none of them are listening to the women. It’s probably better for men to look around their real lives and see which of their male friends have proper, high quality relationships and ask them for advice than to come into this weird echo chamber of nonsense.

No. I just have zero interest in talking further to such a negative, woman hating loser. I mean, you’re used to that right? And I’m not replying to you upthread anymore either. If you hate women so much and don’t want to actually meet or date, then this isn’t the sub for you.

God you’re a sad little man. Colour me surprised you’re single.

Ugh. You’re not agreeing with me. You’re saying that there’s two options. Be that guy, or give up. That’s not it! Option three is be a decent human, treat women well, and have healthy relationships. That’s the option we all actually want taken, right???

Read his original comment and tell me honestly that you don’t see any problematic attitudes towards women. Good men do not behave like this. Men like this do not get dates.

Those who aren’t comfortable do go to female gyms. The ones that are ok dealing with the mixed environment do so. You said that YOU are uncomfortable with women at your gym. That’s on you to resolve. It also makes you sound like you hate women but that’s also a you problem. Seriously? Bars, clubs, libraries, social groups, parties, events, concerts, any of the many places people go to meet other people. I had to wade through the forest of entitled, rude, misogynistic, incel, bitter, angry, twist…

Women don’t need to absent themselves from public spaces to make you comfortable. If you want to work out without women present, make different choices yourself. That’s what women do, and it’s a two way street. There are plenty of liminal spaces where men and women can meet that aren’t dating apps, or places where women are paying to engage in a specific activity like the gym. But apps aren’t all bad - at least on an app you know that (most) people are also seeking that kind of dating driven int…

I’ll go tell my long term partner that we need to stay locked on our floor, righto 😂

Your post history says one woman, who isn’t hitting on you but asking you for gym advice but SURE JAN.

@blueberryscones46 I completely agree. It’s hilarious to me that this sub is full of thirsty men telling other thirsty men how to “seduce women” AKA flat out shitty advice, but they’ll troll and downvote ACTUAL WOMEN telling them that’s not what any of us want.

Also a girl who goes to the gym and this is not what I want either. Also, men please understand that this behaviour is why female only gyms exist. My gym has a separate, locked floor that’s women only. We don’t want to be hit on when we are PAYING to use a space for a specific purpose that isn’t dating. Hitting on us isn’t making that space feel safe or welcoming. Don’t be this guy.

And then they’ll realise your attitude is this bad and leave you. Get off the red pills gents. This is ugly.

You definitely and absolutely do need to tell partners about this in advance.

Or it could just be that girls don’t really like it when you hit on them, and their friends, at the same time. Show a bit of respect and decorum - pick one girl and don’t hit on her friends, even if they’re “hotter”. In the same way that you didn’t like the girls moving on to flirt with your hotter friend. It feels like crap, so don’t do it to others.

I have a boyfriend but thanks for assuming 😂 I also have a good enough grasp of the English language and gender politics to know I selected the correct word to describe your sexist explanation - but thanks for further demonstrating my point with yet more mansplaining. My opinion is as valid as anyone else’s here. Except yours on this topic. On this topic my opinion is more valid than yours because mine is based on facts and law. Yours is based on a general misunderstanding of basic HR principles…

No, the word I wanted was mansplain. That’s why I used it. By trying to tell me that’s not the word I wanted you’re being patronising. Both are irritating traits that you may like to consider if you ever actually want to be successful at attracting a mate. I’m here to offer helpful and legally supported advice like “don’t hit on a service provider, and it’s not ok for them to hit on you”. It’s unclear why you’re here.

Did you seriously just mansplain to me how it’s totes ok to be a sleazy dude at work as long as you stop when the client WHO IS PAYING YOU FOR A SERVICE is demonstrating that they are uncomfortable with your advances? Can you hear yourself?

OMG welcome to 2021, where hitting on your patients IS - whether you like it or not - unprofessional and actually classified as sexual harassment. JFC. I hope you’re not in a job where you hit on people. That’s gross and not ok.

Sounds like inappropriate behaviour to me. I’m sure physios fall into the group of treating medical practitioners who shouldn’t be sexually harassing their clients during appointments. If you want to know if he’s single, ask him. And then find a new physio. Imagine if he was behaving like that and you didn’t find him attractive… would you be happy about it?

If you really like her, talk to her. What’s the point of having a relationship with anyone if you can’t be honest. I’ve had boyfriends with the same issue and honestly, it’s not that big a deal. Like you said, its anxiety and it was in their heads - once they knew I didn’t care and wasn’t going to freak out, everything was awesome. Be honest and have the conversation.

Unless this girl that you’ve seen on IG is an ACTUAL friend then all you’re doing is sexually harassing a stranger. So don’t do that.

You should definitely ask around to find out who else she’s slept with, and then act like a complete jerk, just like the guys she’s NOT dating. Yes. That’s definitely the right plan. Alternatively, you could try being yourself and treating her like a human with agency, thoughts and feelings instead of only seeing her as a sexual object.

Yeah. I’m the one woman in the entire universe who disproves this “rule”.

I think that’s a total generalisation. I make excellent money, and in my whole dating life have only dated one guy, briefly, who made more than me. Not everyone is motivated by money. I’ve dated ugly, short, fat, bald, tall, skinny, muscular, clean shaven, bearded, long haired, military, mechanic, farmer, businessman. Personality matters to some people. Not everyone is chasing this imaginary six foot something, Greek god looking “Chad” that men seem to think is stealing all the women folk. Lol. …

Personally I wouldn’t use anything more than six months old. It’s weird looking at a guys profile and their photos are literally from 20-40 and you end up with no idea what they look like now.

I don’t really see the point. Just put in recent photos of yourself. A range of photos through the years isn’t necessary and personally I don’t think it adds anything.

Relationships aren’t a game. Start to treat women like actual people, get to know them in different environments and only hit on women who you actually like.

You must be fun at parties. Evolutionary biology was the wrong term. You are just waffling twaddle rather than admitting you’re wrong 🤷🏻‍♀️

Evolutionary biology doesn’t do that. Evolutionary biology gave us opposable thumbs and the ability to walk upright. It didn’t implant this weird dichotomy between what’s acceptable for a man vs a woman. A patriarchal society that values women’s virginity over their intelligence and personality has done that. Society does treat men and women differently. That’s my point. And it shouldn’t because there’s no difference. A woman’s value is no more lessened by her sexual history and choices than a m…

It only has different connotations for men and women because you think it does... evolutionary biology =/= sexist outdated thought processes.

Does it make the guys sluts? Because they’ve engaged in exactly the same behaviour. Slut is such an ugly, negative word. And what does it mean? A woman who enjoys sex? A woman who has sex? Men do the same but they’re not shamed for it.

This is a really interesting take. I met a guy and we texted heaps, met in person and there was ZERO spark. But the text convos are great. So we kept texting. Met again. ZERO spark. Decided to be friends. Text every day. It’s nice. But it’s a level of intimacy that I think is stopping him from going out and finding someone he actually has spark with. And tbh it’s stopping me too. But none of that makes the spark be there when it’s not. I wish I’d seen this advice earlier.
